I am writing this review in my room after being here 3 days. (I am adding this edit: I read some of the positive reviews...they seem to be from the owners trying to make this place sound acceptable. Read the positive reviews and compare to the response from the owner on another post. All of the critical reviews are RIGHT ON PAR with MY EXPERIENCE RIGHT NOW. I am going to try to take pictures and post online so you can see that the critical reviews ARE ACCURATE....RUN! DONT WALK!). This is an OLD outdoor MOTEL converted to indoor by just building walls around. Our room was VERY old down an isolated corridor. The outside was not well kept. Inside, the water park and pool are nice for younger children. Someone stole my expensive beach towels and I asked to look at security video and one clerk said "yes" then the older clerk interrupted and said "oh, we dont have a video camera in that area." Fortunately, the younger clerk hopped up to help me. I saw a man and woman on the second level walking with my towels around them and the clerk went door to door to get them back. The owners did the cleaning (at least on Saturday). We stayed 3 nights for ball tournament. When we got back to our room at 4...the room STILL had not been cleaned. So, we were there and did not want them to come in while we were trying to relax. The bathroom floor was mildewed and dirty. The hallways were DIRTY concrete (as this was an outdoor motel originally). The owners were not friendly, but that may be because they were Indian and did not speak English well. So, I cannot say they are not friendly/good people. Obviously, they were hard workers as they were TRYING to clean all of the rooms by themselves. This morning I noticed several black large bugs (beetles) about 1/4 - 1/2 long lying beneath the air conditioner unit in our room in the hall. Remember, this was an old motel; thus, the air conditioner units are not indoor type units. They have the old, under the window units with outside vent in hallway (which is "indoor" now). Consequently, in front of EVERY room is a wet condensation puddle that you have to avoid when walking to your room. The breakfast bar was terrible. The only thing worth eating was fruit. The bananas were brown and nearly ruined. It was hard to believe that they would put them out for patrons to eat. The eggs seemed to be powdered or pre-cooked, very watery and weird texture. My family and I just decided to go to a restaurant to eat, costing us more money. There are many nicer hotels within yards of this one including a Holiday Inn Express, a Hampton Inn and a Country Inn and Suites which are modern. We only stayed here because the other members of our ball team were here. Otherwise, we would have just "turned and walked away." I checked out the price of the other hotels on Expedia/Priceline etc...We could have stayed at any of the other hotels at the same rate and probably would have saved money because breakfast each morning cost us $40 daily. So, my advice is to go across the road to the other hotels. I am sitting in my room now writing this review because I dont want any other family to get into this mess. I wish I could post pictures of the bugs and filthy floors to show you why you should avoid this place.

My daughter wanted a hotel with a pool for her birthday so after some research we decided to try this hotel. I thought the kids would have fun at the water park plus I had stayed at Quality Inn hotels in the past and thought they were nice. The room rate was really good, $68 with a Farmers Insurance discount so the total after tax was $79. But, you get what you pay for. The rooms were outdated and somewhat small. The water park is not enclosed at all, it is in the actual main part of the hotel, so rooms open up to it on 2 sides. The whole interior was extremely humid from the pools, and it was really loud during pool hours (9-9). I definitely dont recommend this hotel if you need to sleep in between those hours at all. In addition to the room being outdated, the mini fridge freezer section hadnt been defrosted in so long that it even covered the knob to control the temperature. Our phone didnt work, either, but upon a staff member coming in it was found that it had been unplugged from the console. They offered to change us to another room but that room was directly across from an exterior door and that fridge freezer section needed to be defrosted as well although it wasnt as bad. The bedding in the room was definitely old. It wasnt threadbare but was definitely the thin coverlets usually found at hotels, with stains. The mattress was fair at best - I was definitely sore in the morning. Also, there is no soundproofing in the rooms so I was awakened all night long by people talking as they walked by and from other rooms doors opening and closing. The staff was very nice. We called a few times to ask questions and Julian was very polite and patient with us. The staff was all polite when we needed anything and were friendly as well, except for when we checked out. The girl checking us out asked if everything was okay and I said so-so. She just ignored what I said and continued the check-out process instead of asking me what was wrong or if she could get a manager. The water park area is very cute but VERY UNSAFE. They dont have any staff supervising the area and adults were using the kiddie area. My son got pushed back by the water and an adult coming down the slide slammed into him causing him to flip over. Im thankful he didnt get a concussion. Kids were just going down the slide one after the other and getting hurt over and over. I really cant believe they dont have a staff member supervising at least the slide (it is totally covered so people cant see if someones on it or not). Finally, my daughter got all scratched up on the bottom of her toes from the rough bottom of the pool, so she had to put bandaids on over and over and was hurting, so she didnt enjoy it nearly as much as she should have. I personally wont be visiting this hotel again. Other guests that I spoke to said that their rooms were outdated as well and that they didnt even want to shower there. Thankfully we live in Knoxville so were able to shower at home!

This hotel fell well below standards. When we first went to our room, the linens had cigarette burns, when we went up to the front desk, the lady at the front desk gave attitude about it and then asked if we would like a new one brought to our room or if we were just letting them know about the problem. When we arrived in our room the air was not turned on therefore the room was extremely hot and took some time for the room to cool down. We asked once for towels, and we were told that they had just washed all of the towels and they would bring them up once they were done, we never received any towels. The pool was great for the kids which is why we chose this hotel. However, the pool was extremely over chlorinated and was very hot and humid in the pool area, even after showering you still smelled like chlorine. The water pressure in the room was awful, and took longer for simple tasks such as showering or brushing your teeth. The free breakfast seemed to be free for a reason. The biscuits were cold and the eggs where luke warm at best. The make it yourself waffles werent very good either. The outside of the hotel is decent, but the entrance is horrible and difficult to get into. You have to cross 3 lanes of traffic if you are on the opposite side of the road from the hotel. The landscaping is a mess and the area in front of the hotel looks like a disaster. Finally, on our last night there, the hotel lost power in the middle of the night. We woke up sweating and were unable to go back to sleep because it was so hot in our room. We attempted to contact the front desk to see what was going on and we were unable to, the phone would ring once and then would go silent. I tried using my cell phone to contact the front desk and it rang once and then proceeded to go to voicemail which had not been set up. Overall I would not recommend this hotel to anyone and would never stay here again. We stayed 6/14/2016 - 6/17/2016, we are from Cedar Rapids Iowa.
