This is the first time I have ever submitted a google review, but after the experience today, I felt compelled to share. I have been a wine club member of Arrington Vineyards since 2014. As a California native, I have enjoyed having a local place to take friends and family wine tasting and support our local winemakers. In the past, the friendliness of the staff at the winery has not been what I have grown accustomed to living in the South the past twenty plus years, but the overall experience has been enjoyable. Unfortunately, my experience today at the winery was not. This was rare weekend when my husband and kids were away and I was able to spend some precious time with my mom. Due to the soaring heat, I was thankful that we were able to quickly have a place indoors for wine tasting. The lady behind the counter, Ashley, not only was rude and inattentive, but punitive and insulting to both my mom and me. Unlike the wineries I have been to out west and abroad where the superior knowledge of the sommelier affords them the right to be a bit superior, Ashley could not answer simple inquiries such as the varietal of grape in the wine she was pouring. Since we arrived early to beat the rush, the tasting room was uncrowded; however, Ashley took an extensive amount of time to pour each taste for my mom and me, for no apparent reason and with no description of the wine. We felt like we were both invisible and inconsequential. When younger patrons arrived, she virtually forgot that my mom and I were there for 20 minutes. When she did return to serve us, she made us review each wine that she had poured to ensure that an extra taste was not served. It was belittling and patronizing. Ensuring the appropriate number of wine pours per person is the server’s responsibility, not the customers. Despite Ashelys condescending behavior and near spoiling what was supposed to be a unique treat for a mother and daughter, we were able to enjoy the remaining time together at the barn listening to the Bluegrass music. I have typically purchased a case of wine each time I visit Arrington, my husband is particularly fond of the sweet wines, like the port and fruity wines. But after today, I will be cancelling my wine membership. I am glad that wine will finally be available in grocery stores in Tennessee starting July 1. Disappointed, Dr J McBee

It’s a beautiful drive to the Arrington Vineyards. It’s out in the Tennessee countryside, away from the noise and commotion of Nashville, on a narrow state highway, winding through densely forested hills. What do you do here? Uh… nothing. Well, almost nothing. There is no restaurant - most people bring a picnic lunch - no loud country band. It’s quiet… and green… and relaxing. Spread out like a big green quilt on the side of a hill, the vineyards stretch almost as far as the eye can see. Also on the hill are small groves of trees which shade picnic tables and folks sipping wine and talking to friends or taking leisurely naps on the cushy grass. I saw some friends tossing a Frisbee. At the top of the hill is the wine shop where sampling is done and bottles are sold. Miss Sherrie and I found a shaded picnic table at the top of the hill. A breeze made the hot sun more than bearable. We “people-watched” and admired the view. The hill is perfectly mowed and slopes rather steeply to the vineyards below. Before leaving, we sauntered down the hill and walked among the rows of grape vines. Each vine had many new clusters of grapes. We’ll return when the fruit ripens because we’d like to see a bit of the harvesting and wine making process. Most folks come to Nashville and rush from bar to bar and from restaurant to restaurant. If you’re here for more than two days, you’ll need some un-wind time. I think this is the place.

Ive heard nothing but good things about Arrington vineyards, I was so excited to spend a Saturday afternoon there!!! Cant say we would go back. I believe if our group (just 4) would have been a part of a reserved ahead party we probably would have had a better experience. There was a wedding, bachorlette parties, and a birthday party that all seemed to be having a blast. Unfortunately it started raining, not the end of the world. We were ready to taste some wine! Very unorganized, felt like hearded chickens in a coop. Finally a staff member let us know we could do tastings on the ground floor instead of the hour wait on the top floor. We got in line and dealt with three employees who talked amongst themselves and asked, "what do you want." when it was time to choose our tasting choice. When we asked for suggestions he pointed to the blackboard. The two girls pouring our wine didnt acknowledge us at all, in fact I asked them how they were doing... We had no idea where we were allowed to sit so we stood awkwardly by the door until we ultimately just decided to leave. Our whites as well the champagne werent chilled, and none of the red wine left a great impression on us. Would love some customer service and a smile for four wine samples at 14 dollars. It seems being that high volume business is the norm on Saturdays.. Please get a better system in place so everyone can enjoy.

This used to be a fantastic place to visit but it has progressively gotten worse over the years. The wine and atmosphere are good but long lines, parking issues, difficulty finding seating, charging for wine tastings, and staff that have no consideration for their clientele make this a difficult pill to swallow these days. I was a wine club member here for many years and they have recently taken the stance to disregard their members/the people that made the business a success. There used to be many benefits to being a wine club member but those have since gone away. Having lived in CA for many years and being a member of several wine clubs, I know how real wine clubs treat their members and this place just doesnt care. If youre visiting, there are plenty of other things to do in Nashville that will leave you less frustrated. If you live here, its periodically worth the hassle but not worth the membership as it exists.

AMAZING! I dont know what the people below were talking about, but this is a premier winery of the south. People come here expecting Napa Valley, but its a whole different type of experience. The wine is worth what you pay. It is not like most Tennessee winerys wines, with only sweet fruit wine; This place has an excellent Syrah, and a great Cabernet. The staff is extremely educated on wine and can ansswer just about every question asked. They are also very polite and are willing to do just about anything. If youre looking for a great place for a romantic night or a great night out with friends then come here! free tastings, music, and amazing wine! who needs more than that

If you like an oakey taste to your wines this is your place. It a beautiful winery, amazing views. Most popular stags white and red fox red did not stand out to me. I have been to several wineries and love wine but overall the wine is not that great. I did have the dessert raspberry and blackberry with the truffles they stood out the most at the tasting. The place was very busy and it was pouring rain, a staff person who was not that friendly came up and said they had a wine tasting list going and tried to shoo us away. Needless to say we almost left without tasting. The staff here needs to be friendlier.
