Took my daughter to a movie yesterday. A woman and her child (or grandchild?) were in front of us in line to purchase a ticket. Once inside, the woman and the boy stood at the back of the facility, near the arcade games, while looking at the concession board. My daughter and I stood in line for concessions and once the 2 groups ahead of us finished, we walked up to the counter only for this woman and her boy to step in front of us. Being that Im trying to teach my toddler etiquette and manners, and that we do not "jump" in line in front of people, I told the woman "So, youre breaking in line?" She said "I bought my ticket before you." I said "That has nothing to do with it, you stood back there, NOT in line, and just stepped up when you felt it was your turn, instead of standing in line like the rest of us?" The manager opened the concession stand on the other side and shuffled me and my daughter over there. So not only did the woman get the jump in line, WE had to walk around the stand to place an order- when SHE was the one in the wrong! The manager muttered under his breath "JESUS CHRIST" as he was taking my order. I told him "She completely jumped in front of us." and he said "She was taking her time reviewing the board, yes." So he admitted she was wrong yet WE had to move out of our way for HER bad behavior? I appreciate his willingness to "help" but I am completely flabbergasted over the fact this type of rude behavior on the behalf of patrons is not only allowed but condoned? What message does that send to that womans child, and mine? That its okay for people to just do whatever they want, regardless? She not only jumped ahead of us, but ahead of the group that amassed behind us. And for him to say "JESUS CHRIST" in a flustered manner, as if I did something wrong was just ridiculous. I dont care how cheap the theater is, WE will not be returning. THAT type of behavior wouldnt be allowed at Manchester. Whats happened to people with etiquette these days?

Since AMC took over the old Carmike theater, prices went threw the roof. Its still the same old place with the same old seats but plan on spending 10 bucks for a small popcorn and 5 bucks on a soda. Ticket prices were also raised and is no longer affordable for a night out with the kids. If youre going to spend that kind of money...go to another updated theater. You probably wont spend much more money and you will certainly get a more comfortable seat. And if by chance you brave it out like my family did, just hope you dont have to watch a movie in theater 4. You will hear popcorn popping in the background as well as someone banging dishes around. Quite entertaining when youre trying to watch a movie.

I liked the price and the specials. I did not like hearing the manager yell at the employees about opening another line. He needs to learn to talk to his employees instead talking at them. Also the employees need to show a little more respect when they visit their friends inside a theater with a movie playing. Its very rude and the Nike ball cap didnt fool anyone. We all knew you worked there dude. Your lady friends then used their cell phones to look for whatever yall droped while talking. The personal chit chat and texting while working is rude. You are getting paid to work not visit.

The theatre is very very small, and very old. The sound system was horrible and it was literally broken. The screen/ projector lacks quality and ofcourse the screen is small. I have been to an Indian movie here, the ticket price was $25 and the service i got is not even $2 worth. I do not know about other auditoriums in the cinema but for the one i went it was just horrible. Probably all indian movies would be screened there itself. So, please watch out..if you are looking for cinematic experience, dont even think about this theatre. It just makes greatest movies look horrible

Prices have all gone way up, yet the facilities are still rundown and terrible. Its kinda cool they have newer movies, but I went here a lot to get cheap movies, even if you had to wait a few months. Cost $30+ to see Transformers the other night, for the family, and part of the writing on the screen was cut off, the air conditioning didnt work, and the bathrooms were nasty. Things we looked past when it cost less than $10 for the family. Make up your mind, be a discount theater with low prices and mediocre facilities, or charge the higher prices after you fix up the joint.

Gone are the days of being able to take my kids to the movies for under $2 a ticket. With AMC taking over this location, now the prices have more than tripled and makes it not worth the time to drive there for a movie. Its a shame - we went there a LOT when it was a Carmike bargain theater, and my kids came to accept my promise of, "Wait til it comes to Carmike - then well go see it," for the movies I knew werent great, but would still be something the kids would enjoy. Very sad to see this bargain entertainment disappear.

They have definitely improved. It use to be trashy, the screen would always skip and it smelled like armpits and stale cheese. After not going for at least 2 years I went back 2 weeks ago and it must be under new management, because it was much better. They have this special for 2 tickets, 2 medium drinks and 1 large popcorn for $13.99 and you get 1 free refill on both. You cant beat that price. The smell wasnt bad either. Since then I have been back 2 more times and plan on going there again this weekend.

Who says time machines dont exist? You walk in and you are transported back to a simpler time. A time before doors were an option on the stalls of bathroom. A time before making fresh popcorn was required. A time before carpets being cleaned was necessary. A time when previews didnt exist, just silence in a creepy theater with a black screen. Hopefully with AMC now owning the theater they can shut down the time machine, and bring the experience to the 21st century.

They really screwed up by trying to become like bigger chain movie theaters. Really lost the biggest reason most people came to this theater in the first place. If I wanna pay those exorbitant prices for new releases Ill drive the extra two miles to Manchester cinemas like pretty much everyone else. Being a cheaper alternative was the only reason this theater had customers and the only reason they still have a few is people dont know the prices have changed yet.

Overall a great deal on those in between new and DVD release movies. They recently upgraded to digital projectors which have greatly enhanced the overall cinematic experience. I havent experience the stale popcorn as of yet, Im sure it depends on the time of day. The theater is older but not in disrepair. Snacks are overpriced (where is this not the case though) but they offer some realistic deals on bundling tickets, drinks, and snacks.
