I hate to write this review. My husband and I ONLY come to this theater because we love the seats, the staff, the snacks and the theater...but tonight we paid $45 total for a movie and it got completely ruined by the family next to us. A mom, dad, and their two daughters at the 11pm showing of Wonder Woman in the XL theater. The mom was on her phone the entire movie and had the brightness on her screen turned up to the brightest setting possible. Their two daughters talked, and played with the chair setting the entire movie. The mom and two daughters were not interested in the movie. My husband got up and talked with a manager, and he had a staff member give the family a warning. Well, the mom continued to stay on her phone, and the daughters continued to play with the chair, giggling because I guess they thought the chair making squeaking noises was funny, and they continued to talk as well. The dad OR mom NEVER said a word to their kids. Lately it seems like everytime we visit the theater we have some kind of issue with sitting next to the most inconsiderate people in the theater. I think maybe having staff walk up and down the stairs in each theater to possibly keep an eye on these inconsiderate people, maybe would help that situation. We love this theater and I always have positive things to say, and this review is not being negative towards to staff nor theater itself. But tonight the family sitting next really showed how rude, inconsiderate, and selfish people can be. If you dont want to see the movie, then DONT GO and ruin the movie for the people around you.

Pros - Great seats (electric reclining chair, plenty of leg room to stretch out if you dont want to use the reclining option.) - Good screen, XL screen is legit too. - Very clean theatre, hallways, seats, bathrooms, etc. Negative - Reserved seating isnt really a negative, but it can be if you dont plan ahead -- or be like me, just wait a few weeks till all the hype dies down around a film, and you will have plenty of seating options. - Concessions are horrible. To put it in perspective. Orange Parks old theatre is vastly superior to Oakleaf in this area. Hopefully they have plans on renovating this, as theres a ton of unused lobby space. - The staff are nothing but teenagers, so they dont really care if theres a bunch of assholes making noise in the theatre during a film. You will have to police this yourself, and break someones nose in the process. Want to have a nice movie experience here? Just go on an odd weekday with your family, when most people just want to stay home after work. You will have a quiet experience, plenty of seating options, and will enjoy the theatre/film. I do this every time I go here, and it never fails. Saw Wonder Woman, only 10 people in there. Saw The Mummy, only 5 people in there. Both within a week and a half after their release.

That place is a joke ! First off once you walk in everyone is so confused of what to do... They have big touch screen computers that you have to go to too purchase your tickets on. No option of talking to someone about advise on a movie or to answer any questions you have. With that being said me and my boyfriend and 2 year old went to purchase tickets on the confusing screen and there wasnt an option for a kids ticket so we didnt think we needed one. So I purchased and went to find a worker to ask them if we had to get the child a ticket since there wasnt an option . she said yes you have to pay full price for a child... Thats complete bull crap ! Every other theater kids under 2 are free. But okay and my child wouldnt even be in her own seat she will be sitting on our lap. Also this is my childs first time at the theater as well not fully sure how well it will go so I would hate to waist the extra money that shouldnt be extra in the first place. Lets just say we had the manager refund us and we left . and reading the other reviews Im glad we did Cuz we would be even more displease with the seatings

Been three times. Im one to give a place a chance before I go back to old stand by- AMC. I can say the reclining seats are comfy. Ticket price is a bit high for my budget. I have 2 teenage boys and with NO discounts offered for families it makes it hard for us to go more often. Nice upside you can pick your seat in advance-- when the website decides to work, that is. Popcorn and concession area needs IMPROVING, just saying guys! Really not impressed with not having any staff to help if you have questions or need help. No one that works there seem to really know whats going on at times. Im chucking that up to the place being new and the staff trying to get the groove of the place. If some little improvements were made I would go more, since I literally live 5 minutes away compared to 40 min. to AMC. 1. FAMILY DISCOUNTS/ MILITARY 2. IMPROVE CONCESSION AREA 3. IMPROVE ONLINE PURCHASING

The Epic Theater was a decent experience. I did like that you can reserve your specific seat when purchasing tickets from their website. I will say in the particular theater I was in there was no ventilation at all. The temperature of the room wasnt unbearable but, it was extremely stuffy and not very comfortable to sit in for hours at a time which if Im correct is the whole premise of the Epic Theater. Also, it has by far the most expensive concessions I have ever seen. They do offer things that other places do not such as alcohol and Monster Energy drinks but, youd think that you were in a third world country paying for American comforts. I believe it was over $5 for a regular sized monster, pretty absurd! The chairs themselves were pretty comfortable but not clean in the least bit. I didnt hate my experience but, I really wasnt impressed either.

Great place to go! Especially if you are needing wheelchair accessibility or are like my mom she broke her hip 9 months ago and still cannot just sit for a duration of a movie without pain or being uncomfortable. She has the ability to pick the handicap, wheelchair area seats and is able to stand next to her seat if need to. She loves the fact that she can recline her seat as needed. Thanks to Epic theater for making a nice place for my mom and I to enjoy a movie like the comforts of her own living room. We can also enjoy a snack and a little drink as well. Once again thank you EPIC theaters for thinking of the needs for people with disabilities! Sincerely, Nixsa Temple

We went an hour early to see Lego Batman with our daughter and there was only 1 theater showing it and 3 seats left - none of which were sitting next to each other and no other times to choose from. We usually go to the Carmike and made a trip out there for this, but never again. There were other people who got there to find the same thing out and were turned away - at least 3 other families as soon as we left (this was at 7pm and our movie had been out 3 weeks already, so definitely NOT an opening night). Unless you plan your seating way ahead, dont even bother going in person and definitely dont take the whole family unless you did or else youll all be disappointed.
