My boyfriend and I just visited the theater at Ocean Walk in Daytona Beach, FL and had the worst experience we have ever had. Besides the price of water being $5.00!!!! The manager or assistant manager (which ever wears a grey shirt) failed to mention to us that the air conditioning had gone down 3 hours prior to our showtime. We were drenched in sweat and couldnt even make it through half of the movie. After we left our movie early we stopped to talk to the manager/ assistant manager to ask for a refund and she just blew off our request and that is when we found out about the air conditioning previously going down, but that they had "fixed it". Even if they had fixed it, that would have given 2+ hours (plus the time we were in the theater) to have the theater cooled down before our movie started. Also, the theater itself was disgusting. It looked as if no one had cleaned the theater. The seats were all greasy or sweaty, popcorn and trash all over seats and in the cup holders, and soda under neath the arm rest that you can lift up.

This place is awful! Dont bother paying the Fandango convenience fee, you will still have to wait in the long concessions or box office line to get a paper receipt for them to rip. They also dont indicate which seats are the recliner seats in the theater. The last time we went, we thought we had reserved recliner seats, but when we got there, only half of the (sold out) theater had recliners. There isnt much of a food choice and what is offered is overpriced. I wouldnt eat there anyway because the condiments station is always scary filthy. They run out of ice and they never seem to have enough staff working. I have never encountered a ticket person that was nice. The wheelchair bathrooms dont have waste paper cans for sanitary napkins. I have seen used tampons sitting on the toilet paper holder. This theater has the potential to be a great place worth the money they charge but bad management and a lazy staff makes this a bad experience.

This is my first time in an affordable luxury theater. The staff was very pleasant and helpful. They have an area where you can sit and eat (they server Pizza from the MYPI restaurant located within the theater they also have the normal fair of hotdogs, pretzels, etc) or you can take the pizza in to the theater. The seats that we were in were excellent. They were like "man cave" seats, felt like leather (most likely not but still was nice), plus they had a pull out tray for me to place the pizza box and eat. I thought the pizza was terrific, it was soft and tasted similar to mellow mushroom pizza. Make sure you get your parking ticket validated. BTW one poster stated the bathrooms looked bad but they must have been remodeled as they were clean.

Daytona resident. Love this theater. My boyfriend and I will only see movies at this theater. Only down side is that if you lean the comfortable recliner seats too far back, or are SUPER short and leaning back, you cant see part of the screen due to the wall(meant to keep privacy for each row.) But, this place is still my favorite. MyPie(similar to pie five) is in the lobby, and the staff is super helpful. Food is delicious. Theres occasionally crazy people as it is daytona and people get drunk on lavation sometimes. But, if you make light of the situation it becomes just a fun memory to look back on. All in all, great theater, great food, great audio, super comfy seating. My #1 theater in the daytona area.

Saw pirates here in early June of 2017. Worst movie theatre I have ever been to by far. Theatre was totally trashed when I came in and if you dont reserve recliners then you are forced to sit in the front row which is awful. Also, the theatre was tiny to begin with. Probably 30 seats in the whole place. I never write reviews but this place is sorry! Please dont go here or just reserve recliners ahead of time! Ive been to this theatre every year for many years for summer vacation but this was just awful. Totally run down and needs new ownership. Hope you read this before you go!

This isnt what I was expecting at all. I was shocked that the theater at the Leesburg mall is 10× better than this theater. Everything just seemed dirty and ran down. Even the new reclining seats felt gross. Half the bathroom was out of order, most of the sinks did not work and the driers barely blow. The air conditioner was broke, and now after reading reviews on here I see its been down for more then 3 weeks. The theaters themselves are very small and seem to be outdated. I know now not to be so excited to visit this place, or Daytona at all. I am pushing it with 3 starts

I usually love this theater - the seats are awesome and comfortable. I recommend it but with a warning -- dont sit in the back three rows of the extreme screen theater. When you lean back in the lovely recliners you can only see half the screen because of a wall in front of you. Its the dumbest thing Ive ever seen. I invited four people to go with me and reserved seats beforehand. It was a little embarrassing, we had to sit forward, on the edge of our seats the whole time to see the screen. I would have requested a refund, but I didnt want to make a big deal about it.

It is really nice and cheep. Especially if you have a student ID or senior ID. You can upgrade to really nice seats for a dollar. Totally worth it. Also parking is free for 4 hours in the parking complex across the street when you get your parking ticket validated. Dont recommend seats all the way in the top because the lights on the roof are so bright it ruins it. And in the bottom, the regular seats, the chairs and the heads of the people in front of you block the screen a little.

Lights were left on until we called the theatre to come turn them off, second time this has happened. Also if you see a movie you are supposed to be comped for your parking. Got to the garage to give them the ticket and apparently they had never stamped it so on top of going to Maui Nix and spending $600 prior to seeing the movie and tickets for the show we also got hit with $6.00 parking fee, when we asked the garage attendant he basically said no stamp ...not my problem.

Hands down the best movie-watching experience in Daytona Beach with recliner seats! Reserved seating might not be a preference for some people, but it adds a whole new excitement to first come-first serve. Reserving your seats online may be slightly costly, but ensures that you can arrive on-time or even a little late and be sure to have your seat. Ocean Walk mall gives free 3 hour parking if youre visiting the movies.

Im going to mark this as an average theater, and heres why. In Florida, this is a (currently) 4.2 star theater. In the rest of the country, this is a 3-3.5 star theater...just average. Theres NOTHING fancy here and the seats are average, screens average, audio average, etc... Good thing about the visit: I almost fell asleep during the political parts of The Hobbit: Battle of the talk talk talk talk....
