Course was alright....not in the best shape. We have played Caledonia, True Blue, TPC, Legends Moorland, Myrtle Beach National, and Wicked Stick this week and the only course I liked less than this....was Wicked Stick (which says a lot...) I was EXTREMELY disappointed in the attitudes of members and workers here. The members seem to be in "we should still be a private club" denial and have an extreme "elitist" attitude. We were hit up on all day by very rude members who made us feel very unwelcome. When we mentioned it to the bag drop guys AND the pro shop workers, they shrugged it off. The bag drop guys didnt clean our clubs for us, and RAN to cater to the rude women who were playing behind us....members of course. I will not be going back there to play....there are too many other nice courses in the area who value customers and are committed to a more positive experience.

Played on Friday 4/21/17. Very difficult course which requires accurate shots on every approach (and off the tee). Pete Dye has traps and swales all over this course that you absolutely can not miss into (I think I found all of them). Forget the pins and hit to the center of every green. Im a 6.9 index and dont even want to post my score for this round! Everything was in excellent condition, greens were firm, fast, and true and the staff was very welcoming and friendly. As bad as I scored, I cant wait to come back and try to tackle this beast again.

When arriving at course to practice the night before round, the folks told us, "course was closed 3 months installing new greens, they have improved." I normally dont like bermuda greens, these rolled FASTER and just as true as bent grass greens! Theres no grain! No speedy downgrain & slow into the grain! This course is well worth the price, not alot of water or forced carries. Make sure your on you game before going here! Putting is at a premium! Will return multiple times! Should get more stars than 3!!!

Course has always been in great shape. Everyone from starters to pro shop staff are very pleasant. Only downfall that I see is I usually play as a single when visiting Myrtle Beach but they prefer to pair you with someone, however they are not pushy about it but just recommend you join up. As I am stickler for the rule book I am aware that singles have no rights on a golf course but this course you want to take the time to enjoy its beauty.

Played on 4/11/2016. Course in awful shape. Greens were a mess. Patchwork and bare spots on some greens. Sprinkler system work on holes 9 and 18 made for many bare spots. Maintenance work being done on many fairways at midday. Some greens edges had recently been pirated. Course not in good shape at all. Staff member blamed condition on heavy rains in October. Will not be playing here in the near future if ever.

Easy going staff. Great course! Challenging & odd in a PB Dye sort of way. Two tiered fairways, railroad ties, and plenty of water and sand. The pro shop has a great selection & better prices than the big box golf shops. Played there a year ago, played 36 holes today, and will play again for sure.

Disappointed. Had wanted to play here for years. Fairways and areas around the greens not is the best shape. Very difficult for the average player typical for Dye courses. Would not play again with other better courses so close.

Had a great time with the guys. Pleasantly surprised, having never played this one before. There was some work being done coming up on the 6th hole but apart from that the course was in good shape and nice to play in.

Outstanding back nine with some very cool holes. Front had a couple neat holes but also a couple holes that were like a "munie course. Greens are very undulating and fast.

Clubhouse and staff were wonderful. Only thing I was disappointed in was the condition of this course. Would love for it to become the tip tier course Im sure it can be!

Excellent course. Green complexes very challenging. Diabolical even. Condition very good. Better players will appreciate this course. Underrated in my opinion.

True links style course. I am local and have played nearly every course. This is a long course and you must place the ball. Moderate priced. Great course!!!

Im a Pete Dye fan, but this is one of his gems. Truly a Dye Design. The 9th and 18th are great right at the clubhouse. Pete Dye is the god of golf design.

Fun course, very nice, tough greens. They booked too many tee times at once so the round took close to 6 hours, kind of ruined the whole experience
