One of the best courses Ive played in Pawleys Island. These greens were similar to upscale courses in speed and difficulty up north! The tee shots are not overly difficult but challenging. Fairways and rough are good. If you can putt well here you can putt well anywhere. I like everything about this club. Especially the view throughout the 18 holes. On another note. I used my golf buddy GPS and clipped it to the plastic frame on the upper portion of the cart. In New York Ive left this GPS on the cart twice in the last two months. And both times the staff returned it to the Pro desk. I called and they said, we have it " come and get it" However, I left it again ( shame on me, i probably deserve to lose it ) on the cart at Founders. This time I wasnt so lucky. I called to see about it only one hour after play. Gone for good. I expected it in NY, but not south in Pawleys Island. The good news. I downloaded the Swing by Swing golf app. I no longer need an expensive GPS gadget. Try the course. Youll like it. Dont bring your GPS

Would not return. Played it 5 times. This year 2013 April the worst and our last - to a man.. All 6 golfers from Toronto found it a negative. We normally score 92-110 on a TPC course. We spent most of our time in the massive expanse of waste bunkers. Unfair design. Stupid actually, unless you have a 2 handicap. Then you might like it? Hard to avoid the waste bunkers. When on the fairway the grass was hard. Chipping from surfaces we did not recognize. Greens did not hold - dry, lean. Recommendation - avoid, Consider: Caledonia, Heritage, The Witch ( great course)

A Private User

The layout a bit odd -- but there are several very good holes -- mostly on back nine -- 10, 12, 15 and 16 -- with a few years of maturing and better conditioning, this could become a nice lower cost option to the more expensive layouts in the south Grand Strand, like Pawleys Plantation, Caledonia and True Blue. Serious golfers will be disappointed. Casual players will enjoy the course. Staff very friendly and accomodating.

Ive played this course a couple of times and liked it very much. For those complaining about the course layout and having a difficult time scoring their average need to go play miniature golf. Its a golf course. Its supposed to be challenging. The golf course cant help that you consistently suck and shoot 100s.

Awful. Horrible layout. Nothing you can do to stay out of the waste bunkers. Hit a beauty right down the gut and the ball just rolls and rolls til it finds a waste bunker. Will never return

Starter had an attitude and got off 20 min late. A little over priced . No place on cart for divot repair sand jar. Not many trash cans. Had an older cart.

The Founders Club has and amazing, unique layout. Though I never find myself in the waste bunkers, it makes the course challenging. All in all, fun course.

Spend 10 more bucks and play somewhere else. Course isnt bad, but you can find a much better course in this area. Yardage is not well marked.
