We played Palmetto course as our last round of a four round trip, it was a perfect ending. First off the wind was 25 mph gusts while we were warming up so we expected bad things. After the wind died down but still breezy due to the intracoastal, the course played very fair. Tees, fairways, traps, and greens were immaculate! Ive played many five star courses and payed over $100 for them from Sawgrass, Copperhead, World woods, Southern hills and these conditions are comparable yet more playable for the amateur. Staff was great, especially the cart/bagman. He was very helpful and organized in his area of expertise which he said hes been doing for many years. I would like to say that playing this course up will be short but require you to use every club in your bag. We played from the gold 6000 yds and I used 5 iron off the tee on two par 4s due to the short dog-legs. In closing, I enjoyed this course more than any other on the strand and cant wait to play it again next year.

Played 2 rounds there this week Monday and Tuesday nice course very rude staff. The man at the counter could not assist in purchasing a pair of shoes nor answer the phone saying he had a clubhouse full of players? There where 5 including myself that was Monday. Tuesday my friend and I were playing with a great couple from Philly, playing the front 9 in 2 hrs we made the turn with no one behind us. We were approched after our tee shot on 10 by a gentelman saying we needing to pick up pace, even though he said there was no one behind us. The reason for need to rush so his ground crew could cut the grass! In fact his words were if you dont hurry they will run you over! I know they have had rain and the course need to kept up, but I checked my ticket and there was no discount, and we were not holding up any other golfers and keeping pace of play. No excuse for this. Played here this week. Overall a decent course. I too noticed the rudeness of the staff, especially outside of the clubhouse. They were very aggressive about wanting to handle your clubs getting out of the car and placing them on the carts. One person in our group wanted to handle his own and one of the guys made a sarcastic comment. By way this very same thing happened two years ago at this course. The cost this week was too high in my opinion for a weekday morning and for the quality of the course. We encountered ground staff that failed to yield right of way to our group while trying to hit shots. The last complaint concerned the unavailability of the snack bar near the 5th hole and another hole on the backside. Too many courses in the area that are better, cheaper, a with friendlier staff. Not sure I will return to play this venue.

The course and greens were nice. Will never return due to the cocky attitude of the younger pro working in the clubhouse. Very condescending. The staff I encountered were also rude with the exception of my starter who seemed to be friendly and accommodating. This is not a friendly place at all. I overheard the cart guys complaing about where I parked my cart after I finished. Also I was looking to buy a ahirt and some balls for my son and nobody even cared or asked if I needed helped. I play a lot of golf around the country and who ever is in charge here needs to wake up. Definitely a bad vibe at this place. Its a shame because the course is nice but there are many other options in Myrtle.

My friend and I booked this course thinking it would be an affordable round on a nice course. We played in the afternoon for $25 per person which included the round and cart fee. Good deal right? WRONG! If you do not have your own set of clubs they sock you with a $40 fee and a $1700 replacement fee if any club was missing or damaged. Along with that the driving range was $10 for a small bucket, no water stations along the course and tees were not included. They overbooked the course making it backed up and extremely slow with people waiting at every hole. If this seems like an affordable course do not be fooled, it will cost you!

Myrtlewood Palmetto is what we played. Weve played the other course, Pinehills and we liked Palmetto much better. Fun, pretty greens were in great shape along with the fairways. Limited bathrooms and there are some houses along the course, but they are not everywhere. There is a central spot in the crossroads of the course that has hot dogs, sandwiches, beer, & bathrooms. You finish along the intercoastal which is quite scenic. Cooler rules are loose depending on which day it is, be prepared either way.

Myrtlewood is a beautiful and well maintained golf course. My experience with the staff was absolutely horrible. They were mowing the greens on every hole we were hitting and refused to move to let us through. When we were dropping off our carts and bags we loaded the cars ourself and as we were getting into the cars one of the cart attendants took some change and threw it at us and our cars. We felt extremely disrespected and will never return or recommend this course to anyone.

Staff was extremely rude! Came with 5 guys to play for a bachelor party outing and asked if we could play together unfortunately it was against policy but the front desk staff was extremely rude about it and said we would be kicked off the course. Marshal even came around and insulted one of our golfers. Cart girl gave us ice which had dirt all in it so we couldnt even drink our drinks. Food was sub par as well. Overall bad experience would never visit again.

First time playing at this course, will come back again. Enjoyed the Pines Hills 18, very playable - a confidence-booster. I found the staff to be pleasant & helpful. Came by myself & rented clubs which were brand new Taylor Made, two sleeves of balls included. No tee time, no wait. No one in front of me or behind me, it was so nice. The course was maintained very well however some of the greens were bumpy and dried out, something they need to fix.

Played the Palmetto course. Course was in much better shape than 5 years ago when I played there last. Wide fairways and very playable. Pins were near the green edges on most holes. Some were ridiculous. You do not come back to the clubhouse at the turn but there is a halfway house selling food and drinks that you pass by on the front and back 9s. Overall good value course. Id rate a 7 out of 10.

1. Staff not so friendly. 2. Coolers not allowed on Myrtlewood or Pine Hills courses. Not even on the hottest days. 3. Maintenance crews dont turn off equipment during either T shot or shot post T shot. #Really? 4. Maintenance crews not very friendly. Got yelled at for very minor golf cart infraction, and was treated like a 4 year old. 5. I guess all staff were having a bad day... on the same day.
