The package deals at Legends are a great deal and hard to beat around the area. The problem is that they pack people on the golf course like they are trying to cram you into an airplane. Tee times are stacked every 8 minutes all day, and theyll often times send people off of #10 and #1 so it just backs things up further. This is the 3rd year here and I dont think we have had a round under 5 1/2 hours and closer to 6 hours is the norm. In the summer months when its 95 degrees by 9AM this is just miserable. I would suggest skipping Heritage and Oyster Bay. Both are over a 45 minute drive and they will rush you from the minute you arrive to tee off and get going. Oyster Bay used to be one of my favorite courses here in Myrtle Beach, but since the Legends took it over it has become a 6 hour round of golf minimum with three groups stacked up on every hole. The course maintenance has also fallen behind since Legends took over, with several tee boxes placed in the middle of the fairway. This has been an ongoing issue for the last two years so I think we will leave Oyster Bay off the list next year. The clubhouse and course amenities at Oyster Bay havent been updated in over 10 years and it shows. The accommodations are pretty nice for the money, normally a two bedroom condo with four twin beds or a nicer villa with three bedrooms and larger beds. All the accommodations have a full size kitchen and laundry units, so you can bring your own food and drinks. Another reason playing the 3 Legends courses at the facility is the smartest bet, even though the golf rounds are a death march and you cant expect to play too well, everything is here and breakfast and lunch are provided with the package, along with a free alcoholic beverage at the pub each night.

Course is good shape. Staff was friendly. The rooms are not very clean. Good luck trying to get tee time refund. We got a run around. My wife and I booked through them online. Good deal. Well you get what you pay for. If we were just going to drink and play golf room would have been fine, because you would be too drunk to smell room or see bugs around edges of carpet. We even had food left in freezer for us, how nice. The front desk did refund room rate but said pro shop had to do golf. We found a much nicer place to stay and returned next day. Went to pro shop and they said front desk. No one at desk so we played round. Nice course. Then went to desk. They said pro shop. Pro shop said that was resort reservations upstairs and they were gone. Seems the resort is a bunch of smaller businesses? So the net is never stay here. Staff was very friendly and only reason for a star. You may have better luck so I hope you do. Play here bit do not stay unless you like extra guests.

I am writing this review leaving the parking lot. Customer service is a nightmare. First get there and you are asked your team time. No hello or anything. Then you go inside to pay and no one could be bothered to say hello or can I help you or anything like that. Breakfast was horrible. Pre cooked bacon from PFG, sugars on the table were stale. The course was in beautiful shape but this doesnt make up for anything. Starter staff yelled at us because we were two minutes late and said it was going to mess up their entire schedule. We hit our first shots into the back of the group in front of us and waited 15 minutes at each hole. Very pour communication skills. If I wanted the attitude I would of stayed in Westchester for vacation. I have played world tours right down the road for 8 years in a row and Im currently leaving here to see if the nice people there could squeeze me out this afternoon.

Really really really horrible customer service. I was given a cart. It ran out of batteries so they gave me a new one. In the process I forgot my lunch ticket so I ranback to the cart area and the cart guy told me I was lucky he didnt just throw out put. Included in the $135 green fee breakfast was included. Our tee time was at 12:30 and we arrived at 10:30. The dining director told us they werent serving breakfast after 10. I asked where was this stated and she said the website.I pulled up the website and it wasnt on there. The golf course we played was parkland and it was really nice. Whoever is responsible for customers service needs to be fired. Id recommend not golfing here. We played at Witch for $55and it was better.dont need to spend so much money at Myrtle Beach to golf

Go to Myrtle with a group in late January. They pick the e time but weve been lucky except for last year. Weve stayed at a number of places but the Legends has provided the biggest bang for the buck. Their package includes the three onsite course which are quite challenging and among the best in the area. They also include in their package Oyster Bay and Heritage in Pawleys Island. Oyster Bay isnt worth the drive but the Heritage is a gem. When you play their courses with the golf package the replays are free as is the on site practice facility. They throw in breakfast, lunch and a drink. A golf nut saves a bundle just on replay fees. Many in our group are exhausted after a hard 18 in a cart no less, but for those with golf fever, this is the place for you.

Restaurant staff was great, food was good. All other staff (Pro Shop, condo check-in, cart staging area, and Starters) need some lessons on customer service. One starter (I think he was a retired police officer) was the only person out of this group who had any idea about friendly service. The rest of them treated us like they were doing us a favor by allowing us to play their golf courses. A word of warning, when you go into the Pro Shop to check in, make sure you go to the correct register. One of the staff about bit our heads off because we didnt go to the correct place. Golf courses were great. Well maintained and a challenge. Moorland is very tough and if you dont like to play P.B. Dye designs, then stay clear from that one.

Decent golf for the price. Courses are in nice shape. Grass is different from the Midwest. Nothing to really do next to the resort if you are here for four days like we were. Absolutely horrendous service at the club house. No drink cart on the course for three days that I was here. They are extremely understaffed at the GC. I felt like I was interrupting and inconvienceing the staff every time I had to get up from my table to order food or a drink...their attritude is not of a professional place of business...I thought we were going to have to make our own food at one point. If you are going eat - go to the Aisle Bar that is about 2 blocks from the course.

Just got back from a bachelor party/golf trip here with 12 guys. Early tee times played average of five hour rounds every day. Staff was phenomenal across the board. Great service. Head pro Matt remembered my name every morning, starters congratulated me and wished me luck with the wedding at the start of every round. Moorland ate our lunch, definitely target golf. Heathland was easier of the three. Unreal value at 285$ for four nights and four rounds plus meals and drinks. Had an entire 3 room condo to ourselves that were very comfou. Even gave us coupons for discount on golf shirt in pro shop. Will definitely be back!!
