This was a wonderful local place to purchase sea food. The selection of fresh caught fish was great but one thing stood out more than others. The offering of lion fish, a native of south east Asia that has invaded the eastern shores of the USA. In terms of taste though the fish is excellent, it is a light flaky fish with great taste. Though the cost might be higher than common fish such as grouper or flounder dont be afraid. It is caught by skilled spear fisherman targeting this species versus a large net or long line. I hope to see this market continue to offer this species of fish as well as helping local restaurants endorse their need to fight this invasive species. But above all it was an excellent fish to eat sold by knowledgable fisherman wanting to carry on the ability to support sustainable local fisheries.

I went here based on Yelp reviews. The fish looked fresh and the grouper we got was pretty good. I had never been to Murrells Inlet before, and was hoping we would find some crab meat while there. I can never find local crab meat here in CHarleston, SC. I asked the guy working where the crab meat was from and he told me North Carolina. Not true. It was from Massachusetts or somewhere way up north and was not good. If he had told me that, I wouldnt have bought it. Guess I should have checked behind him as well. Wont be returning.

My son is a Marine in Ft. Leonardwood Mo. teaching, he loves oysters and cant get them in Mo. I called and spoke with Chris and he shipped out a bushel to my son. When my son got the oysters they were so fresh till the crabs in the oysters were still alive. I have one happy Marine thanks to Chris and his employees. I have always bought all my seafood from Seven Seas Seafood, and now I know who to go to to do shipping. I cant say thank you enough.

Im 30 minutes away in Georgetown and pass 5-6 other seafood markets just to get to them. The ONLY way to eat seafood is fresh off the boat, not ONCE have I had anything that wasnt just that. Do yourself a favor and stop by sometime and look at the pictures on the wall. Youll quickly see the history and sheer dedication theyve dedicated their lives to. Also, I suggest grabbing some of their Remoulade sauce that pairs great with their crab cakes!

Got our 4th of July dinner from here. The staff was extremely friendly. We were greeted by 4 different people just on the way in and up to the counter. The gentleman that waited on us was very helpful and friendly. We bought some red snapper and shrimp to cook on the grill and it was some of the best seafood Ive ever had. Will definitly be returning.

We wanted fresh local shrimp and they had it. There was shell-on local shrimp, or peeled & deveined shrimp from North Carolina. We bought two pounds of the peeled and it was excellent. Boiled half of it and ate it cold with cocktail sauce, coated the other half with seasoned panko crumbs and sauteed it. Both ways were delicious.
