This is where the locals have been coming for years. The skating is free and rentals for skates are $3. One of the few successful public gathering spots in Buffalo, its a fine example of a people friendly urban space. The decorations and music during the Christmas season tie it all together and gives your spirit a boost. The train drops you off right in front as well.

Cant beat a free rink (skates rental available for a small fee). This place at night during the holiday season is stunning with all the beautiful lights.

Rotary Rink is much less crowded than Canalside, free to skate, and cheap rentals. There are coffee, hot chocolate, and some warm food options inside.

This rink is awesome, so glad its downtown. Its beautiful and an awesome hangout year round, but especially fun in the winter.
