My review is going to be about "Broadway Visitors Information" center. Me, my fiance and my friends (married couple with 12-year old kid) just had a horrible experience there. First of all, we didnt even wanted to go inside, we were just standing next to the rails and feeding those giant carps and ducks, when we heard a lady trying to get our attention from the door of this "Information" center. She was inviting us to the Hampton inn with free lunch offer and "100 bucks on top of it" (Im going to use the same words and phrases that she was using). I turned around, smiled and told her that we are here just for quick walk around and its our last day at Myrtle Beach because our vacation is over. I could just said something like "no, thank you" but I was trying to be more gentle to her. Well, it didnt work at all - she came closer and repeated the same phrases about "Hampton, free lunch and 100 bucks" - and I thought she just didnt catch my accent (English is not my native language, but in general I dont have any issues with other people understanding me, I live and work in US for almost 6 years) so I said "No, thank you, we are not interested" and smiled politely. I dont know what happened after that in her mind, but she started backing up and mumbling something like "oh, you dont want 100 bucks and free lunch, whatever, mumble-mumble-mumble, there are enough people who will want this great offer, mumble-mumble-mumble...". That was the point , when my fiance and my friends looked at me and told me "..that doesnt look very professional, she is being rude now... ". Immediately after that she run! to us, looked at my fiance and said "Did you just call me a b***h?!?!" . Least to say we were shocked. Least to say. I mentioned before we had a 12-year old kid with us, so we would never say something like that in front of any kid (Im not mentioning the fact we have been raised the way to treat people respectfully and the way we want to be treated) . This was enough for me, I asked her (her name was Debbie, as I found out later) to go inside with me and talk to her manager (same time she was yelling at me and saying things like "Im going to call security right now"). With all this circus going on I finally got to the "manager" (didnt catch her name, unfortunately ) - her response was very plain and quick "I didnt see the conflict. I dont know what happened. I apologize for inconvenience. You should go and have fun instead of arguing with us here. Have a nice day." Same time Debbie was standing behind her back and smiling at me (no word been said to her by a "manager"). Such a great job from this guys! And they call themselves "customer service representatives". I insisted on talking to the "owner" or ""GM" of this little hole. Lady came up to me (Kathy, I think, I didnt memorize her last name ), introduced herself as an "owner" of this place. She listened to my story (same time Debbie tried to interrupt me, but Kathy sent her to the back of the store and basically told her to keep her mouth shut) and apologized to me in the way hospitality business owner supposed to do. When I was leaving, I briefly talked to the other employees about Debbie and they basically confirmed that it is her normal behavior. I dont know how the person like that can hold a position at any hospitality site... I wouldnt hire her as janitor. Rest of the complex was nice, but initial impression been ruined by disrespectful, rude and uneducated employees of the "Visitor center". The company I work for does a lot of business in Myrtle Beach and the area (we do IT for restaraunts and grocery stores all across US) including places like New York Prime, Carolina Roadhouse, Burro Loco, etc. Ill make sure that we will warn our customers to stay away from this "Visitor center". Ill post the same review on Trip Advisor and Facebook, if anyone from the upper management of "Broadway at the Beach" would like to contact me, please leave your contact info in the comments. Stay away from "Broadway Visitors Information" center.

Ill start off with this: Get rid of those scam timeshare spots that disguises themselves as guest services offices. People, avoid that "ask me how we can get you 2 for $20 attractions!" BS. Search for the consumer affairs site with the hotel they represent. Unless you really dont mind sitting through them for the free or discounted stuff. Keep in mind, they dont tell you they run a credit check. Deny allowing them to run one. We denied it because it is a hard check and told the guy upfront we werent interested in the gimmick, because $$$ and we do our research. Poor guys energy vividly changed, but he still had a job to do, though he wasnt as excited anymore. If you sign up for a membership, be prepared to possibly never getting rid of it, or selling it at a huge loss. AVOID. Some reviews stated allowing the credit check, leaving, and finding a HUGE charge to their PayPal account later they did not authorize. Our two kids (one toddler, one baby) were losing their minds and the sales people (we were approached by two other sales people to try and seal the deal, masking it as people just trying to close us out) just kept on and wouldnt take a hint. We were told the presentation would be 2 hours, MAX. We were there for 4. Review gets one star knocked off for allowing this terrible company have a spot in their outlet to attempt to trap well-meaning people. Other than the scam game, the broadway was a lot of fun and really enjoyable! We enjoyed the different ride areas and the many shops and restaurants. The kids working the kid ride areas could use some sunshine in their lives as they all looked "thrilled" to be there, minus another star, because no one greeted us with a "have fun!" attitude, but our kid enjoyed herself nonetheless. Very clean and I felt very safe at this place. Good layout to keep you interested in what else you can see. The boat driver is crazy talented - wish we took a ride! He can be found by the aquarium.

Was at Broadway at the Beach twice this week while vacationing in Myrtle Beach. I really enjoyed this place. Would of been much better if it had not been soooooo hot! So much to see and do...in 2 trips we still did not see all. We went to the Aquarium on a seperate visit. It was amazing and the jellyfish were probably my favorite thing there. You can walk across the lake by means of a boardwalk. You can view the speedboats giving people amazing fast rides. From this boardwalk you can also spend a quarter and get food and feed the many fish that come to the surface with their mouths wide open like they are starving. These fish are huge and look like carp. Next time I am going to take a loaf of bread and give them something real to eat. The night before coming home we went to pick up some last minute treats from the Fudgery and decided to get Dinner at one of the many restaurants that are there called Sweet Carolina. This is a BBQ restaurant and the food is amazing. Big menu selections. The biggest problem I saw with Broadway at the Beach was parking and being crowded. You basically got to keep circulating the huge parking lot waiting for someone to leave. The overcrowding at this place is amazing.
