Yes, the production was good. However, customer service was horrible; actually let me rephrase that, customer service for my boy friend and I was horrible. Immediately when we entered the building, I knew our night inside that building was going to be a bad experience, and initially it was all the stares from many of the customers there; maybe it was because we were a little younger then the average person there 24 &28 or maybe because we were the ONLY colored people there (or rather my boy friend-who is black) either way that wasnt our problem. People have the right to look at or think whatever they want. It wasnt a real problem until we had our encounters with the employees there. Not just once were we overlooked or quickly dismissed but 3 times (which were all our encounters). First encounter: scanning in our tickets; there was a group of people in front of us and the ticket scanner nicely showed them which direction they should go to quickly get to their seats. So of course I was glad to see that since this was our first time there and I had no idea which way we should go. So when we were next the older man with no eye contact or smile quickly scanned our tickets and moved on to those behind us, but of course I didnt know where to go so I nicely asked him where? In which he quickly gave me an answer of "go the right and you should find your seats somewhere over there". Thankfully our common sense lead the way. Second encounter, meeting the greeters with the program pamphlets: the older man and lady were graciously giving programs to the people in front of us. However when we stepped by no pamphlet was given to us and quickly to avoid the awkwardness of the older man who clearly did not care who we were, I asked the lady if she could quickly just point to the direction to get to our seats the quickest (the place was small I didnt really have to ask but it was my first time there and I was already bothered by the reactions my bf was getting) she kindly pointed the way and she then realized we never got programs. So we waited on the sideline as she asked the elderly man for a program but he ignored her and so instead she reached behind a couple of chairs where other programs were and gave us just one--to me, not to my bf who she never acknowledged at all and every one was getting a program not just one per group. Third encounter, leaving the theater: elderly man with the programs was doing a great job wishing people a good evening until of course we passed by and no acknowledgment was made. I -not my bf --bought the tickets online so who knows how that would have gone. And one last encounter that took place there that night worth mentioning which did not have to do with the staff(I mention it so people can really see that racism in the south still exists its not just some grudge African-Americans have. It still exists and depending on the area it is in higher doses then others, and its truly disgusting.) So when we sat in our seats--I lead the way, 4 elderly people stood right next to my boy friend and just stared at him while we were seated. I thought maybe they were trying to get thru so I made some Room. But they werent passing by us they just stared and said NOTHING for literally 5 sec which is a long time honestly. So I was like well maybe I sat us in the wrong seats, looked at my tickets and yep I sat us in the wrong seats. So I nicely said "oh were sorry I thought these were our seats but I was wrong", but they did not say one word to us and no expression. It was as though we were invisible. Needless to say I hope colored people bombard this theater and enjoy a pretty good production and make all the racists uncomfortable! :)

We have enjoyed every Centre Stage production covering the 21 years we have been in Greenville. The shows are entertaining and sometimes thought provoking, especially the Fringe series. I am surprised at the versatility of some of the performers. They have a range of acting ability from musical, to drama to comedy. The reasonable price for a season ticket is also a plus. Sometimes the subject matter is quite edgy and that is refreshing. Keep up the good work. Donna Perlstein

Centre Stage is a wonderful venue to see a show. All the seats are great, not a bad location in the place. Small and intimate. I love looking at the set designs which you can do in a small venue. The actors are all wonderful, what a great talent Greenville has. Staff is friendly and helpful. The price of the shows are affordable for everyone. We try and see almost every play they perform. A gem in downtown Greenville, SC

Centre Stage offers the most theatre choices in Greenville! Not only do they have the Main Stage shows with great Broadway musicals, Christmas shows and comedies, they also have the cutting-edge Fringe Series with gritty dramas on Tuesday and Wednesday nights! Featuring the best of local talent at a beautiful and intimate theater downtown, Centre Stage is not to be missed!

I have seen many Broadway Shows when I was in NY and the acting and set design at Center Stage are just as wonderful - PLUS you can actually see from every seat and afford the tickets! A must do event! We travel 3.5 hours one way to go there and it is totally worth the drive! Keep it up Center Stage!

We were close enough to see the performers, and their facial expressions. Absolutely marvelous. We found out about it from a Senior magazine, we definitely want to go back. Performers were dressed modestly, and the language met the highest standards. I wish I had brought some of our grandchildren.

Centre stage is my favorite Theatre. Small, intimate setting; great actors and great shows. The content of the shows varies and makes it interesting to go. Also, cost of admittance is reasonable as well as the refreshment selection during intermission.
