I spent 14 hours at the Peace Center for my two daughters dance competition. We do 5 competitions a year and this is the 8th year so this is old hat. The Peace Center is a beautiful facility ... a wonderful place to stay for 14 hours when you have to be there that long. And the layout backstage is wonderful as there are lots of dancers and props that must share the space. As much as I loved the facility ... I was left with the memory of the staff. A group of older folks who seemed to be on every corner and every row. And my experience was hearing them "bark" rules at everyone as they walked through the halls. I understand and completely agree with rules, but having those rules commanded in a rude voice vs. delivered in a positive tone spoils the result. I was backstage most of the second half of the day handling props and the lady back in that area spent most of her timing yelling at kids and glaring at me. It is sad that such a great facility could be so easily spoiled. Personally, I do not plan to visit the Peace Center again.

We recently had my daughters wedding reception at the Huguenot Loft and just wanted to pass along our comments on the facility and staff. The setting was absolutely perfect for the size and tone of the wedding. The location downtown next to the Reedy River was a great crowd pleaser , especially with our out of town visitors who were quite impressed. The rooms were more than adequate for the 250 people that attended as we used both rooms - one for the cocktail hour and one for the actual reception. Bethany was a great help with lining up our room arrangements and use. She was especially helpful in accommodating our cleanup and rental returns. All in all we have only had people say good things about the affair and just wanted to say thanks to all those involved at the facility who helped make it a perfect day.

I have had season tickets to the Peace Center shows since I have lived in Greenville, and it is well worth the ticket price. Well, my season tickets are literally in the back row in the balcony so its the cheapest option... still think its worth it even with the bad seats. I suggest binoculars or to at least not forget your glasses if you need them. I have heard the acoustics on the bottom floor are awful, but this has never been a problem for me (again, my seats are way the f back there). I have never been disappointed in the show quality. They allow you to change your ticket date if needed, so you dont have to worry about if you cant make a particular show date.

Box Office Hours are 10am-6pm Mon-Fri and 10am-2pm Sat. Unless there is a show, then the box office will be open until intermission of the latest performance. The Peace Center brings high quality entertainment to the Upstate, ranging from small maverick artists, to lecture series, to nationally recognized entertainers, and national tours of Broadway caliber plays. The Broadway series brings the best of NYC to SC. The facility itself is one of the loveliest and best appointed in the region. The Peace Center also houses the Greenville Symphony, which is arguably the best in the state!

Been to many events here - beautiful facility. Thank you for providing a wonderful outdoor stage as well. Please consider using the lighting and sound system for ALL events that take place there, like the Reedy River Concert Series. If all bands could use that system, it would make a better impression on the visitors! No need to bring out a high end console - let the bands bring their mixers and monitors, and they provide you with the mix to your inputs.... Just a thought! Hot As A Pepper appreciated the use of the full system at Fall For Greenville! Thanks!

The venue itself was nice. Got really thirsty during the show and wanted water but the only thing available was the water fountains, because the bar had closed. Then tried to step outside for a breath of air and was told I coukdnt leave or wouldnt be allowed back in. And while some of the staff were nice and helpful, I was approached 3 times by a particular staff member because she thought I was recording the show, eventhough I wasnt .... It was very interrupting and annoying. There should be a better system in place for monitoring that kind of stuff.

I cant say enough nice things about this venue. The exterior of the building is amazing especially with the river behind it. The front lobby is very spacious and modern looking. There is a bar as well as access to a restaurant. The staff are extremely helpful in finding your seat and where to go. I have been to a number of shows and have sat in both the lowest level on the floor as well as in one of the private side boxes. The view from both was fantastic and the acoustics were impressive. You cant go wrong with a show here.

Beautiful facility, especially the dancing angel in the lobby. I couldnt take my eyes off of it. My only criticism is that we arrived early for the evening show, and were meeting friends at the front. After 2 1/2 hours on the road, I needed a pit stop. Even though I had tickets for a later show, the ushers WOULD NOT let me run in to the bathroom for a quick stop. There was NO ONE else in the lobby, so it wasnt like I would be inconveniencing anyone. Sometimes you have to let humanity overrule bureacracy.

On Saturday, June 13, we went to see the Jersey Boys at the Peace Center. It was the fourth time that we had seen Jersey Boys. Previously, we had seen it twice at the Fox in Atlanta, and once at the Belk Theater in Charlotte. The Peace Center absolutely blew them away. The acoustics were much better, and the visibility afforded by the design of the seating was great! The Peace Center is truly a pearl of which the Greenville area should be chest-puffing proud. We will return for future shows.

Beautiful theatre located in the center of a beautiful city. Greenevilles premiere theatre location pulled us in all the way from Asheville NC to catch an array of traveling Broadway experiences. We loved it so much, we joined their membership program and bought season passes! After each show, we walk to have dinner at a bountiful selection of restaurants that always delight. My wife and I HIGHLY recommend The Peace Center.

Ill try to keep comments to the facility itself and not the performance. Wonderful theatre (Lion King), but awkward pinch points at the doors into the theatre and bathrooms. I dont recommend sitting in the last orchestra row as the floor slope flattens out so youre stuck with the back of someones head in your view. If the sound board is on your row you also have a one way in/out to your seat.

Upon entry it was not clearly identified what door I had to walk thru for will call tickets. Got inside the main entrance to be told to go" back outside" and walk around to the other door vs. being guided by someone straight to will call!?!? I was not asked to see my tix either upon entry once picked up. Found my way to my own seat. Not enough people guiding the large crowd.
