Last weekend my husband and I decided to go for our anniversary to the comedy club. I ordered the tickets and we went to the theater. Well, because of the construction we walked around the corner, about a block to the place they were holding the comedy club until construction was done. No big deal. When we got our tickets though, I was disappointed because we got balcony, against the wall. There were tables along the balcony and we couldnt really see the comedians. So we figured we would go again the next weekend and get those table seats and have another night out. We were excited and got the best table in the middle of the balcony and had the best waitress.Everything was going great UNTIL we seen how people who picked the wall seat, got offered a table off the balcony , twice. AND then at intermission, came a group of 10 kids who were loud and obnoxious and took those empty seats at the wall of the balcony. They were drinking and running around and loud. They were so ridiculous my husband and I left. On our way out I asked our waitress if they just give seats away at intermission and she replied : No those are interns they get comp tickets. And I told her, we were leaving because they were ridiculous... PLUS friends of theirs before intermission who had wall seats were towering over other guests and were loud and rude and I could see the people who paid for tickets for those tables were getting annoyed. The waitress asked some John guy to ask those kids to be quiet and I got into the elevator. That same guy got into the elevator with me and did not say a word. Needless to say, We WILL NOT be going back.

FST offers a substantial array of theater presentations, almost always with excellent results and at very reasonable costs. The Gompertz theater is a cozy moderate size facility with good site lines from almost every seat. The theater restaurant offers a snack or dinner before the performance. Tickets are available for individual performances or you can book a season subscription at a discount. FST is a community gem and is much beloved by Sarasota residents.

The show and the service were excellent, but when I asked for the Lobster Bisque to be reheated, instead of reheating, they brought a new bowl of lukewarm Lobster Bisque. They took it off the bill, but the lack of addressing a patrons legitimate concern was disappointing. It was delicious, but not hot enough to pass health department requirements. I would have preferred to make these comments privately, but there is no "contact" link on their page.

I ordered tickets by phone and paid $63. I called back the next day because I had to change the date. THEN and only then I was told my tickets were non-refundable and non-exchangeable. I have no idea if the theater is good. I wont be going. They claim to have the largest subscription base of any theater in the state. I guess thats why they dont need to provide decent customer service.

Complex of three pretty theaters. Keating Theaters Clever Little Lies was better acted than the NY production I saw with Marlo Thomas. Better chemistry among the 4 actors. Jokes were funnier. Plotore believable. And the guy who was supposed to be working out 4x/week - looked the part! Bravo to all here!!!

I thought the presentation of four young men was outstanding. They captured the sounds, feelings and tempo of the music of that era perfectly. Their voices blended well and it all made for a very enjoyable and memory filled evening. Thanks for such wonderful shows. Mary Davidson Sarasota

I had the privilege of seeing a rehearsal for FSTs upcoming play, "Clever Little Lies." The acting is strong and theres not a dull moment. This play has adult themes with some off-color language, but theres a sweetness to it. Highly recommend. I have yet to be disappointed by FST!

Perfect place for perfect dance. The studio owner Miss Jamie David is such a normal well rounded genuinely nice person and will do anything to help grow the love of the art and nourish the soul of our precious cargo. We will be staying put.

Love the FST. Weve had subscriptions for years and all the mainstage productions are well done, well acted and well staged. Many of the plays have contemporary meaning and the FST often has public forums to discuss many of the plays.

Small but cozy theater. Comfortable seats. We attended a summer program play put on by the students of the three-week long summer break school. My niece attended summer school she enjoyed and look forward to going to it every day.
