My wife and I went to the rooftop bar which was recommended by one of the locals. Entering the bar area we noticed outside seating was kinda full so we preceded to walk up to the next level where the second bar was located. Bartender informed us this part of the rooftop did not open until 2 pm. The bartender then proceeded to say under his breath that maybe it is 2 pm in Brazil. My wife then stated to the bartender that it was 2:02. The bartender then laughed and said he ment 3 oclock. 2 hr drive to enjoy a rooftop view not worth the rude service!

Unbeatable view of downtown Charleston, just beautiful. I think we counted 10 different churches we could see while we enjoyed some good drinks and wonderful service. Make sure to go all the way to the "top" top, as the elevator only brings you to the second from the highest level. I was hoping for better appetizers and cocktails as they seem pretty basic for the high prices, but our waitress was awesome and catered to our every need. We initially wanted to spend an hour or two here and ended up staying about 5 hours here. Whoopsies!

5 star bar, great view of historic Charleston. Two stories, and you can see all the way to the water from the top deck. Amazing selection of craft cocktails, wine and beer. Tons of seating, and well staffed on a Friday night. The crowd was also very pleasant. Nice mix of locals and tourists, which makes for great conversation. The staff is attentive, friendly, and ready to make suggestions of local fare and nightlife fun based off of your likes. Would definitely come back with friends when in town.

Sat upstairs. Asked the same waiter three times for a menu before we got one almost twenty minutes later. We asked twice more to order food before we moved to another table in the downstairs level. It took ten more minutes before anyone cleaned it off, and after 15 more, we decided to leave, as we never saw another employee. The bartenders were great, but overall, I was VERY disappointed.

What a unique surprise! The Rooftop Bar at Vendue was an unexpected find that we loved. You get a stellar view of the city, including Waterfront Park area, and the bartenders were helpful, friendly, and fun. Check out the local beers and specialty cocktails for a fun Charleston experience. There are plenty of places to sit and the atmosphere is very relaxed and enjoyable.

We had the house made salsa and guacamole, Cobb salad, and the club sandwich. All of the food was exceptionally good! The turkey that was on the club was especially good. Add in the cool evening breeze that you can only get on a rooftop and the great views of the area, and you have the makings of an absolutely wonderful evening. This place is a must!

Love this cocktail bar! Every time we come to Charleston (assuming the weather is nice) this is always our first stop for a day of day drinking. The cocktails are amazing and the views are unbeatable. Was a little crowded when we arrived on a Saturday afternoon but that is to be expected. Definitely a must-try for amazing views of beautiful Charleston.

The roof top is not worth the effort. The server staff were unfriendly and the food / drink selections are thin. The online menu is out of date. The most unfortunate part of the experience is the rude security staff corralling patrons to the elevator and not allowing use of the elevator. Just too many other welcoming options in this great city.

This is a must do each time I visit the city and not because they are the best bar in town. The drinks are slightly better than average but if you want a quick bite and a unique view of the city you should check it out. Someone else complained of the watermelon crawl; I had it and enjoyed the refreshing nature of the drink on a hot, humid day.

Beautiful rooftop bar. Very poor access being that there were 13 people trapped on a 115 degree elevator for an hour. Zero sense of urgency from the hotel staff downstairs to get anyone to help. According to them, it happens frequently. Very poorly handled.

3rd time here hoping this time would be the charm but fell short again. Came to show guests in town the gorgeous view of the sunset but that was the only part worthwhile. Average drinks for above average price, warm wine and beer, very slow service.

The seating experience of this bar is very confusing. I am not afraid to ask for directions but all of the employees seemed too busy to accommodate our questions. The drinks were fine and the view is awesome but the overall experience is just okay.

I fell in love with Magnolias from my experience in Beaufort. This one is just as excellent. I ordered from the bar to go. The staff was freindly. The crab cakes were delicious, and I had grilled meatloaf which was tasty without being dry.

You want to go to a rooftop bar in Charleston, this one has the best view of the harbor. Service is exceptional. Cocktails in (very fancy) plastic cups are not the best. But that is not why you are going at the rooftop bar at Vendue anyway.

If you can get in on a spring, summer day - there arent too many other rooftop bars that can match the vendue for good food enjoyed while soaking up the sun on a beautiful day in chucktown. Its usually packed to capacity for a reason.

Some of the best views in the city, and my experience with the service and food was fantastic. Relaxed atmosphere made the environment conducive to good conversation. Recommended for a late lunch, or to watch the sunset.

Bar is located on the rooftop in the centre of downtown. Nice cocktails and drink served at the bar. You get a spectacular view of the holy city at night. I would recommend visiting this place if visiting Charleston.

They changed the menu and now this place is worthless. The food and drinks are absurdly overpriced. The ONLY reason to go here is because its on a rooftop. If you want good food and drinks go to Moes Downtown Tavern

Waited a significant amount of time to get a drink menu, then to order, again to order, even more to receive them. The cocktails were good, so was the view, but not for the time spent waiting.

Does not serve food past 11:30pm. Does have a nice outside patio. The view is ok, not much to see from it aside from other buildings near by. Very pricey. Very classy people around.

This place gets crowded but if you get there before sunset you should be able to grab a table for a great cocktail and the best rooftop view in Charleston
