I was at this water park yesterday August 24th with my four grandchildren ages six to fifteen. It was $15.00 for 40 minutes which I thought was reasonable, until I was told by a teenager I was not permitted to go in with them unless I purchased a ticket even though Im in my sixties and had no intention of going on the slides. I was told I could stand outside the fence to watch I asked what would happen if one of my grandchildren needed help, I was told they had lifeguards. Even if I had paid I wouldnt be allowed near the slides I would have to stand on a platform far away from the slides. On top of everything you cant take pictures unless you are over 6 feet tall so you can look over the fence. My first grandchild who is six came down first (when you hit the water in the pool you hit hard), was crying after he hit the water the lifeguard who looked hung over and also looked like a teenager didnt even get out of her chair . When I yelled to Matty she finally got to her feet to RETRIEVE THE MAT , my granddaughter who is twelve came down then with the pool still being occupied by my grandson, I asked her to show him and help him to the stairs to get out of the pool. I was not only saddened by Matty getting hurt but so upset that these children trust me to keep them safe and I didnt. When Matty was safely out of the pool and I knew he was safe I ran in to tell the kids they were done with the slide. It was to late Joey my eight year old was coming down, lost his mat and hit the water he was pretty much hysterical because he was in pain, his back hit the slide several times on the way down. My fifteen year old grandson was on the slide next to him so he able to grab him, as the lifeguard watched from her chair. While I was inside getting my grandchildren, an adult came down the slide, hit the water and immediately had a bloody nose, the lifeguard didnt even move. I tried to find the owner or even someone who was mature enough or caring enough to listen but the only conversation I heard when I approached one of the girls was when they were shutting down and what bar they were going to meet at. I am not the type to go to a lawyer and I dont even want the money its the policies that HAVE TO BE CHANGED AND THE EMPLOYEES.

My trip to water wizz with my family was far from enjoyable. Not only do they have just 6 slides, they charge rediculous amounts for just 40 minutes of riding. The bathrooms were disgusting and looked as they hadnt been cleaned in months. Reguardless of this we were forced to shower in them by the staff before going on the slides. The slides are run-down and can be very painful when riding without a mat (My mat flew from under me multiple times due to the bumps and narrow turns). My son was struggling to get of the water while one of the incompetent teenage attendants just watched him. She looked hungover and smealt like marijuana. I ran over to help my son, jumping in the pool, while the female attendant was yelling at me to get out of the pool. I confronted her and told her to learn how to do her job. When I went to confront the manager I witnessed the perverted owner sexually harrassing one of the girls working there. The manager was a condescending douchebag and could care less what went on in the park. So for anyone thinking about taking a trip here, think again. This place is disgusting and filled with ignorant teenage employees and even worse management. DONT COME HERE!!!!!

I have been coming here with my family for many years and we always enjoy all of the slides. The staff are very nice and very helpful and the owner is very friendly. The slides are well maintained and the whole facility is very clean. There are six slides total, one slide that is a very short and easy for very little kids and their parents, three more that are not hard for a kid to get down, and two steeper slides that do require some bravery to get down. All of these slides are enjoyable for people of all ages. The vibe that the area gives you is amazing considering the amazing views of Misquamicut Beach, Block Island, and Winnapaug Pond. The prices are very reasonable and the location is right across from the beach. The all-day pass allows you to leave the park and re-enter at anytime on that same day. If you are ever debating whether to visit this park or not, the obvious answer is yes.

I think a lot of the positive reviews here are mistakenly posted here for the Cape Cod Water Wizz. Make no mistake, the Water Wizz of Westerly is NOT IN ANY WAY like the Water Wizz of CC. Not even sure if they have any relation to each other. There are only about 6 slides there, and only one you could call under 5 kid-friendly. There is absolutely nothing other than that there to do. Only my wife and 3 year old son went down the little kid slide once before we left for the beach, and she got a cut on her leg when she hit the water. This place is way over-priced, and I also had a bad impression of the staff.

So...i k we not to expect a full water park by looking at the website. Its a small place...but the slides are great. My 3 year old was super happy with the 1 slide she could go down with a parent and my 9 year old loved all the slides and could go down alone. I went on the Sunday before 4th of july there were no lines...40 minute ticket is more than enough time. Its a nice activity to break up a beach day for the little ones. Slides are great for adults too. Will def make this a yearly stop, maybe more.

The kids are still talking about the wonderful day they had at Water Wizz on Sunday. The owner Michael Kells saw the girls were a little scared so he took the time to show them they would be fine and actually walked them down to the pool and had them stand in it. Well that says it all...they never stopped going down the slides until it was time to leave. Thanks for a great day!!! Trish

Awesome waterslide facility right across from the beach. My family has been coming here since the 80s. The owner and staff are always friendly, professional and willing to help. I also like that the bathrooms are ALWAYS clean. Its a great little spot to check out before or after enjoying a day at the beach!

Go to Water Wizz in Westerly if you feel like ruining your beach day. This is nothing at all like the Water Wizz on Cape Cod. It is awful. The owner is belittling and mean to customers and his staff. If you do go (and I wouldnt recommend it) call first as they close early whenever they feel like it.

The beach is beautiful and the state beach access is nearby but also plenty of reasonably priced public parking. A MUST is to take time to visit The Two Fishes ! Great good, great service. Family friendly as well. Outside dining is a must ! P.s. Very cold beer !
