Went to the Mann Saturday night for the Moody Blues. Getting to this venue is horrendous. Coming from NE Philly it took 1/2 hour to get to the Montgomery Ave. exist off I-76. It took another 40 minutes to get to the venue, and that was just driving off the ramp, taking a right and going a block or so to the venue. Needless to say we were late and missed some of the concert. We thought leaving at 6:15 for a 7:30 concert would be plenty of time!! NOT! Then it was $20 to park. $20 to park on grass and then trying to walk on the dirt that was mud the day before and then dried up. We were pretty far from the building and noticing the hundreds and hundreds of cars knew that it would be a nightmare trying to get out of the "so called" parking lot. It would have taken hours! We left early to avoid that. I will NEVER, EVER go to the Mann again.

The venue is beautiful. The restroom was a little smelly, but it looked clean. We needed the Handicap Parking but were told by the woman taking the parking tickets that it was full but we found out that she outright lied and it was not full. I would like at least a half refund on the $20 fee as it was a real hardship parking where we were told. The acoustics up in the handicap section of the balcony were great and we could see the stage perfectly. Another problem was with the ticket seller on the phone who said only 2 seats per handicap section when there was clearly room for at least four. We were given the 3 required after some discussion. I would go there again.

My first visit to the Mann was to see Fantasia and Anthony Hamilton. I dined at Crescendo before the show which was buffet styled eating. Price of the meal was reasonable for the food they presented at the buffet station. I liked the venue as a whole but didnt like how one would have to navigate the grounds seeing that its located past a steep hill. Some of it is exposed while the rest of it is under cover. If it rained that day the outside people would of had a bad experience. The good fortune of decent weather negated that possibility. I would go again but would only buy seats under cover just in case the weather didnt accommodate us during our visit.

I went to the Paul Simon show on 6/25 and it was completely oversold. I purchased lawn seats and couldnt find a single spot to sit other than near the top concessions (not lawn) where I was unable to see the act. I tried sitting on the LAWN area to the left of the stage and was chased out by the ushers/security. I tried standing in the main corridor, which didnt block any seated patrons view, and was asked to move. One of the ushers was very rude and followed me. I used to really like this venue. But, I will not be going back. Id rather spend me money elsewhere.

Beautiful spot in the city to hang and meet people/listen to live music. Cant go wrong with a park/woodsy setting. I danced in the back of the crowd while most others remained seriously seated. Security interrupted my concert experience twice. First time, one guy was in my face asking me if I was on drugs. Second time, as I was walking to the bathroom another man approached me and bothered me. Laughable, like theyve never seen a person drink, or dance I left halfway through the show due to harassment. Lay off security. Its called having a good time

Sound on the lawn for chamber of secrets was terrible! I dont understand how a venue could boast incredible live music performances with sound that awful. How could you not notice the screeching, cutting, blasting sounds of the Harry Potter dialogue and action sequences? The orchestras performance of John Williams score sounded beautiful, but the other sounds were completely unbalanced and basically painful to my ears. I dont understand how a venue wouldnt address this, it was so noticeable and such a disappointment.

Wonderful concert venue, especially for summer. Like most shows worth seeing it can be a bit expensive after fees so choose wisely. I would recommend tailgating in the parking yards or hitting up a bar/restaurant beforehand as drinks can be expensive as well. The venue itself has a pretty great view no matter where you sit. I have been 10th row center and last row in the balcony and found each experience to be relatively pleasant. We will be making this a summer destination for sure!

The venue itself is nice with great views of the city, but getting there and leaving is a nightmare. Give yourself extra time to be stuck on roads in Fairmount park for an hour to and from. Also, its $20 to park, FYI, so carpool to keep your sanity. The views from the lawn arent that great, but they do have big screens so you can see the stage. I do appreciate the summer picnic option, so you can bring your own food and alcohol (check to see if you can for your event, dont assume).

I had an absolutely horrible experience, I was ejected from a show by an usher, because he said my ticket was fake. It scanned at the door and everything, but this usher, Gino, decided it was fake. Even though I had the emails to back it up. Also, they were 2 day passes and I had no issues the first night. I am still furious a week later. $150 for the tickets, $20 for parking, and I get kicked out because an usher of all people decided that my ticket was fake.

We saw The Dispatch on top of the hill here, towards the back of the lawn... Strange that they didnt use the amphitheater and the lawn area there, but it made the experience more private, so we cant complain. Food trucks and (expensive) drinks were everywhere and even if you sat on the hill, overlooking the gorgeous Philly skyline and huge, reddish/pink moon, you could hear the music in the background loud enough. Id definitely come back.

LOVED the design of the place - all wood, which is wonderful for the acoustics. I was seated to the right of the orchestra, could tell the acoustics the center (like always) so it lost a star for that, but besides that everything was great, there was good available, you can bring your own food, and the staff is marvelous! (I went to see the Philly Orchestra perform Jurassic Park live, totally recommend for any movie they do!!!

Saw Wait Wait Dont Tell me last night on 07/09/15. 1st time at the Mann Center. Fantastic Venue! Only problem is some of the food stations were unprepared for the sold out crowd. Long, slow waits at the upper level BBQ and Taco stations. Noticed food was returned. 15 minute waits for some items. Also ran out of some food at the main food station. Poor food prep / cooking processes

This is a great venue. I went there for 3 concerts and one movie (LOTR with Orchestra) and they were all great. The seats are covered while the grass section isnt. Parking is expensive however ($20 per show) so its better to park at the shopping center and then walk the quarter mile to the venue. You can also take the bus and they have shuttles from the closest train station.
