To start with, when we walked in there was no one behind the bar. We waited inside for nearly ten minutes before someone finally showed up. Only my fiance was sampling as I was driving. However, she offered me a sip of her sample. Immediately upon her doing so, the man behind the bar was clearly offended she did that as to imply he was losing business because she offered to let me have a taste. Then without asking, he aggressively put an empty glass in front us and put a splash into it and then walked away from us. Due to his actions and demeanor, we did not even sample it. If we want to share our sample with one person or three, that is our prerogative and not for anyone else to dictate especially since we are paying for it. I dont know who the person behind the bar was, but he was not friendly, did not engage in any conversation at all and was just rude. Although the wine was good, I would NEVER buy anything from this winery. Unfortunately for the winery, we would have purchased a bottle, but due to the employees actions, it didnt happen. In addition, I will certainly pass along my experience to others as well.

This was a spontaneous stop for us during a drive up the coast - and Im glad we made it in! The tasting room was, quite literally, being shuttered up for the evening just as we pulled up into the parking lot - but the gentleman there was very kind to stay open a little bit longer to take us in anyway. The wines were fabulous! The Cabernet Franc, in particular, was a star. Our host was really pleasant, told us all about the wines, how theyre made, etc, and we really enjoyed chatting with him. The final treat, however, was the view - the tasting room is only a few feet from the edge of a cliff and a breathtaking view of the ocean. We will definitely return if were ever in the area again, and highly recommend it to anyone considering stopping by.

This Tasting Room was a great find! The wine is reasonably priced and the staff was VERY nice. I had my two dogs with me, the ladies were dog-friendly and let me bring them in with us. If you go and the weather is nice, buy a glass to sip in the back yard- some of the picnic tables in the back have a fantastic view of the ocean. Since its pretty high off the water, we got to see whales! Theres a great beach thats walking distance away and a Mos next door for lunch. It made for a great afternoon and I would definitely come back when I am in the area again.

Really great wine tasting. Laid back and best cab francs we found on the west coast (really, really not definitive, but as cab franc drinkers from the finger lakes we were surprised about the short shrift the grape gets out here - flying dutchmans were really well done) Appreciate the great environment, laid back attitude, unique wine making and free tasting. Highly recommend spot - no better place to buy a bottle and picnic out back - hands down winery with best views and picnic spot we have ever seen.

I love this place and its wine. Every time I am in the area I get a bottle or two. Small place so the wine quality is quite high for the size. While not a local legend like King Estate might be, it could quite well be a mini-legend. Lots of great little paraphernalia in the shop as well, like vacuum bottle corks (for sucking the air out of opened wine bottles). And they give discounts for buying multiple bottles in one go, by the half-box and full-box.

Owner double charged me for a package of spreadable cheese ($6), when I asked why the card that he said didnt go through had a charge of $6 on top of the charge of 6 on the card that did go through, he had a nasty attitude about saying there was a mistake and instead of running back a refund he threw money from the top jar into the counter and said theres your 6 bucks. Terrible attitude.

The tasting roon staff, just a few steps away from Devils Punchbowl on the Oregon coast, are friendly and the wine selection is excellent. One of Oregons best-kept secrets. Great site for a picnic lunch -- and a taste of great Oregon wine -- on the beach.

Very helpful in finding the wine we wanted. Do not know a lot about wine, but felt very comfortable in this place. Explained what we wanted, tried a few, found the perfect wine. Bought a couple bottles, and he threw in an opener for free.

Never been to a winery where the sommelier took no interest in describing the wine or even suggesting to try some. Tried 2 wine tastes. Liked one but chose not to buy because the steward couldnt care less.
