I cant say enough good things about this place. We were skeptical that a winery on the west side of the state could produce legitimate red wine. We are skeptical no longer. We tried 10+ wines and all of them were fruit forward, well balanced, sulphite free and generally stellar. We ended up walking out with two bottles of the can franc and two of the golubak, a Russian grape they grow on site that wed never tried before and were immediately sold on. Well be back for sure.

Never in a million years expected to find this gem literally a 7mile straight shot out of Gig Harbor. Even if I lived 100 or more miles away and know what I know now Id drive it just for the intimate tasting with our host Mary Ellen. Just get in the car and head here. So unexpected and perfect. The wine making process here is European -- unique in that olalla is only winery that uses amphoras. Omg the tastes...amazing!

My family and I have enjoyed some of the most fun nights at the winery, listening to great music and drinking AMAZING wine! We have gone to one of the Dinner In The Vineyard events and are very much looking forward to the next one. Mary Ellen and Stewart are so inviting and hospitable, they make the vineyard feel so welcoming and always leave us wanting to come back!
