This review is part of a series of reviews I am doing regarding my weeklong vacation spent in Florence, Oregon. We visited this lighthouse on 7-1-17. This place is great! For only $5 in parking, you get an easy .5 mile hike to the lighthouse and a spectacular view. The staff was very friendly and helpful. They even took our family picture for us. The gift shop had some nice items. After the lighthouse, we took the tougher Haceta Head hiking trail to Hobbit Beach. I was a wonderful, memorable experience. I highly recommend visiting this place if in the area.

A picturesque lighthouse at the top of a beautiful half mile hike. There will be many photo opportunities on the way up! Along the way, youll pass the lightkeepers house which was not open to the public on my visit. There was also a gift shop not open. Lighthouse tours begin at 11, but you cant climb it, only peek inside. Its still worth the hike, as the views cant be beat. The parking fee is $5 unless you have a pass ($10 for a 5-day pass at Yaquina Bay Head).

This is a perfect spot to spend the whole afternoon. There is a beautiful Sandy beach to hang out at, with gorgeous cliff views. The Lighthouse is a short half mile hike away, and they sell snacks and refreshments in the gift shop. If youve got more time, theres a trail up above the Lighthouse where you can do more hiking.

As you round the corner of the mountain you can spot it across the cove. A quick trip through a tunnel and across a monumental bridge and you make it to the beginning of the trail. From there its a beautiful hike through a lush forest up to the light house. When we were done at the light house we explored the caves on the beach.

Barbara and I had a wonderful stay at the Inn, and were laughingly entertained by the staff at breakfast. The History of the light house was awesome. Your dinner recommendation for Restaurant ONO in Yachats was a great experience, in fine dining. Thank You again for the wonderful time. Larry and Barbara Schork Santa Rosa Ca.

The view is great, but not handicap accessible. It was a 1/2 mile hike, one way, up the steep hill and our uncle couldnt go. We didnt go into the lighthouse because the volunteers were to busy flirting with a volleyball team to answer questions about tour times and the tower was closed.

We had a wonderful night at the Inn next to the lighthouse. How can you beat an amazing view, comfortable rooms, and an incredible breakfast. We actually were able to eat all 7 courses! Yum!! Oh, to top it off, the walk to the light station at night was amazing.

Drove the west coast starting from Vancouver,Canada. This is a must see stop on Highway 101. Try to hit the spot during the golden hour - when the sun is rising in the morning or at sunset. Absolutely stunning views. Great place to take pictures.

A fantastic stop! Take your time and walk around the beach as well as the short hike up to the lighthouse. The park guides and volunteers are helpful and super knowledgeable. Dont hesitate to strike up a conversation with them.

It was so much fun to see all that history in such a magnificent house! The view of the ocean was breathtaking and the friendly people who work there were too sweet. I was very impressed and wish to return again soon.

Beautiful place with a wonderful, rich history. The volunteer guided tours are a must. They tell you everything youd want to know about its heritage. Youll be entertained, fascinated and educated.

The forest service does a great job at keeping this light up and accessible to the public. The views are spectacular and its a nice little walk through senic terrain to get there.

Short walk up a nice trail. We were able to push a double stroller up to the lighthouse. Beautiful view of the ocean and lighthouse on top. Definitely worth visiting.
