I have gone to Splash Zone since the time it opened and while I will agree that the rules are getting a bit over the top this year I noticed (example: my daughters were not allowed in the lazy river by themselves this year, but last year when they were both shorter it was ok ? and my ten month old had to be put in a life vest to be on my lap?), but when you go to a public pool you have to accept that some bad parents making poor decisions force the rest of us to suffer. Oh, and BRING BACK those double raft things for the kids to sit separate from the parents but still be connected - those were GREAT. My kids consider it to be a really great treat and its affordable for families. They have reasonable concession prices or you can bring your own cooler and eat at picnic tables outside which I usually do to keep costs down. Im out of work living on 40% of my income and a single parent and can still afford to take my kids a few times each year. My gripes, the website info is more than two years old (should they need someone qualified - I would be happy to be the webmaster LOL), They could REALLY benefit from offering an "after 4-5 pm rate" allowing working families to go on weeknights and not pay the full daily rate to be there two hours. I would likely go more often if they did. Also, while the concession prices are reasonable - it would be nice if they maintained the items on their menu because the last time we were there they were out of more than 1/2 the items by the 5 oclock break. Overall, its a nice place to go thats local and families of all age ranges can enjoy it. So many people tell me that they heard this place is trashy and that is certainly not the experience Ive had at all. I believe people have this confused with that poor pathetic little pool behind Putt-Putt & Dairy Queen on Bechtle years ago. This pool makes that place look like a dump.
This park has so much potential but it is wasted. Let me start off with the staff, the ladies at the ticket booth were friendly and helpful but once I went inside the water park the lifeguards, manager and concession people were very rude. Private companies would fire people for talking to their customers in that rude manner. I used to work in directly with the public I know how bad it can get but you have to be friendly and helpful. Its just part of the deal. Another complaint I had is the pools are just dirty, they let too many people in and it gets dirty. The lazy river is a joke, one hour is walking another you have to be a in a tube..Its just miserable..Being at the park is just miserable. Since you have to drive an hour away for anything in Springfield might as well spend the extra money and go to Columbus and Mason OH. Trust me its worth every penny

Love it! Great place to take my 2 year old! He loves the splash yard! Affordable! Some rules are kind of dumb/common sense things everyone should know, but I know from experience that not all parents are responsible, and not all people are respectful or teach it to their children! Love that safety and respect are enforced! Will be joining again next year. Just wish they stayed open beyond August 21st, at least on the weekends. Keep up the good work!
Ive gone to splash zone for years now and it has gotten worse. Three four years ago this was a really nice place to go, but now is not. yesterday I went to splash zone it was to crowded you couldnt even enjoy swimming because there were to many people, and a kid puked in the pool the mother of the kid did not report is so I did and the manager came out and did nothing about it, It grossed me out and I left.

I had a great time at this park last summer. I went on a water slide for the first time with my son, and we floated the river. My friend and I took a break in the sun, then cooled off swimming laps, while the kids tried the divng board. Im considering a membership pass this year. This is a well rounded park that everyone can enjoy.
My fiance and I came across this place when we were on our first camping trip together. We were camping at Buck Creek state park. We wanted to go swimming on a hot day but the beach was very uncomfortable to swim in due to all of the rocks. Thats when we discovered this place.
I loved swimming there. But the worst thing there were the employees. They judge us for being kids. Also the adult time is manageable but it disappoints us children, for just sitting in the harmful sun. Especially with these harmful UV rays theat cause skin cancer and sunburn.
Granddaughter and I went to Splash Zone on a Sunday afternoon we had a blast. The staff was very professional. The food was great the music was fantastic we would do it again! As a matter of fact going to go next Sunday.
Maybe Im just not a pool person. My kids seem to have lots of fun. But as an adult...meh. They do have adult only swim time every hour. But it is generally pretty crowded, and not a ton to do here unless youre a kiddo.
Congratulations Springfield you ALMOST built a water park. Fun once or twice I mean swimming is fun in general but waaayyy too pricey and the slides just straight up hurt.
The lifeguards were immensely rude, it was disgusting, I saw at least 4 pairs of underwear just laying about, and the concession stand was incredibly unprofessional.
I strongly disliked it. The people there were trashy, the workers let their power go to their heads, and the slides and such were confusing to my child and I.
We went there and it rained for 5 mins and 1 employee screenshoted the rain on a weather app so they could get out of work early, but the rides are fun
I love it, everyone is very nice and friendly to me and my friends. I would recommend this for alot allot of people to go. Plus its cheep.
Lifeguards were extremely rude, and the people running the food stand were very unprofessional. My friends and I are never ever returning.
Rude employees and not kid friendly 16 and older for gym, field house and outdoor pool without an adult really disappointed
Lots of fun even when it looks busy. Could use more shaded areas though.
The only thing i dont like about Splash zone is how early they close!
Always a great time for us & the kids! Good for all ages.
