My Granddaughter and I were at a 10 pm showing. At the and we are greeted with employees standing in front of main entrance door smoking. 6 to be exact. When he put his cigarette out he came in and took our money.,we went to the screen our show was playing on. Go inside and we are the only people in there. In walks this huge black women or man, sat down and puts a black ski mask with a glow in the dark out line of a white skeleton. Absolutely freaked us out. I cannot describe how freaking weird this was. We get up and leave, go to the manger and explain whats going on. She says we cant help it. So I ask her for our money to be returned and she gives me 2 free passes. I said maybe you misunderstood me I will never be back here. I cant believe they would let a patron sit in their theater like that. It was obvious that we were being scared on purpose. No one sits in a dark movie theater with a glow in the dark skin mask on. The place was nasty and dirty. Never again.

I work for a handicap society and we like to take our clients out for a movie once or twice a month. We usually go to the rave but I decided to give the danberry a chance. What a mistake. The theater was so cold.. I seriously considered leaving halfway through the movie. One staff was snotty when I ask for a refill on a large drink. The bathrooms.. are disgusting! Wow so so nasty! To top it off.. there were 2 older ladies sitting near us who stayed on their iPads the whole movie. Not the theaters fault but just added to the all around poor experience we had. The prices are cheap which is why Im even giving 2 stars. But no.. I wont be coming back here anytime soon. Uncomfortable... Cold.. nasty. Poor picture quality as well.

I dont understand people - what can you expect for $3 for a good movie & a movie experience. You cant expect them to have a 5 star location at $3 a movie. I think it is just fine! As far as the cost of the snacks - they are pricey, but they do need to make money somewhere & you have the choice of not buying them. Its pretty tacky to recommend to people to sneak in their own snacks. If you want them to go out of business, so the only movie theater available is the $8 / person theater - then keep up with that attitude! As far as bad employees - I have never had a problem - maybe its you! People ought to be careful about what they say on these reviews!!! Think before you speak!

First of all, they had to decide if they were going to sell us tickets because they were trying to close up. Then they didnt have any popcorn! After we finally found some concessions we do like, and more than doubled their profits, we walked down each hallway until we eventually found our theater. The theater itself was not very impressive either but the lack of extra comfy seats were not what we were expecting anyway. What we would expect is a clean theater which is what we did not get! The movie itself was a great one so Im surprised it wasnt in our normal go to theaters. Im glad we got to see the movie we were going for but I doubt very seriously we will be coming back to this place.

This place can be called many things. But honestly one of the best places to watch a move for the second time or watch a movie that youd have otherwise downloaded on your computer. The price is beyond compare. 3$(1.75 Tuesdays and 1$ Thursdays for a movie that is to be removed from the theater). Have made several trips to this theater lately. The best thing in my opinion is that I got to watch a whole movie all for myself. I cant remember the last time I watched a movie all for myself. Literally I crossed one thing out of my bucket list on the 24th of May 2015. All in all a good place to watch a movie. Dont expect a fancy movie theater and u wont be disappointed.

There is no better place near the Dayton mall to go to see movies cheaply, and sometimes that fact is unfortunate. The Danbarry has seen better days. Many of the screening rooms have multiple broken seats. Their largest screening room has had climate control issues for months but they may finally have fixed that. Walls are too thin and volume of the movies too high so that the neighboring film can intrude on yours. They bought some newer projectors recently but when your screens are scratched up, seems like their priorities are backwards. Dont bother getting here early for a show unless you enjoy irritating commercials framed as pre-show entertainment.

What do you want for three bucks? Recent run movies on a big screen with a concession stand and clean bathrooms. People who complain about this are the same ones that would complain about going to a B&B and suspecting the complementary cookies they had in the common area may have been from a bakery as opposed to baked on site. I recommend it for anyone who did not get a chance to see something they wanted to see when it was first in town but they still want that big screen experience.much cheaper for families to go to as well and the large [popcorn gets free refills. So family of four can get a movie and enough popcorn for less than $20.

You get your moneys worth here. They do not except credit cards up front, the theaters are small and probably 20 years old, the seats and aisles are more cramped than up-to-date establishments. But you do only pay $3 a ticket for kids and adults, I think it is only $1.75 on Tuesdays. I found the place, even the bathrooms, to be very tidy. The food is way too expense for a discount theater (i.e. $12 for large soda and large popcorn together). My suggestion? Sneak snacks in your purse (the blase employees probably will not care) and the whole family can enjoy themselves for under $20.

Dont let the prices fool you, you get what you paid for on customer service. The movie was supposed to start at 4 pm. Right before the movie started, they had a power outage. They gave the customers 3 options; voucher, refund or wait for the movie to start at 5 pm. Some of us waited. However, a little after 5 pm, we found out that they wouldnt start the movie till 7 pm which was next scheduled show time. They did not honor their word. I guess we just went there to buy very expensive popcorn and snacks, and wasted 2 hours of our time.

Great price, better customer service than more expensive theaters, and whenever theres a problem, they at least make you break even. The theater could use some new carpeting and a good wash down, but for the price, its hard to snub. It still has some fun games in the arcade, and the popcorn is unlimited refills--try to find that for the same price at other cinemas. Its one of the only things worth doing for a decent price in the Dayton area (and it isnt even in Dayton), so dont knock it until you go and see it for yourself.

My Eleven year old son and myself saw Transformers 5 at this theater. I was really impressed at how efficiently they handled customer concessions, and tickets. The snacks were great, a real bargain as well. The actual theater hall were we watched the film felt great: Not too hot. Not too cold. The screens images and sound was also very nice. It was a pleasurable experience all around. In fact my son wants to go see Pirates 5 soon. Im looking forward to it.
