Went here last night for a Mick Jenkins concert. Very intimate setting, even if you were in the back it still wasnt a horrible view. The sound was great, lighting was dim yet perfect, and the performance was unbelievable. Loved how the bathrooms were covered in graffiti. Only problem was with one of the workers who almost made it to where we wouldnt meet the artist before hand (that we paid money to meet) because we were under 21 and there was problems with the wristband colors. Everything else was good though.

My first experience. I must say I find it very unprofessional and distasteful hearing the owner discuss the artists issues openly and loud enough to be heard by anyone around her. Ive never been surrounded by so many hateful and judgmental people in my life. I moved my spot at least ten times to avoid groups of people discussing nothing but negativity regarding EVERYTHING and especially the act I traveled as a disabled person from across the state to see. I loved the show. Everything else was horrible.

I recently saw a concert there. I ordered a Guiness draft as my first drink, but the beer was clearly the wrong color, as if it had been watered down. This swill did come out of the Guiness tap, though. I only drank from bottles for the rest of the evening. We were constantly being asked to move as some oddball guy collecting the empties around us every 5 minutes, usually finding maybe 1 or 2 bottles. It was very disruptive. I would think twice about going to the Grog Shop for a show again.

What can I say? Its a Cleveland landmark. Im giving it 5 stars not for cleanliness or high end foods and drinks. The 5 stars are for the great acts that come through, a small intimate club atmosphere where you are right up close with the musicians youve come to see, a large and well stocked bar with good prices for drinks, and strong and working AC unit to keep the place cool when it gets slammed with people. A fun venue to see both local and national as well as international acts.

This is such a neat venue and truly unique! The Grog has live music more than just about any place in Cleveland and attracts some very eclectic bands. There is something here for everyone, no matter ones taste in music. The intimate environment here helps ensure everyone has a great view, while the crowds that are attracted to the Grog have always been respectful and courteous of others. Ive been here a few times and have always left very pleased!

The only thing annoying to me about the place, is that its 1,000 miles away from my house!! Ugh!! Great staff, great owner, who is often there on site to ensure excellent service! How many club owners do that!? Not many is the answer. I wish The Grog Shop continued success and abundant happiness! Hoping to see you all very soon!

My absolute favorite place to go to shows. I go and see mc chris here every year and I think Im going to start going up on my weekend days off to see some different bands as well. Very intimate setting. Small enough to be not to small of that makes sense. Tons of food and other stuff to do right around here as well.

Arguably the best venue in Cleveland for live music. Been coming here for over a decade. Diverse acts, alcohol is a great price for a venue, ample parking, clean neighborhood, great crowd, great bartenders, great prices. Nearly unbeatable. It can get crowded because it is an intimate joint but thats about it.

The place to go to see an indie band rock out. Its not that big inside so the room really fills with the sounds of the band and the heat of the crowd but whats not to love about 300+ sweaty fans all writhing in sync to whatever tunes waft from the stage. Great times and a great scene any night.

Excellent supporter of rising musicians and the independent scene in general. My first visit caught The Black Keys when they were just raising eyebrows and now theyre selling out venue ten times the size. This is the kind of place that will keep indie music alive and vital....thank you!

One of the absolute best places to see a show in Cleveland. Great sound and usually great groups of people here. The people who work here are usually pretty nice. There are always a few big name surprises that show up here each year. One of the best places to see a show around!

Small venue with a dive bar like atmosphere. The bar is well manned and they have an excellent beer selection, from 4 dollar tall boy PBR all the way to hoppin frog boris the crusher. The bathroom situation of course is terrible and I would suggest only light usage of it.

Just came back to visit and got a vip. The managers are great and the staff is lovely. I love this place because its so classy, beautiful, clean, just gorgeous. The VIPs are super affordable and this is my go to spot when I go to CA. Cant wait to return.

Cool little vebue. Parking garage right down the street. Cool shops real close if you want to go early to do something before. Also a good chance to meet and hang with the bands. Con: not many places to sit so if you get there late youll be standing.

Small little concert venues are a favorite of mine back home in Detroit. First time in Cleveland and I saw a show here, I was not disappointed! I was a HUGE fan of the fact that they have a water cooler with ice-cold water for free to concert goers.

All areas are like a front row spot here. Stage is just slightly elevated from the crowd. Cheap drinks. Great venue to have a close-up experience to the artist. Make sure to park in the Marcs parking lot (quarter payment meters). They will tow :/

Easily my favorite little venue. Provides an intimate concert experience, and its highly likely that the performer will stay after the show and talk to fans. If an artist you love comes to the Grog, you owe it to yourself to go.

Top notch live concert venue in Cleveland Heights. Featuring international/national & local touring artist of all musical genres. This venue has been around for over 20 years and has featured too many known artist to mention.

Small place but cozy. Best for an up close experience. Nice workers. Parking is a bit of a pain (parking garage across street by Marcs is the best place to park! Dont use Marcs parking lot use the garage) but manageable.

Fantastic atmosphere, friendly people, awesome authentic looks. If you love live music in an intimate setting, this is the perfect place, and one of the few good ones left around. Check it out next time youre in Coventry!
