Well, for the second time now - in as many visits, we made the hour and fifteen minute (or more as this time was in summer traffic!) ride up from our home on Hatteras Island for a movie, this time was my wife and myself on a "movie and early dinner date", we arrived at the theater 45 minutes before the movie started as I like to get there plenty early to get the exact seat that I like in the theater. We were greeted by a line that wrapped around the corner and down one side of the theater as it was a rainy day and it seems that everybody with a kid, or groups of 5-10 kids, were going to the movie, not that big a deal we just waited in the car a little while until closer to the time of our movie. The rain stopped and we got in line, only to wait about 10 minutes or so, upon getting to the ticket window we asked for 2 tickets to the movie we came to see, only to be told "Im sorry, we canceled that showing", and the next one wasnt for another 4 hours! Now granted, we were going to see "Jungle Book" and it has been out for a while, but the last time we came here was for "Star Wars" and it had only been out for a week or so, at least that time the next showing was in an hour. Both times that this has happened I checked their website repeatedly for the showtime, including before we left the house to make the drive up there, and this time while I was in the parking lot before we got in line! Still showed the time we wanted to see the movie, no sign on the window of the ticket booth, still showed the time on the sign on the wall of the building and everything. You can do better than this! I know that this theater is the "only game in town" and therefore gets away with higher prices, pretty outdated decor, so-so popcorn, and not-so-clean bathrooms, but I am getting tired of driving 60 miles to see a movie only to find out it has been canceled! The first time we just waited an hour for the next showing, this time we left - so much for our "movie and dinner" date, instead it became a "late lunch and some shopping" date. Youve got me twice now, but 3 strikes and youre out! Next time it happens will be the last time I step foot in there I already drive over an hour to get there, I will just drive the additional 45 minutes into Virginia to go to the Cinema Cafe - which everybody that I have talked to that has been there has absolutely loved it!! Poor form RC Theaters, poor form!!

Not where you want to go.....they offer a $1 off military discount but only for one person not the spouse nor children. $1 off for those that serve this country....not exactly a military friendly organization. We also had an elderly lady experience a heart attack during the previews of our movie so they stopped letting me in....nice job. As soon as the rescue personnel wheeled her out they started the movie. Didnt even wait for her to be wheeled all the way out nor let those in the lobby enter. All of those waiting in the lobby had to enter the theater in the dark as the movie had started.

We have been to quite a few movies at the KDH Movie Theater. It is exactly what you would expect from an older theater. Lobby is large and fairly clean with an arcade area. Food and beverage is your standard movie theater fair for standard high theater prices. The theaters themselves are nice and the seats have always been comfortable for me. I have been in newer and nicer movie theaters but for the price I am always happy with my experience here.

Worst movie theater I have been too. They really need to keep where you buy the tickets and where you get food at seperatly. Also you need to have more people staffed and know what they are doing. Had many staff members running around no having an idea what they were doing, having to ask other staff members questions. Super slow. Just not well cleaned.. Super dumpy. I would never come here again. Just awful service and facility.. Smells awful

This place has really started to go downhill. The positives: They have new movies, multiple screens, and and generally arent very crowded. The negatives: Staff seems slack and the whole place is dirty. I happened to look inside the workroom where the projectors were located. I dont think that room has ever been cleaned. It was unreal. If the staff is willing to work in that filth, you can only imagine the rest of the place.

The seats are a bit too low for people shorter than 6 feet and if the row right in front of you gets occupied, a part of the screen will be blocked by the person sitting in front of you. But for a small town like this, this is probably as good as it gets. Go here if you really must. Otherwise, I would rather recommend a stay at one of the beaches here for 2 hours and you can watch movies later at a better theater near you.

This is a nice theater to see a movie on vacation. It has a kind of local feel, and is not a big attraction aimed at tourists. You cant get tickets through Fandango, but there shouldnt be a problem with selling out of a movie. The beach is a bigger draw in the area. It is a pretty clean place inside with a few fun arcade games in the lobby and plenty of parking available.

Went to the movies September 6 at 1:30 to see Wind River. The young man behind the concession stand appeared rude and unhelpful. When asked what movies started at 1:30, he just stood there. He definitely needs education in customer service. We purchased our tickets from him and he never said thank you. The lady that took our tickets was very friendly.

Well I have been here a few times with my family and I live within a good 30 min from this place and we are going to watch hotel Transylvania 2 and Ive seen previews and it looks fun to watch! I cant wait because they always have good service, fresh popcorn, and so much more and I have never been to a better theatre than this one!!

I live here on the beach and I really like this theatre. People complain about the prices but they need to keep in mind that ITS A BUSINESS AND IT NEEDS TO MAKE MONEY HOW ELSE DO YOU MAKE MONEY TO SHOW THE MOVIES THAT THE PUBLIC WANTS TO WATCH??? Besides the complaining people, its a great theatre!

My Grandkids and I love to Go to this theater. The staff is very friendly and helpful. theater and bathrooms are very clean. The popcorn is delicious and we like extra butter. I recommend everyone go to the movie and at lease on a rainy day while you are here on vacation

I bought bulk tickets and they always charge OR attempt to charge you the same regular price every time I go. In other words....all the trouble it took to buy these bulk tickets was for no deal at all. Unethical. Also the place is smelly and dirty.

Did a early show so not crowded, comfortable seats, ok prices on concessions, staff friendly, sound and picture quality was good. On a rainy day when beach is not an option, a movie does the trick (especially for kids and teens)
