Let me put this very simply: do not come to this terrible, extremely rude staffed and extremely sketchy club. Ill briefly sum up my experience. Im going to go see my favorite band after waiting months and months. Despite me being polite and greeting the officers, they were all extremely rude to me. The first patted me down, which is understandable, then seemingly groped me inappropriately. I decided to let it pass, thinking maybe it was an accident. Then as I go to pay for my ticket, the woman behind the counter blatantly ignores me as I ask her a question. Again, I figure its a busy night, so I let it pass. Then I finally get into the club. The sound was decent, nothing special. Halfway through the last band, however, I noticed someone stole my phone. I checked around me to make sure it didnt fall out, but there is no phone to be found anywhere. I decide not to let it bother me and enjoy the rest of the set. After the show, I look around the floor and ask everyone I see, but to no avail. Someone tells me that someone turned a phone into security, so I decide to go and check. When I get to the front desk, one of the security guards again blatantly ignores me, and the other two are extremely rude. They say theres no way they could find it, and they ask me to leave, despite me being very polite and thanking them regardless. As I walk back in to get merch, I pass another security guard and ask him about it. He says hes going to check in the back. I wait on him for 15 minutes, and he never comes back. Finally, I ask the last one I see, who just shakes his head and walks away. After getting merch, we waited for a few minutes to see the band, but security was again extremely rude and kicked us out for no reason. Needless to say, I have a feeling one of them stole my phone but isnt complying. I found the case on the ground, but no phone to go with it. In conclusion, if you want to be crammed into a tiny "club" for a show with trashy decorations, TERRIBLE service, in a very sketchy environment, I would say this is the place for you! Needless to say, they will never get my money again. Do not waste your time or money going to this terrible venue.

Do not waste your time and money at Greene Street. Ive attended many shows over the years, and every time I end up feeling disappointed at the end of the night. For starters, the show times never start at the time that is printed on the website or on the tickets. The last show I went to said that the show was at 5:30 and it did not start until 6:30. Secondly, the employees are extremely rude. Even the owner is rude. One show I went to, he yanked this kid up off the floor who had passed out from dehydration. Then proceeded to fuss him out for lying on the floor. They never cater to the bands well and never give them decent space to set up merchandise, (which is the way the bands make a lot of their funds to continue touring). They charge a ridiculous underage fee, which does not affect me, but for other people its not fair that they have to pay $5 to get in to a show that they already paid a ticket fee and price. They, also, charge a $5 re-entry fee which makes no sense to me since they marked you with a Sharpie or put a bracelet on you to recognize that you have entered the building already. All in all, this venue is horrible. Do not waste your money here. It is filled with a bunch of money-hungry manipulators for employees. I DO NOT recommend this place at all.

After reading some of the reviews, I have to say, Ive been in Greensboro for 8 years now & have been a patron of Greene Street since my freshman year in college. At first I thought it was simply a college bar but quickly learned that its a WHOLE LOT MORE. They have multiple nights catering to different clientele (college, urban, international, LGBT) which many of the other clubs in downtown do not. Greene Street is also one of the only LIVE MUSIC VENUES in Greensboro which brings in national headline shows (with exception to the coliseum) as well as helps to promote LOCAL artists/bands. WITHIN THE LAST YEAR, Greene Street is under new management and the club has stepped up their game - huge remodels, new djs, community events, new staff/security, etc. They are currently remodeling the entire first floor to make it more accommodating for bands with a new stage, sound equipment, lighting, and bar. Greene Street expects a lot more from their staff as well as the customers that walk through their doors. I HIGHLY recommend Greene Street Club.

Nothing is worse for a venue than false advertising. I paid over 60 bucks for four tix to see Glass Cloud with Acacia Strain. Friends travelled literally hundreds of miles to attend the show, as we are major fans of Glass Cloud. We arrived at the show, pumped and spending exorbitant amounts of money at the liars bar. We were there almost two hours before we realized Glass Cloud had been dropped from the tour almost TWO months prior. This however did not stop Greene Street Liars Club from advertising Glass Cloud on their calendar. The bouncer refused to give me back my tickets which clearly showed the band that was not present, and was as helpful as a snail in a moving company. So, if you want to go to a show at this cheap ass venue, I suggest you make sure they are actually coming, and not being used as a publicity stunt to lure in unsuspecting fans.

The only thing worse than this-- is that there ex bar stocking boy, "Jack," decided to COPY this place- almost exactly, by opening a place called Jacks burger bar," (how original) in Reidsville. Im not sure which place sucks more. Though, Im sure of WHY they both suck. One place overcharges for drinks and tickets. The other over charges for under or over cooked food and entry. Oh, wait- they both do that. This is a case of monkey see, monkey do- At least Green Street draws a crowd. Even they do lie about the performers booked. However, if the owner is teaching others to open up joints just as bad, or WORSE than this place.... Its criminal. Loud, obnoxious, cheap things for expensive prices... Avoid at all costs. Then, strike Jacks Burber bar from your "places to visit," after striking this place!

As someone who attend this club often. The last few experiences have been left me a little unsettled. Between the owner of the club not liking gay individuals in the club and extremely rude when they have gay night on Sunday to the young lady with natural hair that sits at the front who is extremely rude. I dont know how to completely guide the rating for the club. But honestly some places are completely deal breakers and for me thats enough.

Their "security" is dangerous to the patrons. PARENTS - Do not allow your under 21 kid to go to the shows here! Alcohol IS obtainable by those under 21!! The owner is a moron only interested in covering his slimy butt! I cant recommend this club to those over 21 either, unless you prefer trashy, low-level entertainment. For a much better club experience, there are many other clubs in downtown Greensboro for you to choose from!
