Based on the recommendations of a couple of friends I decided to celebrate my birthday here on a Friday night. It was my first time and most of my friends first time coming here but we all enjoyed it and had a fun night! Everything is 80s/90s themed including the decor and drink names. Its two floors with a bar on each floor, there is a dance floor downstairs and more of a seated area on the main floor but you can hear the music anywhere. They also have a large patio area with another bar and seating which is where we spent the last hour of the night once we got too warm inside (they had free cups of water outside too). It isnt your typical club scene which was a breath of fresh air, we werent bothered by anyone throughout the night and everyone there seemed pretty cool and relaxed. The DJ takes requests (80s/90s music of course) and did play the songs we requested. Overall it was a really cool place that I would go back to anytime! The cover was $5 on a Friday. The only negative was that the mixed specialty drinks were a bit pricey and not strong. They had some drink specials but nothing too appealing to my friends and I. Also, its 21+ only for anyone thats wondering. My sister wasnt able to celebrate with me because of that, I figured it would be 18+ based on the theme of the club and it wasnt advertised anywhere online.

Great music, but both times I went the arcade was half broken. The one game I did use looked like it worked but only one button worked and I just sat there and died or jumped. They said they knew the machines were broken and wont fix them. They basically just keep them there to steal your money and hope you dont ask for it back. Also the door guys are pretty cool.

No doubt in my mind that The Roxbury will always be the best club in Charlotte. Total sickness and mental illness 80s & 90s music. The staff is always a joy to be around. To bad Im moving back to my home State soon. I will deeply miss this amazing club & staff. Thank you.

The atmosphere inside this club is vibrant, unfortunately your experience may be ruined by poor customer service. From the bouncer, to the bar staff, to their social media manager, it is evident this business does not know how to treat its customers.

Good nightclub. Brings me back to the old ol days. Theres a lot more 90s than 80s music and gets busy Saturday night. The cover charge went up to $7 but still a great place to go for some fun dancing.

This is a fun spot, and I dont particularly like music from the 80s. However, the basement is like being at a frat party, and the place must have been 100 degrees. Drinks were very reasonable.

Great venue with fantastic music from the 80s and 90s. Loved how they had a basement AND a classic game room. Cant wait to come back when it gets warmer to enjoy the patio area.

Great place. Worth the $7 cover charge, but you have to watch the barenders. They tried to change the price on the same drink as well as the second one was mostly ice.

I like this place a lot but I cannot wait until the summertime to see it really pop. Its small and college themed but thats where the party animals dwell. #NastyNomad

Loved the old school hits! Downstairs was super hot but when you cram a ton of people in a basement what do you expect? Bartenders were nice and accommodating.

Love this place, very large, lots of dance and mingle space, 3 or 4 bars I think. Great outside area, great staff. Fun music and people.

Fun night out with 90s theme. Be ready to listen to all the boy band and 90s pop we all remember. Small cover fee and a big dance floor

I love this bar and everything it does... minus the bartenders. They are super slow and not the most skilled.
