So I posted this review on the Seawitch Facebook page: What a horrible group of people. If you want to be robbed blind and have your drivers license and credit card seized by a bunch of misfits then this is the place for you. This was there response: The only drivers license taken tonight was from a woman with an ID she was using that wasnt hers. It was turned in to the Carolina Beach Police Department. We can assure you no credit cards were taken from her and she can certainly go up to the police department tomorrow to reclaim the license she was using :) The "woman" you are referring to was NOT using an ID that wasnt hers. In fact she had a matching debit card at the bar to cover her tab. This is what actually happened: When the "woman" exited the restroom she was approached by two female members of your staff before she was completely out of the door. They were obviously coming in to get her when she walked out. They asked to see her ID and she presented her Drivers License. She was then accused by your security staff of using an ID that did not belong to her and told she would have to leave even though she had a matching debit card on file at the bar to cover her Tab. The ID she presented was absolutely 100% hers. Granted it expires on her birthday this year so the picture on it may be antiquated but she was absolutely not using someone elses ID. She was then told to leave. She demanded her ID and debit card and your staff refused to give her the items back. She was then picked up and physically removed without her belongings while being accused of being underage and using ID and a Debit card that did not belong to her. Her friend that tried to reason with the staff was told that she would be arrested if the did not leave. The security guard indicated that he would claim that she tried to assault him to have her arrested. The Police arrived when the womans friend called them in an attempt to retrieve her belongings that were now forcibly taken from her. The moment they arrived your staff turned the cards over to the police. The officer reviewed the items and returned them to their rightful owner. Is it a coincidence I could not respond to to your claims in my original review or did you block me? All of your claims are completely false and you are absolutely lying about the events that occurred. All of the patrons involved would gladly meet with the owner if any clarification is desired. Until then you do not have to concern yourself with anyone involved or there dozens of friends coming to spend there hard earned money at your place of business. Good luck with your horrible underhanded approach to your patrons. I cant wait to see the results in the months and years to come.

We have been to the sea witch once before and had a great time sitting at the bar. The Ahi tuna nachos were awesome and service was great. Fast forward to our last visit about a week ago and it was SO bad I will never go back. Our food took over an hour and a half to get on the table and i had to ask about it twice. They claimed the steam pot broke and that they had "a lot" going on because 2 servers had quit that day and they had to fire 3 people in the kitchen. LISTEN, I work in the restaurant industry and you NEVER EVER tell guests whats going on behind the scenes because you know what, we dont care. We are paying customers who are waiting to eat for the food they are paying for. the fact that you all cant keep up means you need to readjust the amount of covers you are taking and be open with your guests about what you can and cannot do. I sent my drink back because it was the wrong one and the replacement was lackluster as well. Our appetizer that we had reordered from our last visit had barely any tuna on it and looked like itd been thrown together in a hurry. Literally the only saving grace to this horrific meal out was that we didnt have to pay for anything because the management finally came over after an hour and a half to apologize and let us know we could stay if we wanted to wait. So, we wait. Finally our food came out. My crabcake was luke warm and the potatoes were tasteless. the pasta dish my friend ordered was all sauce in a bowl with a few noodles tossed in and the steampot was ok but potatoes and corn were awful and seemed old. We brought our friends here because we loved it initially but after this we will never be back and I WILL NOT RECOMMEND TO FRIENDS or ENEMIES.

I usually take the overall reviews into consideration before going to a new restaurant. However my experience at this place does not reflect the 4 star average. It took a long time for our food to arrive. We waited for at least 30 minutes for our food. I ordered the black bean burger. The middle of the patty was very cold. Our server was no where to be found to make her aware of my problem. Another staff arrived and I brought this to his attention. Minutes later I go a new plate of food. The food was mediocre at best. To be honest, Im sure it was from a box of frozen black bean patties and not homemade. And Im sure it is the reason why the black bean burger was cold initially. When it came time to pay for our meal, both my partner and myself paid for the order with cash. My order came out to $12.30. I paid with a $20 bill. When she collected our payment, she said "Are we good?" I wasnt sure what she meant by that. Then I realize that she was referring to her keeping the change. NOT GONNA HAPPEN! Luckily my partner told her we would need change. In hindsight I should have never given the small tip. The only reason to justify the tip was the wait staff was not rude. And neither were we for the record. And another one for the record, Im not the type to make a compliant like this unless it is necessary. In summary: poor service and poor quality of food. And the sweet tea was terrible. Wont be returning.

Great Food. Great Drink (Beer) Specials. Great Service. Definitely Recommend.... My wife and I are from Minnesota and were staying in the area and visited the night they had karaoke, largely in part because they were close to our hotel and we like karaoke. Not only was the karaoke experience great, the food was very tasty and the portions were plentiful. The bartender and servers took great care of us. We returned a couple days later for dinner and tried another menu item and had some drinks. The service and food was again very impressive. We returned two more times before our trip ended and every experience was excellent. If we lived in the area, wed be regular patrons. Cant wait to go back next time were in Carolina Beach!

Had dinner with a group of 10 people on August 10. Maybe the regular chef was on vacation, but pretty much across the board this was the worst food we ever had dining out. Two people spent the rest of the evening in the bathroom after eating just a bit of their meals (we think it may have been the crab dip). The shrimp and grits was absolutely terrible - boiled shrimp buried in some "green sauce" with two cakes which were supposed to pass as grits. The pastrami sandwich was so fatty that it was not even eaten. The only edible item were a cheeseburger, fries and the kids chicken fingers. We would not recommend this restaurant to anyone! Only put the 1 star because it does not allow 0.
