I went to see a concert. They have lots of parking. But they do charge for parking if youre going to a concert. They said they dont charge for the ballet or the orchestra. The concert started at eight I think. The gates opened at 7. We got there at 5. They should open the gates up earlier. Instead they have people, many older people standing waiting around when they could be going inside, setting up, sitting down, getting food, getting comfortable. But no they have everybody standing out there like sardines, it is pathetic. We had lawn seats. It was very fun but is different than the last time I went there which was a long time ago. Now they have the lawn areas fenced-in for safety issues Im assuming. It would be great but everybody sits mish-moshe so its hard to get around - safety issue there. We sat down the bottom. We left a little early. I went downhill because theres no way Im going uphill Im disabled. When I got down the woman wasnt very friendly, she didnt want let me out but I let her know I was disabled. I was not going to go up and hurt myself and I asked her to please move the trash can so I could get Theyre very unreasonable. I know they have to keep things orderly but dont be unreasonable. Then when I got up to the top of the hill I needed to stop and take a breath and one of the security was like come on move move. Im sorry I cannot move as fast as you want me to have to stop take a breath and catch my balance so I dont fall and roll down the hill. After I got my balance I looked around and realize the whole long was packed from the bottom all the way Way Back. I think Ill be getting seats inside from now on. I gave it 4 stars because I used to go to the valley all the time it was awesome. And I do have great performances there.

Just went to see Florida Georgia Line tonight. If you are seeing any concert with any bass do NOT sit in section 29! The sound is awful. You cant hear the artists its like listening to music in a car with the speakers completely blown. Not only that the seating chart is misleading. You can not see the full stage we couldnt see the drummer at all and the only Jumbotron you can actually see is on the OPPOSITE end of the venue! Guest services was not helpful they told us to fill out a form and we would hear back in 5-7 business days. Thats not going to help us see the show tonight! We also get yelled at by security to sit in our seats when we were trying to stand along the side of the seats. I understand safety being an issue but we paid almost 100$ a ticket for pavilion seats and we couldnt hear a thing except muffled sounds. Also they sell out the lawn seats which is super tiny! Everyone was on top of each other and if youre up the hill(which is steep) you cant see the stage at all just the building. The sound however, was much better. It was a lose lose for us either we couldnt hear or couldnt see. Most awful concert experience Ive ever had.

Went to see Dead and Company On 6/20. By far the worst concert experience in my life. Not sure who was running the show, SPAC or LIve Nation. Whoever was in charge they did a dreadful job. Number one traffic control was awful. I paid, I believe $32. for premium parking and there was no signage or anything telling people that if they did not pay they could not park there. As a result everyone was trying to get into this parking lot and ones without tickets were turned away. at the entrance. It took me an hour and a half to go less than a half mile. Lets move on to the concert. The sound system was mediocre at best. The flat screens above the pavilion to view the stage were basically useless. The lawn area was definitely over booked. It reads the lawn area holds 20,000 people. There had to be at least 30,000. People were sardined on the lawn, the beer and food vendors area, as well as the area behind them. There was absolutely no crowd control. We were bumped and jostled so many time we left the show during the second set. I have been to many shows and this without doubt the worst. Someone dropped the ball on this performance

I saw Rob Thomas with Counting Crowes Aug 15th, 2016. The venue was great! Picturesque and beautiful setting in the footills of the Adirondacks. Alot of security and several ticket checks along the way down to keep out the riff raff, but as usual, the pot smokers prevailed. Doesnt bother me much but my son wasnt too thrilled. They were putting some folks out that they could catch. I dont see a place to rate the musicians...... I will say this, Rob Thomas stole the show AND, dont waste your money to see The Counting Crowes. They were flat, drab and rude at times. The main singer DOES NOT have his groove any more. Only 3 of their great hits were played out of 12 or more songs, of which 1 performance was memorable.....He even commented "If you wanted to see a band that will just play the songs you know, your in the wrong place. And if you dont like it, you can get the F out or something". That was when I left.....What the "F" does he think people will spend top $ for??? Too see unknown, drab, an boring songs?? What a let down. He mostly looked and acted like a punk.....saddening to say the least.

This venue would be absolutely fantastic if they didnt allow chairs to be brought in. I cannot for the life of me figure out why they would let people bring in chairs. Or have a section of the lawn that is dedicated to only those frustrating people who insist on bringing chairs. Let them take up room for their complaining and tripping people over in their own little area.SPAC really needs to do something about this, either stop allowing chairs and only blankets OR make a "chairs only" part of the lawn off to the side somewhere The people who feel its appropriate to bring chairs to a venue such as this shouldnt be allowed to yell at the hundreds of people who arent taking up useful space. Theres a ton of vendors and well priced drinks, great shows, wonderful sound, and solid employees. Leave your chairs at home people and stop ruining everyones time. Bring a blanket. There would be plenty of room for everyone on the very good sized lawn and it wouldnt seem as crammed if it werent for all of the square footage being wasted on these people in chairs.

Agree with previous review. Dont buy lawn seats! No where does SPAC indicate that there is a LIMITED amount of lawn area where you can see the act. You have to get there when the doors open at 6PM to get this lawn space. The REMAINING LAWN SPACE is located behind vendors and trees. My kids and I could hear Mumford & Sons fine but we werent able to see them. Theyre two tiny screens mounted on the outside of venue for the LIMITED lawn area folks who arrive early to claim their turf. For the lawn folks in the BACK behind the vendors and trees...no visual of stage whatsoever. The venue itself is beautiful, staff is pleasant and crowd was great. Management just needs to indicate possible obstructed view if buying lawn seats. Also, not sure why they just dont setup a couple large screens in the BACK lawn area as a courtesy to their customers?
