Ive lived here my whole life and I dont think Ive ever been there and seen most of the animals out at one time. Today I went and all I was able to see were maybe 6 or 7 animals out of however many they have to see. Its honestly not worth the money, between the tickets and the stuff to eat for my son and the water I was out 60 buck by the end of the day for my two year old to look at a tiger, a monkey, an elephant and a hyena. Its cool that he saw them, but definitely not worth that much money. For the same level of fun if not more you can take the kids to the petting zoo for a dollar in Spencerport.

The Seneca zoo was okay, you can easily tell that they are trying to make this zoo something special with all the renovations going on. The down side is that the some habitats are a bit out dated small. This zoo looks like it has a lot of potential to be a lot bigger and to grow. My favorite of the zoo was the step in to Africa. Its fresh and new the exhibits for the lions was amazing! Plenty of space for them to hang around. Elephants can use a bigger out door Aera. Id love to see more reptiles and a actual jungle world eco building type of thing. Its not the Bronx zoo. But theyre trying

Our kids know every inch of this zoo. Annual pass is a bargain! Lion exhibit is the star hands down. It has a great blend of educational opportunities, open play zones and Indoor outdoor exhibits for what ever weather central New York throws at you. Zoo brew has even hosted the occasional wedding. Our family thinks its part of the character but youll certainly hear comments about the grounds being a straight line that just abruptly stops as far away from parking as possible so you have to back track to go home. 2018 promises zebra and giraffe additions!

I love the zoo and think it is great,I love the way the animals come out and interact with people, the shows are funny and i love seeing other kids such as me come out and play with such excitement. The only thing is the sea otters do not come out as often but the owners cant do anything to help with that. If you have kids this is a great place to take you friends and family. I would love to have the owner comment on this to show that you really care about your customers. THANK YOU very much and please comment on the post to the owners.

I like the zoo... its usually pretty clean, the exhibits are well maintained, though some of the enclosures are in need of updating. The zoo is worth the $10 to get in, but its also small enough that it doesnt take up the entire day to walk through it. I wish the river otters were out more often though. Really looking forward to the major renovation project that will start in the next few years. It would be nice to see more natural enclosures for the animals instead of the cages they have now.

Was quite happy to spend an afternoon shooting here with a long lens. Barn owl and great horned owl were amazing to see up close, Canada Lynx was awesome, bald eagle was majestic, Tiger was just a tremendous sight, African lions were really impressive, but just be warned that the male was quite territorial and "marked" the area nearby, unfortunately a gentlemen was not familiar with wild cats, and his clothing definitely suffered as a result. He laughed, I laughed, and well lesson learned.

Absolutely love it here! We stay for hours. Im proud to contribute to an accredited zoo. They do so much for conswrvation. Were really excited for the expansion, especially the red panda! If you dont want junk food then pack a lunch. You can still use one of the many tables. Its nice to sit in the shade on a hot day. The kids like to splash in the creek. My daughter and I are really excited for the sleepover next to the polar bear and sea lions! Definitely check it out and get a membership.

I visit Rochester regularly and became a member of this conservatory zoo. For a northern US city of this size the exhibitions are outstanding. The staff are friendly and animals active. The zoo signage is poor and faded, but they offer cell phone info on many of the animals. Timing is everything, "nice" weather days the animals can be listless and the zoo crowded. Visit on an overcast or cool temperate day and the zoo is really alive! Remember many zoo favorites are nocturnal...

Pretty cheap ticket prices. We went after the renovations so everything looked very nice. Many of the animals dont appear to have a lot of room to roam which kind of bothered me. They literally had four elephants in one enclosure that I dont believe was a suitable size for just one of them. I know thats pretty standard at most zoos but thats just my opinion. Other than that, everything was good - the snacks were tasty and the gift shop had a few interesting products.

I believe my review will be based on just the day itself. There wasnt much going on. We could have walked in and out in about 45 minutes total. The lions werent out, one of the animal building was closed, and the dip and dots vendor was closed. Was quite underwhelmed. My 1 year old seemed to still enjoy herself regardless! Place was clean, and the staff was hospitable. Wasnt a bad visit, just not much to do.

The place was nearly deserted, all concession stands were closed it was only 3pm. The animals that chose to come out were depressed and confined. Nothing exciting but a bunch of barbed wired cages no food just vending machines. A waste of money And a HUGE construction section that has been going on for awhile. Polar bears fur was dirty and matted. Poor animals. Only in Rochester NY

A well established, well maintained and modern zoo! We have a membership and frequently visit the zoo. The staff are always cheerful and love interacting with the kids to teach them something new about the animals. They offer many education opportunities and hold special events (conservation days, animal birthdays, etc.) throughout the year. I highly recommend a visit!

Great place to take the kids. My 2 year old loves to see all the animals! There have been great strides to make the enclosures more like the animals natural enviroments, but the enclosures are still on the small side. A lot of the animals come across as bored or depressed. Weekdays are a lot less crowded so it makes for a more enjoyable experience.

Horrible experience today. Place was all over grown and filthy. Charged us $33.00 to get in with our grandson, lacked to tell us they were shooting a commercial during their open hours and that part of the zoo was off limits. Really you close at 4 film it then. Will never visit this place again. If there was a zero rating thats what it would be!!

An amazing zoo that is fun for all ages. The expansions that have taken place in recent years put the Seneca Park Zoo on a par with may larger city zoos. And it continues to grow and get updates. The zoo is long, sloped and narrow so bring a stroller for kids as you need to walk uphill on the way out. Great staff! We go back frequently.
