I’m writing to urge you to retire all animals at Deer Haven Mini Zoo to reputable sanctuaries. I was appalled to learn of the deplorable conditions endured by these animals. All living beings deserve to live a healthy life and not to be forced to endure captivity inside small, filthy cages. Please make the compassionate decision to allow these animals to spend the remainder of their lives in naturalistic habitats that are suited to their needs. The animals at your facility deserve better than to spend their days languishing in unsanitary conditions for the sake of human entertainment. At a reputable sanctuary, animals have the opportunity to roam, forage, climb, and play in vast habitats and receive the quality care that they deserve. If you care about the well-being of these animals, you’ll understand that your facility cannot meet their unique and complex needs and that they deserve to live in a true sanctuary. Thank you for your time and consideration.

I called this zoo about their awful, inhumane conditions. The woman answered and yelled at me, hung up on me twice, and said "I hope you never have children." Im not kidding. She was as horrendous as the conditions the animals live in! No surprise there. They need to retired all their animals to reputable sanctuaries. I was appalled to learn of the conditions endured by these animals—including a bear without water/adequate shelter, confined to a tiny concrete slab surrounded by her own poop. Its obvious that Deer Haven Mini Zoo cannot meet the animals needs and that they deserve to live in a true sanctuary.

I have seen the pain and suffering that these animals experience on a daily basis. They are in desperate need of medical attention and the basic necessities of life for an animal. This place is exploiting these animals for human entertainment. Do not support them by going there...for you will be sad when you leave. Dont take your children there because it is a depressing place. I cant get the image of these poor creatures out of my mind. How can you look at an animal who is obviously suffering and think that it is ok? This place needs to be shut down immediately!!!

Please stop torturing animals and keeping them imprisoned in cages like criminals. Please release them to a sanctuary where they can live freely in their natural environment Im from Africa, which is meant to be backward - but even we know that animals shouldnt be confined to tiny little concrete jails with no freedom or stimulation. Only a heartless psychopath would be happy to abuse animals for financial gain - so why arent the authorities taking action???????

Is this what will make America great again - I think not - when will you lot learn to live in this century not in the "glory" days of killing/cruelty just for the fun of it - wake up America the rest of the world really doesnt like you. Ive given you 5 stars for stupidity, callousness, and for just, well, being what we expect from America - are you in the South? (where all strange (?inbred) folks live - probably.

The owner and staff all need a visit and then a good beatdown and put in a cage and be treated the same way they do to those animals. Or is that too much for those who live in that area? Stand up and do something people. Wait its America nevermind people are too soft there. Wish i lived near there that place

If i could give a zero star i would ! These poor animals are so deprived. Its pathetic. The owners could care less about them. Dont go here and support this awful place .. These animals need to go to a santuary . Peta said they would do it all for no cost to them. They refused !!!shame on them!!

This is a hell-hole for these creatures and this place needs to not only be shut down, but the owners should be charged with animal abuse. Clearly these animals are in distress and and lack the basic necessities of life. Do not spend your money here!!

All roadside zoos, including this one, need to be shut down forever. Animals are not here for us to profit off of, or gawk at, or to entertain us in any way. Please do not support any type of attraction which imprisons animals in cages.

Dont visit, dont go there. Its horrible how they keep the Lily the bear in a cage and she has obvious health problems which we all know Deer Haven zoo does is not treat or even properly taken care of her. Just dont go

THIS PLACE IS BEYOND HELL!!!! Close this place down, somebody needs to lock the owner of this place and its employees in a tiny cage so they now that these animals are going through!!!!! YOU GUYS ARE BEYOND HORRIBLE

this zoo is a sad and sorry place for animals, these folks should relinquish the animals to sanctuaries immediately. Poor little bear in little metal cage with no water to cool off in and an injured pig, shameful.

Deplorable conditions. Clear signs of animal abuse. This so-called zoo should be permanently shut down, and all animals sent to reputable sanctuaries where they can receive proper rehabilitation and care.
