I was happy to see the low price but once I arrived I soon realized I would rather spend the extra couple bucks per person and go to Roosevelt Cinema in Hyde Park. This place was TERRIBLE!! Pop corn was "ok" but too salty. Getting extra butter was near impossible. You can get free refill BUT only if you get to the counter before they close. We saw an 8:15 showing and the concession closed at 9. The seats were all broken. The arm rests were busted so they did not stay up. They all drooped far down so putting your drink in them wasnt possible without half of it spilling on the floor. The womens restroom had all the stalls but one out of order. The mens room was same. No benches of anything near the restroom for your family to sit as they wait for others in the party to use the restroom. This made hanging on to refreshments a huge chore if you dont have 8 arms and dont want to bring your refreshments into the bathroom. This was not only my first time here but it was also definitely my last. Never again.

This is a 2nd round or 3rd round movie theater. They recently jacked up the price to $5 per person, even a 3 year old has to pay this price. This makes it even less unattractive considering the roosevelt cinemas in Hyde park only charges $5 per movie goer, and they have the latest movies. The seats are getting a little bit cleaner, although still cant compare with the regal cinemas next door. Now we do this:if theres a movie thats just out we need to see, we go to hyde park(its not that far). If theres a 2nd round movie showing in this cinema, which we would like to see, we go there in Tuesdays. They still charge jsut $2 per person on Tuesdays. Well we sound like cheap but we have 3 kids, and sometimes grandpa grandmas came too. So its a crowd. $5 per person plus some popcorn can turn into a $50+ activity.

My girlfriend and I frequent this place at least 2-3 times a month. The ticket price increased from $2 to $5 but thats still beyond fair for a movies that are still relatively new. Because of this theater, I do not go to the "Stadium" or regular, expensive movie theaters. The location is also very convenient in that it is walking distance away from an awesome froyo cafe. All in all, the quality of the projections can be better and the sound could be better, but for $5 its a minuscule complaint and if youre not a professional sound engineer like myself, you probably wouldnt even notice the difference.

I disliked the fact that some theaters did not have air conditioners.I can understand the up grade in price, but give us better service.I WAS APPEALED THAT TWO BATHROOMS DID NOT WORK ALSO ONLY ONE SINK WORKED.MY HUSBAND TOLD ME ONE BATHROOM IN THE MENS ROOM DID NOT WORK EITHER.IT SEEMS LIKE THEY ARE TRYING TO MAKE AS MUCH MONEY BEFORE THEY CLOSE?WE ARE SENIOR CITIZENS AND ALWAYS LIKED THIS THEATER BEFORE.THE SEATS WERE AN IMPROVEMENT BUT MORE IMPROVEMENTS NEED TO BE DONE.

$5 ticket. Dont wanna pay more? Dont get concessions! Movie theaters dont make much money from tickets, hence the high food prices. Just like a restaurant makes its money through drinks, movie theaters make money through selling overpriced food! Dont buy it if you dont want it! I love this place. $5 a ticket compared to $12 at the regal? Sound system could use an update, but this place is a classic that I hope stays awesome.

They show movies that were released a month or so ago. Small, quaint place. They have a great staff. Took my kids to see Pixels last week. Small, basic but served the purpose and $5 per person is a fantastic price. They also have $2 Tuesdays, that is another great deal. If you wish to catch a movie you may have missed when it was first released this is the place to go.

place is coming along nicely, its cleaner and the seats are better. Always go to this theater to see the movies Im not sure I want to pay full price for. The snacks are no more expensive than it is in any other theater and so far all of the employees weve encountered have been very nice and friendly.

I went to go see the movie "Pan". The movie itself wasnt the best but that is not the review here. The theater is really cheap in their prices. Snack prices arent bad themselves. The theater isnt as nice as the Regal theater in the galarea but of course, you get what you pay for

This place has great prices - the location has seen better days but the price just cant be beaten. The actual theaters got new seats recently and theyre okay - they get your money with the food prices though, as with any other theater. I recommend going here.

Saw a movie here today. There was a sign saying the A/C wasnt working in the theater we were in, but it was comfortable. Staff was polite, price was great, only $5. The theater seats are new and comfy, the bathroom is clean and updated. Great job, keep it up!

For a cheap movie theater, this place is very nice. Instead of seeing movies at Regal or AMC, my family goes to this one. We saw Diary of a Wimpy Kid: The Long Haul and Boss Baby here before, and it was a much more charming experience.

Place feels run down. But its super cheap and a good way to catch a movie you missed in regular theaters or didnt want to pay full price to watch. Hopefully the south hills mall make over will reach the theater at some point.

0 stars!!! Absolutely filthy and run down! I cant believe this place is still open! Dirty, dirty, dirty! Very sad! Needs to be shut down! Everything is filthy and unchanged from the beginning. Go somewhere else!

Volume wasnt loud enough. Movie picture kept cutting out but no one was in the projection room. We had to go get someone. Food is WAY OVERPRICED and the popcorn was stale. Bathrooms are unspeakably dirty.

Went to see independence day 2, possibly the worst movie ever, didnt mind though because this place is so cheap. They keep it clean and they do a good job, its a great value.

This theater is a nice throwback to an era thats quickly becoming forgotten. Its also the home of the Hudson Horror Show which holds its all 35mm film fest here twice a year.

Renovations have made the seating and quality improved. Inexpensive and movies are not first run, but worth it for seeing a movie you missed or want to see again.

Took my grandson. One huge problem is that the seats are so tall that he had to sit on my lap the entire movie because he couldnt see the entire screen.

The movie was inexpensive but the seats are pretty uncomfortable, some of the seats were covered with garbage bags, which gave the theater a broken feel
