The play was lovely. Absolutely fantastic. However, the staff were a bunch of stuck up, rude, pushy neanderthals. Firstly, most of us are paying at least $100 a seat, some of us $300+ - you would think we could be treated like patrons of the arts; the way I was treated tonight, well as much as I love Phantom I dont think Id come back unless Hugh or Howard were starring again. The women showing us to our seats were very hostile and pushy, shoving themselves in our faces and then shoving us into our seats. We were sitting in our seats when a woman told us: "You all need to stand up and let these people in their seats." Well we wouldve gotten up without that rude attitude if they had merely stated they needed in; which they didnt. They didnt even come over to us. Secondly, they need to allow more than a 10 minute break when they have huge lines going out of all the bathrooms. And when I FINALLY exit the bathroom nearly 10 minutes later, to get one more drink, I was encountered by a white blonde who rudely told me "Get to your seat, bars closed". With no "Sorry, the bar is closed; if you could please return to your seat.". Like honey, Im paying your salary, no need to act like Im a hoodrat because I wanted a drink and you all arent giving anyone enough time to do anything in at 10 minute intermission in a sold out theater with two bathrooms for both genders available. What are you expecting, a miracle? Thirdly, after the play we went again, to the bathroom, and then started heading out. As we were, we were ushered by the ushers to hurry up and not dawdle. I then came downstairs and went to purchase a shirt that I couldnt buy during intermission because there was no time. At this point it was maybe...15 minutes, max, after the show. As soon as we got off the stairs and moved to buy the shirt we were ushered out by a man in a tuxedo saying that the stores were closed and we needed to exit the property immediately. So.. I spent over $200 on a seat, only to be not allowed to use the bathroom, buy drinks, or spend $100+ at your store because you all wanted to get us out of there? And you all werent even nice about it. The theater itself is lovely, the bar staff I encountered (one older man with long blonde hair and one younger man with dreads upstairs), were both fantastic to chat with; everyone else were absolutely dreadful and I wont be coming back here - which saddens me because Phantom is my favorite play. But, Its obvious you dont want my money, since you wouldnt even let me buy a shirt and a CD and a necklace. Its obvious you dont want my money since you slammed the door as soon as we got out. Its obvious by your attitudes and mannerisms that you dont care about a single patron of your theater and the play that, may I remind you has only been the longest running musical on Broadway BECAUSE of us, the people buying your tickets. TLDR: if you enjoy being treated like a hoodrat, go here. If not, go anywhere else. Take your money to a theater that will appreciate you supporting their play.

So like I said before it was a wonderful night!

I watched The Phantom Of The Opera here. If youre not a broadway fan, this show will change you into one. One of the most beautiful shows Ive ever seen! The music, Andrew Lloyd Webbers masterpiece that is, haunts you for days after. Ive seen the movie, read the English version of the book, and watched the online video of the 25th Anniversary broadway show at Robert Albert Hall, but nothing is comparable to seeing it live on Broadway. We had the privilege of watching Seirra Bogges perform as Christine Daaé and shes considered one of the best Christines of all time. Norm Lewis was good too. But honestly, the play by itself is so enthralling, that when paired up with fairly good actors should also be enticing. The music, the sets, the costumes, opera singers as actors - all these put together do wonders in this show. They also have some Wednesday morning deals. TKTS booths behind the red stairs at Times Square may offer cheap tickets, if they have any left for the day. Broadway week from Sept 1st to 14th usually have 2 for 1 offers. Booking at the counter comes to $20 cheaper than booking online.

Dont laugh at me - Im a Phantom Phan and have seen this show at the Majestic 42 times so far. Every experience of those 42 times have been wonderfully amazing. The ushers and ticket sellers at the box office have always been great - one ticket seller sold me a ticket for a cheaper price then he should have one day. Ive been backstage for two tours by pure luck and coincidence - the techies, actors, pit crew, and costume designers were all very nice and patient throughout both tours. Ive dragged many friends, family and dates to see this show - they have all loved it and havent complained about the show or theatre service (although they may have been afraid to tell me they didnt like something about phantom lol). I intend to see this show many more times - until the unfortunate day of its closing :( a visit to the phantom and the majestic theater is a visit well worth the time. It is the only reason to go to times square which is now basically disney land for NYC

Without much ado here is the list of complaints: The temperature inside the theater was too hot. It was humid inside as well. It had to be at least 81 degrees inside. The seats are cramped together and there is no enough leg room. Everytime the people in front of me reclined their seat my knees felt the pressure and Im just 56. I sat in row K, seats 106, 108. This seats are to be AVOIDED at all cost. These seats do not reclined due to an emergency exit behind them. The seats behind me which were cheaper recline just fine. The phantom of the opera was excellent as expected! The theater itself gets 2 out of 5. A small bottle of water costs 5 dollars. A small glass of wine is 14 dollars or 24. No soda option. Coffee is available but. It cant be taken to the theater. Bathroom facility is a disaster, waiting to use the bathroom was way to long. The stage and effects were amazing! Yet it still gets a one star.

At the second set of the show, there were still people trying to find their seats. No just one group, there were about 6 groups of people trying to find their seat with the staff held their flash light on through out till the mid of the second show!!!!! While it was already annoying the staff held their flash light looking for seat behind me, the staff turned to me and said " please dont put your seat on the floor!" I was like, hellooooooo, I was trying to enjoy my first broadway show, what is wrong with you?" who cares if my bag was on the floor? it should be no one walking and trying to look for seat since it the show had been started for like 20 minutes!!!! Really annoying ~ and there was even one staff would held out her flashlight just did a flash in the mid of show and I had no idea what was the purpose of that ? except ruined my first experience of broadway show.
