We went to Disneys "Newsies". The great music and the powerful dance performance is absolutely four stars worth! I got bored a bit by the typical, old and tiring story of "good, poor and repressed workers against the devilish, avericious and matrialistic industrial magnate who in the end gets converted into good person" like Ebenezer Scrooge. In my opinion in this aspect our world has changed a lot, because modern companies and social systems do consider the needs and conditions of employees. Besides i find that there are other topics that would be of more actuallity and could earn more attention. Ok, i admit on the one hand, this topic could still be of interest in the US and on the other hand you have to expect stories like that when you go to Disney. Despite of all, we really enjoyed the music and the dancers and we definitely recommend it and, in the end, that is what really matters a night you want to be entertained!

DISASTER!!! What a wonderful show. I have never had so much fun at a theater in my life. Lots of laughs (I mean laugh out loud laughs-trust me), great music and a cast that is out of this world. Dont miss it. If you like to laugh, and if you enjoy 70s and 80s music, you will love this show. The only drawback is that the seating at the Nederlander is CRAMPED. I am over 6 feet tall and if I hadnt gotten an aisle seat (I always do as I am tall) I honestly dont think I could have fit in the seat. And where would I put my legs? Again, the only drawback, but I just wanted to warn...if you are tall you will need an aisle seat, or you will need to be sandwiched between those who love you.

Came here to see Newsies. The orchestra seating area is pretty small (you immediately see the sound control station upon entry, which is rather unusual), and the theater itself is not very big either. Fortunately, each row of seats is very nicely elevated, so everyone gets a very clear view of the stage, regardless where you sit. The sound system and acoustic are excellent here, however I did notice some feint airy sound at the beginning of the show (not sure if it was coming from the A.C. vent or just pure static). Though its small, the theater is very well maintained and equipped.

Newsies is a great show, dont get me wrong! But this review is about the theatre itself. I sat on the aisle in the balcony, and there were extremely bright lights lining the balcony that stayed on for the whole show. Those I found very distracting. The Air Conditioning in the theatre is also very loud and annoying. It didnt help that the sound guys were running the show really quietly that day. (Also, a given on broadway, theres very little leg room) Very nice aesthetic appeal however, and nice acoustics. And like I said, Newsies itself is fantastic!

Panggung prosenium.

A great Broadway experience! I saw Newsies and was blown away by the cast, crew, and theater itself. The seating area is fairly packed but gorgeous and certainly comfortable enough to sit in through a show. The seats are a bit squished together horizontally, which really made me feel like I was right up close to the stage even though I was in the middle of the balcony; however, if you need a lot of leg room you might feel cramped. All in all, I had a wonderful experience with both Newsies and the theater itself.

The David T. Nederlander Theatre (formerly the Billy Rose Theatre and National Theatre, commonly shortened to the Nederlander Theatre) is a 1,232-seat Broadway theater located at 208 West 41st Street, in New York City. One of the Nederlander Organizations nine Broadway theaters, the legacy of the theatre began with David Tobias Nederlander, for whom the theatre is named. The theater holds the distinction of being the southernmost theater in the theater district.[1]

We saw Newsies on Sept 7, 2013 and sat in last four seats in row L. The seats were all partially obstructed with the outer two seats having a full 1/3 of the viewing area obstructed (much of the play is set deep in the stage.) These seats were sold as orchestra seats and were not worth the price. If you see any show at this theater be sure to avoid the ends of the rows. The balcony offered a much better view at a lower price.

NEWSIES is my favorite musical that is currently playing on Broadway!!!! The cast is absolutely extraordinary! The scenery is astounding! The score is the best by Alan Menken and Jack Feldman! The book by Harvey Fierstein makes you feel engaged in the show. You will be blown away by Christopher Gattellis Tony Award-winning choreography! Additionally, the 1232 seat Nederlander Theatre is very comfortable for theatregoers.

This will always be a special place for me because Ill remember the bajillion times I stood outside on the rush line for RENT tickets with a million others. I saw the show a total of 16 times and got to know the theater well. The standing room section is also more accommodating than many others. I also find that since its a bit lower down in the theater district, the crowds are less intense.

Saw Newsies here in April and the show was great. The staff at the theater was very helpful in finding a seat. The theater was very clean and looked good. However the seats are not comfortable and there isnt much leg room and I am only 6 ft tall. Be warned there is only 1 bathroom each for men and women so when there is an intermission be prepared to wait a while.

Lasting impressions: Nice, intimate theatre My experience: We came here to see Newsies and sat in a box. The view was actually good and the chairs were soft enough that my bum didnt hurt. I approve of both of those things. The verdict: We would go back to this theatre. Any place that has seats that doesnt make my bum ache is ok in my book...

Womens bathroom was closed on 12/25/14. A bathroom down the block was pressed into service. It was a zoo, with long lines outdoors even to get into the building with the restroom. They should have had a plumber on call. After all, it is a Broadway Theater with some 1,500 seats. Also, no apologies were given.

A nice venue. Saw Honeymoon In Vegas and show was surprisingly good. The orchestra seats are all close to stage - not that deep an area. The balcony seats are great in the first 10 or so front rows - close to the stage. But the rear rows are really far back!

I went to this theatre to see the "Disaster!" show. I really liked it and the theatre itself was nice. The staff was helpful and the actrors/actress were amazing. Even though I didnt get all the references made in the show it was a blast.

Its one of the smaller Broadway theaters so even in row M of the Orchestra seats you dont feel too far from the stage. The seats have been refurbished relatively recently, so they are fairly comfortable.

The theatre has the air conditioner on so high. The whole audience is freezing. Really distracts from show. Many people complained to attendants but nothing was done.
