I previously had left a review giving this casino five stars but since then have experienced terrible service. We usually go to the casino once or twice a month from Vermont. We went here Friday and were so unhappy with the service. When we went in we went to the ATM and a rude woman- who works there-told us to go elsewhere to a different ATM because it was crowded, we told her it was no problem and then she said "go to that ATM" very rudely. I then said "I think she wants us to use that other ATM" and she then threw a fit and yelled "ITS CROWDED". Very unprofessional. We then went to order drinks and were denied because my partners license was 3 days expired. We found it silly to begin with because the woman who served us, always serves us and knew us. she still asked for our IDs and said it shouldnt be a problem but asked her supervisor to come over (who was the same rude woman at the front) denied her even with the paper license (which is valid in Vermont)- she is also 30 years old. After denying her, they then warned everyone not to serve her at all. Needless to say, we were so disappointed that we cancelled our reservation at the hotel and left (2.5 hrs back home after driving there and staying ten minutes.) and will not be back. Very bad service, very rude supervisor, very unhappy customers.

Just a short visit to the area, decided to quickly check out the casino. The small food court was closest to the side entrance where we came in, and we were starving so went straight for it- surprisingly good fast food options! Husband had chicken fingers, I had buffalo chicken burger, our friend had a cheeseburger. The table unanimously agreed it was really great. The casino floor itself is well laid out, lots of space to maneuver through the slots, lighting is good, decor is pretty neat with lots of LED lighting that catches the eye. All staff seemed very friendly and made good eye contact and freely gave smiles, seems like they enjoy working there. If were ever back in the area, would love to check it out again to take advantage of the sports bar or steakhouse, maybe some live entertainment, and see it a little busier (we were there around lunchtime on a sat). ONLY downside for me was the smoking sections inside the building; im very sensitive to smoke, but i understand the appeal for business..so theres that. Overall, would recommend if youre a casino fan :)

This is the 2nd time I have eaten in the new buffet, the first time the food was not good and the choices very limitied for 17.95 but I chalked it up to the new opening. Tonight I tried it again, and was once again disappointed. The mashed potatoes looked like they had been overheated in the steam table, no choices of vegetables. There was fried chicken but no poultry gravy. The prime rib ( though cooked nicely) had absolutely no flavor. You were out of potato salad and other cold salads and the shrimp was quite mushy. With the new hotel and renovations you may have considered hiring a pastry chef, the frozen deserts served in the aluminum pans is are a joke and so are the canned puddings. We need some class in this north country, but this buffet does nothing to help. I paid 17.95 for a bowl of soup and some garlic pasta ( the only thing that was edible)

I wouldnt go out of my way to visit again, and you pretty much have to go out of your way to get there. The usual collection of machines and tables. I had one issue that stood out. My Wife and sat at the bar and ordered a beer. it was served in a nice glass. We played the video poker machines at the bar for a few minutes then left the bar to play some other machines. A little while later we were stopped by a security guard who told us that glassware was not permitted on the gaming floor. I thought this was odd, but told him we would go back to the bar and get the plastic cups they do allow on the floor. The security guard felt it was necessary to follow us back to the bar. Seriously... We are not children. That kind of treatment would definitely prevent me from returning.

We, too, always looked over the coupons we would receive from your casino. I (not my husband) have received one coupon in the last 2 years and it was for a piddly $7. That isnt even worth the 3 hour trip over. The smoke is terrible in there. Your "no smoking" section is a joke since it was right in the middle of the "smoking" sections. People were bringing their ashtrays into the no smoking section and nothing was said from the workers even when they watched the smokers do it. We enjoy going to the casino in Oxford because it is smoke free and the people are very friendly. We hope to visit your place of business again but we will make sure we bring gas masks. If you ever do change your policy to No Smoking, I hope you spread the great news to your customers.

The good: Slot pay decent; move around some pay better than others, good at giving away free offers they seem to come more often if you use your memebers card, great buffet with some traditional native dishes, great free self serve drink selection, cool building design on the inside, run by first nations. The bad: Canadian money not taken at tables, higher table minimums on weekends, expensive hotel during weekends. All in all the best casino near Ottawa, if you want just slots try OLG on Albion rd. Lac Leamy casino in Gatineau is terrible, expertly designed to make you loose and watch for the local police if you go there there are speeding cams and police hiding around desperate to give you a traffic ticket to add to your casino loses. Must be run by the mafia.

tried to book a free night and the lady on the phone advised me that im eligible for 2 consecutive nights. so, i booked an extra day off work so i can take the kids from ottawa to hogansburg to go swimming in their pool. unfortunately, when i got to reception i was told i had to pay $75 for the second night. apparently, im not eligible after all. tried to explain what happened and they just offered me a 20% discount. after driving an hour and a half with a car full of screaming kids, i had no choice as they really wanted to stay a couple of nights. to me, this is unacceptable and if i was by myself, i wouldve just cancelled and never come back. very disappointed with this experience. if anyone else had a similar experience, please post.

I simply love the place, fun games, fair winnings, and great people. We normally go 5 time a Year, based on the Promotions we receive. We travel from a small town in Quebec (a 2 hour Drive) and rely heavily on the promotional material we receive in the mail. We waited with open arm for the March 2015 flyer, Only to find out that the process has changed, “A New Flyer and Process”no direction, no hotel phone numbers, nothing that I can see , that allow me to take advantage of offerings made to me in this flyer. The older flyer was clear, this one lacks in up front information, after 10 minutes of trying to figure our what the next step is, I dropped it..
