There was no staff anywhere near the ticket counter when entering, and the ticket kiosks to purchase tickets were not functional. After waiting several minutes, I walked past the boundary to the concession stand where I was rung up for tickets. When entering, the room was much smaller than anticipated, which was fine except the seating arrangement was awful. There were subtitles on a film and I had to arch all the way over to look in between two heads in front of me to see. Because the screen is high up and the seats are so close, I found myself straining my neck to look up. It isnt the theaters fault, but this establishment appears to attract individuals that were either speaking around me or on their phone throughout the entire movie, creating a very unpleasant experience. Lastly, as I was leaving, I asked where the restroom was and received attitude from the concession clerk, as if he felt he has better things to do than direct me to restrooms located on a completely different floor. Will not be attending again, will not recommend.

After passing Bow Tie Cinemas these past 10 years whether by foot, bus, or by car I found that once I was inside of said movie theater it reminded me of other theaters within Nassau and Queens as well as Suffolk in terms of comfort and sounds. My only reason sorry I mean a few reasons for 3 stars instead of 4 or 5 stars is there is no clear sign for parking if you came by car in which you either need to be in the neighborhood or come by bus, the price of a matinee ticket on any given day, and like any and almost every other movie theater -- the annoyance of other people checking their phones. Despite all of that I enjoyed being to said movie theater and I would probably go again because of the early showings that it advertised.

You could drive to Midtown Manhattan fight traffic. the buses, the people. And try to look for a parking space finally end up paying $37 for a half hour parking lot. Then walk to the theater Pay $19.95 for each ticket $86.00 for the munchies.Or have a family friendly experience by going to the bowtie. Plenty of parking in the area and its only $7.00 on Tuesdays. And when you get out. You dont have cartoon characters, Painted Ladies? or Street side Hustlers scaring the hell out of your kids . A five year old facing a 8 foot Dirty Big Bird with smell of alcohol on his breath . The Bowtie Family Friendly Fun.

Really nice place tbh. Staff is really nice. Rooms are clean, bathrooms are clean, hallways are clean. The rooms could be a little small like at most around 20 people per room so theyre family sized not crowded which is also nice. Then the family pack is the best part. However foods are pretty expensive. One small hotdog is about 5 dollars. They just need to improve on the food prices other than that bow tie cinemas is great overall its my 2nd favorite movie theater. (AMC is 1st) Id give it 4.5/5

I really love this movie Theater. Its small, very family oriented and not as crowded as many of those other movie Theaters out there. This movie theater is always first choice for my family and I. The Staff are also very friendly and polite and people who attend this Theater are family oriented and not the rowdy type crowd. They also give great family movie deals on the weekends. Love this theater. Thumbs up Franklin Square Cinemas! I Will always support this Cinema. :) :)

Last night i went to the last showing of Ouija which started around 10:30 pm. I bought a combo with a large popcorn & large soda which both are supposed to have refills. At the time of purchase i wasnt informed the consession stand closes early. Around 11:00 i went back to get the refills & it was closing. End result i paid for two large items & didnt get refills on either. Was really disappointed.

Still an attractive stop for movie going even by todays standards! Went here once and it offered the experience that a movie goer needs! This is one theatre you wont see disappear anytime soon, they know the movie experience & youll feel like wearing a bow tie too after the aftermath of it all!

Its OK for what it is. No one shut the door when the movie started, projector room light went on midway through the movie which was very distracting, and the vendor sold me a "popcorn lid" since they were out of buckets, which was full of end of the night crushed popcorn pieces.

Friendly staff, they brought the refreshments to me in the theatre (but I was one of two people at the first showing). Very small screen. Only two wall A/C units. I imagine if theatre is full it wouldnt be cool. Lights were on during previews by procedure - glare on screen.

This theater is horrible.they did not play any previews. The screen is so small. I think it is literally 4 of my televisions at home. It is also dirty. It would not have been so bad if it wasnt so much money.I did not feel like I got my moneys worth.they should charge $5.

I went to see "Fences" on Friday night. I paid half of what I would have paid on Monday at another theatre! Comfortable seats and not too crowded! The first theatre was sold out. I used to go to this theatre years ago. Glad to be reacquainted with them!

I will never return here unless hey installed new air system ...it was a hot box felt like a train station with no air on a summer day no movie theaters should be that way especially with all the money invested into this place horrible!!!!

Decent theater, definitely a no-frills experience. Only big flaw was that in Theater #1 the reflection of the exit sign could be seen ON the dang screen! It was extremely annoying and is something the theater needs to adjust ASAP.

We had to sit in the front row seats and they were almost under the screen. To be fair, the front row was about 7-8 feet from the screen. At that distance the sound was bad, hard to understand, however it wasnt deafening either.

Concessions bar is a zoo, every thing is dirty sticky, apparently I missed a food fight. The staff is loud and rowdy, and its the STAFF. Tiny theatre, with equally tiny auditoriums, seats not so comfy. You can do much better.

Ive been coming here for years. Its not huge but comfortable. The stairs could use some new carpeting, its been 10 years if not more. I never buy food so I cant speak to concession. Staff is friendly. Lobby is always clean.

Its clean and I love the small room and the workers are very polite and respectful. And the prices are good.I have no complaints. And if you have a gold card you get free drink or popcorn and its good and fesh wow lol .

This isnt a state of the art theater, although Bowtie has tried to keep up by renovating their theaters. Its great on super Tuesday when every ticket is $6 all day; you cant beat that price. Id recommend this theater.

My movie was supposed to start at 4:10. Its 4:51 and im looking at a blank screen. We told them that it hasnt started and they said they would fix it 20 mins ago. This isnt the first time theyve ruined my experience.
