Ive been to BKW twice now. To be honest I dont remember much of the first visit because I got a little too drunk. I do remember enjoying the brussels sprouts and the short rib immensely. I also had a great smoky mezcal cocktail. This past visit I stopped in for a couple drinks on the way back to the subway. Being late on a weekday the place was empty so we sat at the bar. Our bartender Nicole was super friendly and went over the wine and cocktail options. It looks like they much change their cocktail menu frequently because I didnt see the same mezcal cocktail I had before. I went with a "kind of a big dill" and my girlfriend got a "desert flower". BKW gives even a lot of dedicated cocktail bars a run for their money and both of them came out looking amazing with individual garnishments. Both were super tasty and I was surprised how well dill worked in the drink. At $12 theyre not terribly expensive either considering how much goes into them. While its quite out of the way for me its definitely a place I look forward to visiting when Im in the area again.

Really nice space, lovely atmosphere, great service. They have excellent wine here. Weird that you dont get a discount for ordering a bottle instead of by the glass, but hey to each their own sales strategy... I had the root beer pork ribs, which were good but maybe a little too sweet (or maybe I should have expected that given the name?) . Probably my favorite part of the meal was the cheese plate and the charcuterie plate that we shared. Really nice stuff, and the staff is very knowledgable about all the items.

Whats not to love about this place? Really excellent wine, phenomenal food, and a chill ambiance. They dont start preparing the food until you order, so you have a good amount of time to savor some of their wine or a cocktail while you have them make your food, but the wait is worth it. Indulge in some of the Fried Manchego & Shishitos or the Crispy Brussels Sprouts. Somehow get your taste buds some of the goat cheese sauce. Leave so satisfied.

The ambiance in this place is top notch. Great setting where you can relax and carry a conversation. The volume is medium so it sounds busy but not in a distracting way. Now onto the food.... Its pretty great! The food is cooked thoroughly and they seem to add their unique flavor to their dishes like the chicken. Have great wine selections and the price is right. Anyway who is looking to go out for dinner this is the place to be.

Love the crispy Brussels sprouts and the weekday wine happy hour. The layout here feels a bit more permanent than in the original Williamsburg location, but with the same wines and an expanded menu (at least when it comes to larger dishes). Dont know how crowded it gets on weekends, but Im usually able to get a seat at the bar when I come during the week.

The food is great and the wine is even better. You cant beat the quality of the wine especially when you consider they make it all in Brooklyn. The service is great. Robert is our favorite server. Whether youre ready for a great meal or just a glass of wine you need to check this place out.

We went to BKW on Saturday for brunch and it was delicious. Great ambiance with friendly staff. Besides wine, they also have great cocktails. I highly recommend the Hurricane Mimosa & Bloody Mary!

Brunch is very good, and the fries are especially delicious! But of course the wine is what you come here for. Great place to bring friends for a taste of some Brooklyn culture.
