From the moment you walk it the Monsoon, a converted bank, I forget that Im on Long Island but feel as if Im in NYC. The decor is modern and hip. The staff is attentive an friendly. There are two different Seating areas we sat in the downstairs section. The menu offers a wide selection of food that, I cant envision a person not being able to find something that theyll enjoy! They have a wide selection of appetizers and entrees. Went with my brother Phil and our good friend Yvonne to catch up old times. When you create a restaurant it doesnt matter how beautiful the restaurant is or great the staff is or how wonderful the food is... if each department doesnt compliment each other. Each was excellent. So while I have eaten in many restaurants and owned operated one I know how difficult it is to each at the the top of there game. Monsoon is at the Top with Food, Decor, and Service the you rarely see on Long Island. Look forward to eating there again!

This place is BEAUTIFUL!!! The food was excellent! The service SUCKS! They have a bunch of 20 somethings around ( there is no lack of people who work there) but they cant get you a drink without waiting 15 min...the food comes in 2 min but to get a glass of wine takes 15! Seriously...doesnt a restaurant make $$$ on drinks?? Also, when I asked for a drink not on the menu ( the waiter told me that it of course could be done) I wanted to confirm how its made and he cut me off saying " yes...I know how its made". I was VERY taken back and not only my self but the guests I had brought were as well. Bottom line, this was my 3rd time there and I am not going back. They should consider getting a more "seasoned staff"...I live close by so I often bring customers to Babylon for dinner. Service is VERY important to me and I am not going back anytime soon. Really sad because its s beautiful inside.

I stopped by Monsoon this past weekend after a co-worker gave me a gift card that he wasnt able to use, and I must say, I was surprised! The inside of this place is beautifully decorated with lights and theres a huge TV on one of the walls, and lots of space, and even a couch on the first of the two floors. It gave me a fancy but clubby vibe. Its a classy place to visit for an early dinner, and can also be a fun time with friends for food and drinks later in the evening -- I can see this being a lively, busy place at night (I visited at about 4:30). I had a small dish of chicken, peanuts, and clementine in lettuce wraps after splitting a California roll, along with peach river sake. Everything was delicious, and my waiter was friendly -- very knowledgeable and chatty. Im interested in going back to try different meals and drinks.

Favorite cocktails on the island! BRG has a great reputation on long island and I recently heard that they just opened a new location in Connecticut! I am a frequent Monsoon visitor and I must say that I will remain a loyal customer for years to come. Monsoon gives you a classy NYC style vibe, without the trouble of leaving the island. The staff at Monsoon is friendly, welcoming and always helpful. My favorite dishes at Monsoon are ironically the french fries! Lol. The sushi is amazing, definitely worth taking advantage of the promotions that they offer. For people who enjoy nightlife in Babylon, Monsoon on the weekends is certainly a hot spot to visit! Live music, drink promotions and great company make Monsoon one of my favorite places to go out. ENJOY!!

After showing up at 8pm on Saturday night wondering why it was completely empty, we found out the reason. We had a drink and a shot each, one sushi roll, and beef skewers that consisted of four bites each....95 dollars...thats right 95!. I hope this review finds the owners well and wakes him up to the idea that mayyyybe they should adjust the prices and the cooking. We will never go back to this restaurant again. The décor was cool but lacking patrons and good dining. I feel bad that we actually recommended it to a family outside that was contemplating going in for dinner....Sorry guys.

Amazing food and awesome place!! Only complaints are we needed a steak well done, but it came out medium inside, still delicious, but not everyone eats steak thats red inside (we can all have our opinions on steak and how its served..). Also they kept dimming the light down in the dining area until we could barely see..... Everything a la cart is a different/weird idea - meal does not come with sides and beware no potatoes except french fries (which are GREAT GREAT GREAT). I love the table sharing their foods philosophy

Honestly dont understand what the big deal is about this place. They served me a tiny tiny piece of salmon like it was specialty gourmet food from a top notch restaurant. The seats are so close to each other I was literally banging elbows with my neighbor. The bill was just crazy expensive for the experience. The music was so low all I heard was muttering of other peoples conversations. Lastly, instead of serving bread like regular places do before drinks come out, they served us edamame...

The food was excellent, I had the shaken beef as an entree. Succulent and delicious. They say its family" style, which I didnt enjoy and there really isnt enough food on the dishes to be family style. One of the biggest problems is the noise level when the restaurant is at all near full capacity. Forget about being to have a conversation across the table. If the person isnt sitting next to you, you cant hear them.

For the last two years my family has spent Thanksgiving at Monsoon. My father is a veteran, and since his knee surgery we have a hard time getting together with extended family for the holidays. Monsoon offers a delicious and generous Thanksgiving dinner for vets and their whole family. I cant express how much we appreciate this wonderful act of kindness!

Nice space and a cool vibe but the menu is not as diverse as you would expect. Dim Sum menu is limited and should be expanded. Some of the items are glorified Chinese fast food items with the price of a steak house…..Chicken Chow Mein. Also are they kidding with the drink prices especially the wine. On a positive note the service was very good

Monsoon is an interesting place. Atmosphere if very cool and reminds you of a Manhattan lounge. Cocktails and bar are great. The food is just average and expensive. Its worth going her for a cocktail and maybe a snack at the bar. Good for groups.

One of my favorite Babylon spots - the cocktails are amazing (try the popular Babylon Express!) and the ambience is trendy and sleek! Throwback Thursdays are a great night to visit - old school jams and 1/2 price wine all night!
