I NEVER leave bad reviews unless they are absolutely deserved. I am well known in the Long Island Karaoke Community as I have been to a great many Karaoke bars on Long Island. The ONLY advantage that The Lizard Lounge (aka Long Island Karaoke) has over other bars is that it hosts Karaoke most nights of the week. The service is terrible, the food is non existent, the sound system has so much echo and reverb going on that it is overwhelming to listen to let alone sing with it.. Dont even get me started on the bar owner... He has poor manners, physically and verbally harassed more than just a few of my friends (one is more than enough). The drinks are WAY over priced, there are no drink specials worth mentioning and food is practically nonexistent. This bar has a lot of potential and some of the people who go there are great. Unfortunately, when you have someone like Jay (the bar owner) calling the shots and making some very big and very bad mistakes within the Karaoke Community things are bound to turn sour. It really is a shame since this bar has been around a long time and used to be a fantastic place. Things change though and I am definitely not the only one who is unhappy with what this place has become. Dont let them sell you over with 10+ year old awards, features on network T.V. from the early 2000s etc. This bar has fallen far from where it used to be and there are so many better places to sing Karaoke on Long Island than here.

Came here on a Sunday night after looking for a bar on Yelp. Found this place and went to check it out. It was nice and clean. Video games at the bar and music from karaoke. I was with my girlfriend and we sat at the bar. As we went to order some beers, she realized she forgot her ID, so the bartender didnt allow her to drink. She was disappointed so we ordered a beer and soda. First of all, she is of legal drinking age, so she drank from mine a few times, but the bartender said she couldnt do it or wed be kicked out. Thats fine. Since we couldnt drink as a couple and I wasnt going to drink alone, I drank alone and snuck her some in an empty glass so we can leave quickly. At the end, when we wanted the bar tab, the bartender accused us of writing a bad review by showing us the review on his cellphone. The review I later found out was by Dylan McKay. He thought it was me because he saw me on my iPhone (I was playing a game on my phone). We had a back and forth saying he should calm down and that I didnt do any such thing (he was worked up and was taking it personally). He didnt believe me, but guess what? Heres MY review of my experience there (on Valentines Day). Nice place, would come again, but not with the bartender we saw tonight. Oh yeah, the review he accused me of writing was probably from last Sunday or earlier in the night. Googles review only says it happened within the last week and NOT an exact day.

I had my birthday party here last Saturday night and we had an amazing time! I called ahead of time to see if I needed to make a reservation and they just told me as long as I got there before 9 PM I could have the platform tables. Sure enough they were reserved for me when I got there which was so nice! The karaoke is super professional, sounds great, and the staff are very friendly. Bar staff were also very accommodating and drink prices were reasonable with drink specials announced each hour for $5-6, not too bad! The only downside was that a rush of people came in around 11 and we had to wait for all the new people to sing before we could sing again, which took about 2 hours. Some of my friends couldnt wait that long so ended up leaving. I completely understand how they run the show though and that Sat is the busiest night. If you want to be able to sing more than 2 songs in a night, I would recommend going on a weekday night or Friday.

This bar doesnt even deserve one star. They require you to purchase two overpriced drinks in order to even be in this establishment. If you go in with a group of friends and/or are the designated driver or simply dont feel like drinking youll be asked to leave. His place is extremely overpriced and only will provide water for paying customers. His staff is rude and obnoxious. The owner is even worse. Careful ladies...this owner wont hesitate to push you out the door LITERALLY if you dont meet his standards. Dont dare go in there if your tattooed and pierced because you will be profiled and denied service and any form of respect. You cant even enter this bar to ATTEMPT (attempt being the key word because you wont have fun here) to have any kind of fun if you dont purchase anything...because you will be call a loiter. Stay as far away from this bar is possible. Its trash just like its owner.

Hands down the absolute WORSTE bar Ive been to since i was in college. Drinks are over priced and the bar staff is inattentive and kind of rude. Youre not doing us a favor by serving us drinks; We are doing you a favor by patronizing your bar. I spent almost $100 last night at Circus Wednesday without getting a single buy back. Pathetic. The manager Jay needs to get his head out of the DJ booth and pay attention to what is going on behind the bar. Rest assure that I will never return to this dump and I will spread the word to all of my friends in the buisness about the terrible service this place offers.

If I can give these people a middle finger and a no star I certently will, they are horrible l, the staff tried throwing my brother out because he was a designated driver and didnt pay for a drink, youre suppose to go to a bar to have fun and instead they charge you for drinks even if youre not the one drinking. They also will skip over you for karaoke my brother registered for it and they skipped over him a lot..never will go to this place again Ill take my business elsewhere dont go to this place if you expect a good service you will get the furthest thing from That

Average sized strip mall bar with traditional layout of T.V.s, live entertainment including Karaoke and DJ. However this place also provides gaming systems for multiplayer on Nintendo Cube, N64 and and really nice stage for singing. Beverage catalog has an enormous selection and offers a decent amount of space for interaction with other patrons. Have been there a few times for a Cosplay event hosted by White Duck Events. People came dressed as characters from Movies/Tv/comics and had a great time. Very friendly.

came to this shithole for the first (and last) time last night. the owner is an absolute rude piece of shit. this piece of human garbage only cares about money and not about his patrons. he will bully you into buying something, and insult you for wanting tap water (as opposed to paying $3 for a bottle..). the drinks are over expensive and watered down. if you like karaoke, keep looking because theres always another karaoke bar.
