Final stop of our three winery tour for a thirtieth birthday celebration upon arriving at 1:45 pm on Sunday we immeadiately felt uncomfortable. After finishing our prepaid wine tasting for 11 people we bought many bottles of wine to enjoy at the winery around 3 oclock. With our bottles of wine and 3 overpriced cheese spreads we ordered pizza as recommended by the winery to continue enjoying our experience. They refused to let us enjoy the outdoor fire pit because they were closing in two hours. They also forbid us from enjoying a friendly game among family of bingo just for fun. From this point we were made to feel extremely uncomfortable . From 3:30 on every time we purchased a bottle of wine as more of our party showed up it was automatically assumed that our purchase was to go. Mind you, the bottles of wine are table size and we have grown our party from 11 to 17. The other two wineries, Auburn Road Winery and Cedarvale Winery were more than accommodating. I strongly recommend this winery to reconsider their policies regarding parties larger than four people as we were extremely dissatisfied. Unfortunately we did choose this winery as a few of us have been here before and enjoyed our experience. We have spent a good amount of money here and would have appreciated being treated respectfully. **edit: 4/4/17. We have received a response from the winery...there was not an apology on their behalf. They have stated I am trying to destroy their small business. They have also had a friend of theirs bash our group on a review. We were not obnoxious, a glass did break outside and we went in to let the owners know. They have also admitted that they would not light the fire pit outside for us because the employee was her mother and she felt that if she didnt want to light the bonfire then she did not have to. As for our group trying to destroy her small business, that is totally laughable. Little does this owner know that our group has four SMALL business owners and we have ALL worked for one or the other. We also all support local business. This owner needs to take a look around and get some free lessons in customer service. They knew we had a large group so they should have planned accordingly and opened up the bigger room for us. In any case not one of us will step foot in that establishment again. Owning a business is tough...you strive for good reviews but have to expect some bad reviews. I always try to make those bad reviews turn into good reviews.l and learn from those mistakes. Perhaps they should open a library full of quiet books.

Went into the winery last weekend to pick up some wine as a gift. I have been there several times and everyone is absolutely fabulous. They are always very friendly and accommodating. The wine is fantastic and made with quality in mind. Every once in a while, like the past weekend, a group will get too loud, but the staff does a great job at making sure their other customers have a pleasant experience.
