My husband & I planned a trip to Cape May & we were looking forward to visiting this winery. After talking to someone at the winery I was advised to make reservations so I did. We arrived at our scheduled time, paid and was escorted to bar with instructions to read about the different wines and select 5 wines to taste. Our selections were made the person who was helping us went to get the wine, she was gone for a very long time, 10 minutes according to our receipt, she was laughing & chatting with other customers then decided that menus needed to be wiped. Finally we took our receipt & asked for a refund. When we told them why we were leaving the woman who was supposed to be helping us said that she had " baby brain" and then my husband was told that he needed to calm down. This not only ruined our first day I felt like no one cared that the customer left unhappy and not needing to "calm down" because my husband is a very mild mannered person. I wish we would not have wasted our time or energy.

We visited last year and were very taken with the beauty of the location. However we purchased a pinot noir that was terrible at home. So tannic. This year I was very excited to try a Fire Pit Friday on our last night in Cape May. We made reservations, arrived on time and first were told there was no more outdoor seating. So we were seated inside. Then we were completely ignored. After 15 minutes my husband got up to ask two servers how we could order food. They couldnt find our server. After 20 minutes another server thought it best if she took our table. They had no lemons for my water. Really? It was not that busy inside but was SOOO loud. The sound system was terribly muffled and there was a large table of women with sashes and silly hats adding to the noise. It was all very unpleasant. So we left. What a dissapointment. We did however have dinner at Thats Amore which had impeccable service and fantastic food. Go there! They serve Hawk Haven wines!

We are so grateful to have chosen Willow Creek Winery for our wedding. It was absolutely a dream come true! Not only is the winery naturally gorgeous, but Kevin and his staff were professional, organized, attentive and genuinely delighted to share this special day with us. We had our ceremony outside (with the vines in the background) and our cocktail hour around the outdoor bar. The tasting room was transformed into a truly elegant and romantic space for the reception. Kevin was a joy to work with during the entire planning process. Our guests were blown away by every aspect of the wedding from the venue to the dinner. Their caterer, the Southern Mansion, is top-notch; the food was delicious! We give Willow Creek our highest recommendation for celebrating a wedding.

This is the second time we have visited Willow Creek and I will say it is a beautiful place but unfortunately the service needs a lot of work. The first time we visited we did a wine tasting and the lady who served us seemed very put out by our presents and was not very knowledgeable about the wine she was serving. We decided to buy a couple of bottles but they did not have labels for the bottle we liked so they could not sell it to us. We decided to try again and pick up a bottle to have with our dinner this evening. We stood at the bar for ten minutes without anyone acknowledging our presents so we decided to go to Hawk Haven . Much better service and more selection. Probably a good place for tourists but this local will not waste my time there again.

The winery is a very well kept farm and Nice people running it. The only complaint I have is at the tasting area. I have been to many wineries and most of them have free testing (incentive to buy there wine). Here they charge a whopping 10.00 for tasting. The small "free" glass comes out to be expensive. They sold me a jug of apple sangria for 25.00. If you come back with it the price will be only 15.00. The jug makes maybe a quart. Good sangria at a liquor store is less than half that. I believe it to be very high priced. I realize I didn’t have to buy any of this but just wanted to let you know they are high priced. I would not go back since there are other wineries in the area like Hamilton with much cheaper prices.

Nice location, but TONS of flies... gross... We didnt do the sampling since it was a little steep ($10 for 5 samples when we just had Cape May Vineyard $8 for 6 samples), but did have sangria. The pear sangria was a little weird, but the red was usual. Was surprised to see the one that the waitress spilled all over us still on the bill, but whatever, she did bring us a new one I guess. Sadly, I didnt get the stains out of my shirt later :/ The tapas were good (peach salad and flatbreads). On my next winery trip, I may go back, but not definitely. Not sure if the food outweighs the flies, plus the flies kept landing on the food yuck!

Having a tendency to spread our business around to the various wineries in the area, we stopped by Willow Creek in April during our first trip of the year to Cape May. After the wine tasting, we suffered a little sticker shock when the employee totaled our bill. We still purchased the wine, but I wasnt very happy. I do not remember their wine being this expensive last year. Willow Creeks wine NOW seems to cost about 30 % more per bottle than Cape May Winerys stock and since I can find no difference in the quality of the "drinkability" of the wine, I will no longer patronize Willow Creek.

Not sure if it was just me but if you are a fan of reds, there are better options in the Cape May area. I am sure they get busy (as it happened when we were there) but I dont believe that service should suffer due to that reason. Not as personal and warm as other wineries. The place and the vineyard however is beautiful, I am sure I will be adding a star soon, when I return couple more times and actually have dinner and maybe give them another chance and try a different batch of reds.

Service was great, people was very kind and attentive. Setting and ambiance is good, landscape is above average due to the beautiness of the area. However wines are sub standard, knowledge of grapes and wine was very limited, wines are good perhaps for cooking or for cleaning shoes, not for drinking. Compared to Napa or Europe, far, but really far away . They are trying and putting effort, that is commendable, just that.... Good experiment though.

We thoroughly enjoyed our first visit to Fire Pit Friday this evening! We enjoyed the wine, the food and our server was friendly, attentive and professional. The raw oysters were fresh and delicious! We also enjoyed the live entertainment and selections but thought that the music was loud for the space. It was difficult to talk without shouting a bit. WILL RECOMMEND with caution regarding the music volume. Thank you!

I was a little disappointed on the pricing... If you do a tasting in this case a flight you should get a glass with it or at least get a discount if you purchase a bottle. The prices are a bit steep for the quality, Im sure as the vineyard ages it will get better and then the prices will match. Beautiful property though.
