I visited this winery on 5/7/17 with my wife, and Im not going to beat around the bush here; Im disappointed. My wife decided on the tasting sampler of the white wines, while I went with one of their red wine tasting samples. The wine was good but thats about the high point of our visit. First of all the sample size was very inconsistent, it looked like the waitress poured random amounts from the bottle in a rush just to get them out. Secondly, while there we decided to order some food and decided on the pair and gorgonzola flatbread pizza. It took over 25 minutes for a flatbread pizza to come out. There were no more than 10 tables sat(Im probably being generous using the number 10), so being busy as an excuse would have been a lie. After we finally got the pizza I was even more upset, the pair pieces were places on the pizza in the appearance of having been tossed on without any care; I literally had to take pieces of pair off other slices to get a bit containing both pair and gorgonzola. My wife wanted to get a bottle of their peach wine and their white sangria. After watching my waitress talking to who appreared to be a manager for 15 minites I gave up and gave the order sheet to another waitress to give to her and ask for our bill. Another 15 minutes later the waitress finally comes back with my wine and bill. After waiting FAR too long for her to pick up my credit card I had to walk up to her to have her run my card so I could finally leave. I got home and took the wine out of the bag only to realize my waitress gave me 2 white sangria bottles. The peach wine was meant for today (mothers days). Some may say I should have checked the bag before I left, but for a grown woman to get my order wrong when it was written on a winery provided order sheet is ridiculous. That was my first and last trip to Cava Winery, and I will NOT be recommending it to anyone at anytime.

I dont know where to start... My friends and I love New Jersey wine and wineries. We have never been so disappointed. Bad service. Unknowledgeable. Unconventional overpriced wine tasting. You do not get the traditional wine tasting experience and its NOT a good thing. Cavas wine tastes worse than spoiled boxed wine. Ive never been unable to finish my tasting. They threw blends together that honestly smelled and tasted like wet dog. A very impersonal feel. A commercialized, no heart, no soul experience. The only feeling I got from Cava is that they try to squeeze every dollar out of their customers. Its a bad restaurant that sells bad wine. It really pains me to write such a bad review about a NJ winery. If you enjoy real wine, DO NOT waste your time and money here. Get your passport stamped, leave, and forget you were ever there.

Bought a few bottles up in sussex at the Rockin Ribs festival. I think they have a very nice smartly packaged product, that is different and fun. Doesnt try to be just another snobby wine for conniseurs. They have a very cool label with the dog paw prints and the fruity wine mixture I tried had a great flavor and high alcohol content :) Lighten up and have some fun with it. If youre into serious wines they have a few to offer as well.

Not impressed. Went to their annual pig roast and when we got there they charged an arm and a leg for entrance and we were 1 hour after they opened and there was no more pig left. Are you serious? When asked about what the deal was with charging us and not having any meat left, I was told by some grumpy worker that more meat will be coming later... and it did all cut up on paper plates!!!!!! Do I have to say more?

Good selection and good atmosphere. However horrible customer service. When we arrived no one to greet us or explain which room to sit. They seemed overwhelmed and not prepared for a busy day. Had to wait over 10 minutes at register to pay. Again, operations disorganized and not professional.

My husband and I came here for a wine and wings festival. The lines for food were crazy, but the wine was delicious. They have a lot of sweet, fruit wines, great on a hot summer day. The Raspberry White Zinfandel is my favorite, not too sweet, not too fruit, just right.

Wine tastes spoiled, seriously. The cheese platter terrible. We could not finish anything. Pretty sad representation of a "winery experience", and a shame for such a beautiful setting.

We are here right now. Enjoyed sampler but really loved the sangria. Service a bit slow but tolerable. Band Revolving Doors excellent. Weather perfect. Will return

Most of their wines are very sweet and fruity. Food portions are fairly small too. The out doors area is very nice and had an acoustic guitarist playing.

wine and atmosphere are very good, but the music and entertainment is always the same boring pop type stuff. Need to change it up with other genres
