Ive been coming to this theater for a long time and for the most part have been very pleased. The staff is generally polite and there is a great variety of snacks at the concession stands. Today I was going to see a movie as usual and as I was buying my ticket , a security guard came over to me to tell me that I couldnt carry a backpack into the theater. I was carrying a very small backpack that happens to be my purse that I carry all the things I need including medication. I explained that it was my purse and I need to have it. Security insisted that I have to take it back to the car or I couldnt enter. I spoke with the manager who told me it was for "safety reasons". This is nothing but harassment plain and simple. This has nothing to do with safety. First, theyre not going to be able to make everyone who carries a backpack to go back to the car or not go in. Also, if theyre not allowing backpacks then they shouldnt allow any purses that ar close to the same size that can carry the same items that a backpack can. They should just check the contents of every purse and let the person in like all the other theaters do. This is ludicrous and upsetting to the customers. Another lady was told the same thing but they let her thought because she had no place to put it. So how is that safety enforced? I had to put my backpack in the car and leave my medication behind among other valuables that I was worried could have been stolen from the car. We shouldnt allow them to a use us and make us feel like were thieves or terrorists, its just not right. I couldnt enjoy my movie after that because I was so upset. Im going to write a letter to the CEO of the company. This is a useless and discriminatory policy.

Good theater. They always seem to be upgrading their projectors and sound a little ahead of the curve. They really seem to be into automation but theres a fine line between automating everything and losing the personal service touch. Try calling them on any available number to find times on movie that hasnt released and is releasing in a few days... you know... so you can plan your Friday? (cant seem to get dates ahead on moviefone) If you call, all you get is the most infuriatingly moronic computer phone system ever created that doesnt understand a single word you say and has NO options to connect you to a live person or operator who can actually help even if you scream "Help!" "Operator!" "Someone!" "Please for the love of God, Anyone!" into the phone. Are they seriously getting thousands and thousands of calls a day that they need an automated computer robo-operator to handle the volume? No. Theyre not. I mean... I see at least 15 to 20 people working there every time I go. Can seriously NONE of these people be trusted to handle a phone call? Come on, people! I have been going there since it opened and its really clean and comfortable and the sound is decent - so the basic stuff is good. My pet peeves are things like the curtains not opening all the way up when the movie starts, (very likely something theyve tried to automate too) so you have to watch the whole movie with 5 % of the left and right sides of the picture projected on curtains. The concessions are also outrageously priced. $4.50 for a regular bottle of water. If thats not highway robbery I dont know what is. Im fine with the prices for other things, but bilking people for basic necessities is kind of not cool.

Would like to point out a few things. For a movie theater that is located in an area where they have these high end condos and where the residents are living well, they could have at least upgraded on the seats and have them changed into the red recliners that are now taking place. Also, I recently came here on a date and he happened to lose his wallet in the theater where we were sitting at and let me just say that the employees there and the manager were no help. Please explain, how do you tell a customer that the only way they will take a look at the cameras is if they know the "exact" minute of when the item was lost. Right, because it just so happens that when people lose things somewhere they know the exact time of when they lost it. In my opinion, they were not being logical about the whole situation and were just plain lazy point blank! In the end, the wallet was never found and we went on a weekday which means that it wasnt packed, now put two and two together... Overall I will not be coming here again.

Watching a movie is not a problem but this place the movie tickets are so expensive plus where u buy popcorn the quantity of the soda sucks your still thirst when you buy a median size drink the popcorn is not as good you want to be, you will need to add butter. The food price is a lot too + with no free refill. The seats are noisy and uncomfortable at times and sadly the armrest dont pull up. the last time i watch a movie here I sat the the way up and the screen seem pretty small around the edges. This place is rated Okay because at least you watched a good movie and that they still have the latest movies available.

Plenty of free parking, and there’s also an outdoor shopping complex within walking distance (also with free parking. The theater has a Ben and Jerry’s with what looked like 5-8 different flavors from what I recall. If I get here more than 30 mins before my showtime, I skip their options and hit up the Haagen daas located in the nearby shopping complex. It’s a 10-15 min walk if you go through the staircase in the underground parking. Also a chipotle, and Panera bread in the same complex if you’re looking for some quick meal options. Popcorn

Edgewater Multiplex is my favorite Theatre. Their technique for making popcorn is good old fashion corn popped with coconut oil?, its tasty, fluffy & lightly salted --- unlike that hard, old, reheated, crispy, overly salted garbage you get at lowes and the amc theaters. Popcorn may not be a big deal to some, ..but sometimes its the little stuff that matters since good popcorn at the movies is so nostalgic. They have a special on tuesdays nights when the tickets are like $7.50 Love this place!

Edgewater multiplex is one of those theaters that is possibly a franchise or chain in some sense, but I havent been to any other location in that chain. Although its a big place, the interior doesnt look like its really been updated for a long time. However, the one thing that does make it stand out and why I gave it one extra star is that they show Korean movies that recently released in Korea which is very rare around these parts with the exception of the AMC in Ridgefield.

Very slow service. They will have 2 lines available, backed up, when theres at least 4 lines that could be open, and 3-4 workers will be having a conversation essentially doing nothing on the side. I typically go Thursday nights and its very frustrating how slow the lines move for popcorn. It took me 15 minutes to get food once, and since then, I wait until after 8 to get popcorn even if I have to leave during the middle of the movie
