The theaters are not built stadium style. To compensate, the chairs recline-- a lot! In fact, if your exiting your row, you will undoubtedly bump the person in the row in front of you. Also, if you happen to knock over a drink or candy, it will roll down the isle and everyone will know. Not to worry, the patrons are friendly and the atmosphere is calm and quiet. The quiet aspect explains my three star review. It was a UFC event, and my first viewing on the big screen. Before the event started, Ariani, the UFCs ring girl said this wasnt a movie showing, and that we are encouraged to yell, scream, and cheer throughout the event. Everyone seemed excited. The excitement quickly turned to wonder when we all noticed the sound from the speakers were very low. So low, you could almost talk over them. I got up and spoke to the guard on duty (he was closest to the door) but nothing was ever done to fix it. Everyone in the theater had the same feeling. It felt as if the speakers lining the wall were off and the only speaker on was the one closest to the screen. It made cheering and yelling kind of awkward. I was expecting dolby like surround sound with thundering base and noise so loud, you felt totally immersed. Afterwards, I sent an email to the theater but I never got a response. I dont want to write the theater off but if someone elses review repeats the sound concern, I would look elsewhere for a UFC viewing.

Met Live In HD – SEE IT ELSEWHERE We had to get a refund on our tickets. The Wednesday Encore performance never happened. The equipment wasnt working and it eventually became clear the theater didnt have anyone qualified to operate it. We arrived early, waited 40 minutes past the scheduled start-time, and then had to wait in a long, slow moving line to get a refund. Management was slow to communicate to us and couldnt properly explain. They didnt even understand if they could start the program from the beginning or join it in progress. Ultimately, it didnt matter since the audience left. This theater recently had a very, very long overdue renovation, but it seems that the face-lift was truly cosmetic. I recommend Fathom Event and Met Opera fans see those programs elsewhere.

The worst management! The theater changed hands 3 times in a last few years. Each time its becoming more expensive and much worse. I had bonus tickets that I recently bought but because theater changed its name, tickets were supposed to expire by 12/21/16. Thats what management told me last month. I was planning to use around Christmas time. Today managers (man and a woman) told me that bonus tickets will expire 12/14. No exceptions even though I was promised end of the year before. They were not flexible and very unfair. I find it outrageous because I wont be able to use the tickets. Really bad management and a horrible horrible customer service!

Not sure if this is the same for every single hall in this theater, but the one we were in (Hall 4) for Star Wars: The Force Awakens has luxuriously comfortable, clean, and spacious reclining seats that were just unlike other large theaters in the city. The way the seats were positioned, a tall person sitting in front of you wouldnt be able to block your view. Reserved seating (at least for the movie we watched) was great as well. We could show up 10 minutes before the movie starts without having to worry that wed have to sit in the front row. Matinee prices for just $8 per ticket is pretty cheap too, considering the location in the city.

My experience with the renovated theaters has not been a good one. I have to use a walker and I find that the renovation has eliminated many areas for the disabled people. It is also a fact that what little seating does remain for disabled people is often occupied by able bodied people because the seats have been sold to them. What used to be a pleasant experience has now become very nerve racking because I now worry that I won;t be able to be accomodated. Please look into this situation and stress to your employee that seating for disabled should be reserved for the disabled only.

One of the best Movie theaters in NYC in terms of seat comfort and popcorn quality...I mean, if those things are important to you. They are to me. Comfy, reclining seats with tons of leg room. This place got a makeover a few years ago and its really nice. The popcorn is always fresh (not stale and bagged like the AMC and Regal theaters nearby on 34th and 42nd). They even have fresh caramel and cheese popcorn. I tried the "Cheetos Popcorn" and all I can say is OMG! Fresh, cheesy and actually has warm cheetos in it. Worth the trip just for the popcorn.

Came here for suicide squad in 3D. The trailers started and the screen was blurry even with the 3D glasses on so we complained. They said they would fix it. Then the movie started, also blurry. We complained again, and again they said they would fix it. It stayed blurry. The people next to us complained, and they told us the people they talked to said they would fix it. Nothing. After about the fourth time we went to complain they finally fixed it, but by that time about half the movie had already gone by. I really felt cheated of my money.

They offer discounted tickets in the morning - I paid 8 dollars to watch a movie at 11:30am, which was a good deal. Seats are very comfortable! Unfortunately, they had some issues with the projection and the movie took more than 40 minutes to start. They solved it and we were able to watch the movie with no further issues, except for a smoke smell by the end of the movie due to the construction they are having on the main floor. When exiting, they gave us a ticket to watch a new movie in compensation for the projection problem/delay.

How can you not love this theater. Its like they actually try to make your experience great. I mean, how many companies actually live up to their own motto where they try to convince you theres something better about going to their establishment. Well, this one does. From the big leather chairs, to the syrup-filled sodas, to the fresh delicious popcorn (with those where-have-you-been-all-my-life tops), to the fantastic surround sound, this place creates an ideal movie-going experience.

- Since this is not one of the major theater chains (AMC, Loews), you would think prices (tickets, popcorn) would be less expensive...Nope - But, I would come here for the impossible to get major premiere tickets, it seems small and unknown enough. I think there were 6 other people in my theater - The best part is, they seem pretty lax on enforcing the outside food policy. A lady behind me brought in a whole Popeyes dinner (And I felt bad for sneaking in my cupcakes)

I was also bitten by a bedbug about a month ago in this theater but it seems like they attack individually because I only found one crawling down my pants as I was watching a movie. I made sure to take off my clothes and change into something else before going back home and didnt find anymore on my body. And I heard theyre also in the other theatre thats a block from this one so do yourselves a favor and avoid these theaters at all costs.
