New park along the Arthur Kill. Many come here to fish but the water is very polluted. There is a playground for kids, restrooms, bandstand, and a mini golf course. The mini golf is only open during the warm season, and there is a small fee. A path leads from the pier to Danielles Garden on the other side of the park. Along the path are exercise stations, a boca court and a volleyball court. Beware of the area of the path farthest away from the pier, suspicious types like to hang out there. But that may change since the State Police Marine Barracks is being built adjacent to that area.

This park is really nice. Not to much info about it on the internet though. The mini golf is right along the river and is only $5/person ($4 for students and seniors). They have volleyball, Bocce ball, and other equiptment for rent (very cheap too). The google map has the correct location. When driving down Middlesex Ave you will see a blue sign on the East side of the street that says Veterens Pier and Waterfront Park.

Very nice hardworking people around Carteret, and its easy to launch boats and kayaks with their quality boat ramp. While in your boat, beware of broken dock remnants in the vicinity, with possible underwater snags and dangers!

I enjoy just stealing away time here. The combo of the waterway, wetland and park give it a serene quality. I caught the Latin Festival this year! Snap a few great pics, dont overlook the stone. Enjoy!

Beautiful place to walk or bring your children to play. Huge playground area and new water park type play area. Some unruly characters by the club house and basketball courts limit my review to 4*.

Really beautiful park with a water park for young children and even piano in the gazebo to play. Catch a release fishing as well and frequent movie nights too
