Tibbetts Park is a beautiful place. On July 6th 2016 I was so excited to finally re-visit the pool. Upon arrival I was greeted by a park ranger ( a slim, blonde hair lady with light colored lipstick) who was so rude and unprofessional. She began to ask for my ID and I was immediately intimidated... her mannerism was cold and rough. I felt like a criminal. I said "good morning". She replied "do you have your pool pass"? Her tone was unpleasant and unfriendly. Everyone else was absolutely professional courteous and kind spirited. But this woman should not be the first person anyone encounters when anticipating a fun day out with your family. By the way, I have been a Westchester resident for over 12 years.

Today just visited the park and was sadly turned around because I was not a resident of Westchester County. When does a park turn you around because you are not a resident. You either pay a little bit more but to be turned around with a kids Heart set on running and playing is sad. Young girl told us if we parked on the outside of the park we could get away without paying but we couldnt park on the grounds? Just felt a little bit disappointed thats Westchester County. I will be investigating this situation for sure. Never heard of a park turning any kids down

It used to be a super Ghetto pool and it was remodeled. The only way to get in is with a resident pass of Westchester county. Now it cost $5 for parking and $9 per adult. 12 year old kids are considered adults here. Pool has a water park theme to it and its mostly empty in the morning ours even on weekends. I guess its not for the poor anymore as the park pass cost $75 for 3 years. PS: a family of 5 with 2 kids older than 12 need 2 passes. Each pass only allows 3 Adults. The park area where you can BBQ is pretty good and they even have a rental space.

It was okay when I first went to Tibbetts, of course that was way back in the late 1960s, if Im not mistaken that pool I swam in did not have all this, what it looks like now, wow !!!! It would be nice to see some throw back pictures of that time, lol Thank you Old Putnam Trail, is the way my sister and cousin walked to that pool, we were young and stupid but adventurous and unafraid My oldest cousin told us to go that way since we had no money to take transportation, so we walked it...... I wonder if my sister and cousin remember this as well ?

Tibbetts Brook Park is one of my favorite parks in Yoners. What makes it so great, especially for New York City residents who live in the Bronx like myself, is that the park is connected to Van Cortlandt Park via the Old Putnam Trail greenway, and so it is very accessible. The park is beautiful and offers plenty of trails, open spaces, a large and beautiful lake, and recreational and picnic facilities.Such a great place to visit during the autumn.

This park is great, but can easily be much better. Starting with accepting credit cards in all places in the park, and they can allow parking for everyone (No big deal, you can find parking in the surrounding area). Lots of family and BBQ around the park, that for my opinion is sometime too noisy, but if you are into bringing the family, and have a BBQ in a beautiful location, this park is for you. Come here, enjoy the green, and relax.

Active for all age cheap so if its good why not five because of the long wait line in the water slide wrong label by the locker room it should call locker room or change room not exit, food is good, If you go there and it said the pool is close because it reach maximum capacity hanger around the park it will be open later. We wait for 30 minutes and they open, that was good. Bueno Bonito y vara to que Mas quiere serca.

Very nice park to go for a long walk or run. Trails run throughout the park in different ways. Decent sized field and pool for summer time activities. Garbage collection is and issue as there can be litter laying around sometimes, but that is hardly the parks fault, and the people that work there are very nice. The South County Trailway runs through the park so that is convenient if you want to venture on that.

Great place for a cookout or to take the kids to for a fun day in the pool. Keep in mind this place gets crowded quick on the weekends. Parking is $5-$10 and if the main lots fill they have overflow parking across camp grounds but bring your walking shoes its a nice trek. There are playgrounds and tennis courts...just a lot of ingredients to make a memorable family weekend.
