What a pleasant surprise! Tucked away in the Camden hood. Its actually in an industrial area of Camden. I was always hesitant about going here because of Camdens violence history. I feel pretty safe here and in the parking lot. The people are very nice. The staff is friendly and the music is great. Its a medium size rink. Bigger than Cherry Hill, Smaller than Delran. I like that they have barriers where people cant just jump in the rink and cause an accident. Ive been to afternoon and evening session. Afternoon session have a lot of kids who are new at skating. You just have to be aware where they are. Ring guards are they during afternoon do an okay job of controlling skate experience. The evening session on Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday are great for intermediate to experienced skaters. A lot of people there seem like regulars and friendly and skate to practice and have fun. Wednesday nights are for really experienced skaters. Im not quite there yet. I try to get there at 9p and leave by 11:30p. They are open to 2a and it gets really crowded. However lots of Rink Guards during this night. I like this skating rink. They have rules, but mainly for safety. They dont limit your fun. I like to skate backwards. Other rinks in the area limit this to certain songs (Delran/Cherry Hill). The music here gets me going. Its a great workout when the weather is bad outside. ******Here is my grade on a rating from 1-5. Location: 4 Parking: 4 Safety: 3.5 outside/ 4 inside Staff: 5 People: 4.5 Cleanliness: 3.5 Rink Size: 4 Floor Condition: 4 Music: 5 Price: 5 (Cant beat $1 or $2 days on Tuesday and Friday) Intangibles (atmosphere): 4.5 always a good time Try it out. Youll like it!

Millenium Skate World is in Camden, NJ, which may turn many people off from the outset. The roller rink itself is set a block or two off from a decaying industrial district. However, once you reach the rink itself, its a nice place. They have reasonable rates, their skates are good quality, and the music is good if you like contemporary rap and hip-hop. I have found the patrons to be largely courteous and careful about their surroundings although there are the usual kids and hotdoggers who you have to watch out for because theyre not paying attention to their surroundings. There have been no disturbances of the peace in the times I have attended, although the weapons check for the night skate was slightly offsetting. If you are a fan of dance skating, this is an excellent place to go. A large number of patrons do various turns, flips, and other such flourishes while skating down the floor, and the center of the floor is usually filled with people doing more complex dance maneuvers. As far as I know and have experienced, this location does not do contests such as the limbo, races, or elimination games, but that may be a factor of the times I have been able to attend. While it may not be a factor in the decision to attend, it is worth noting that the patronage reflects the local demographics. Caucasians are largely a minority in attendance. Lastly, it is worth noting that, unlike most other rinks in the area, public skating is available every day of the week and at multiple times.

The owner of this establishment should be ashamed of themselves. First time visiting this rink. Took my kids for their dollar night. To start with upon entering the rink I was greeted with the most horrible stench. It was so bad that I had planned on buying pizza and nachos to snack on but quickly decided against it after getting a whiff of the place. We walked to the back to get our skates. Their condition, lets just say I had to ask for several different pairs until I could find one with no holes. I mean my toes were literally sticking out of some. I actually ended up opting for roller blades that were in a little better condition. Let me just repeat how disgusting the carpeting was and the carpeted benches even worst. All types of questionable stains. Child supervision is non existent here. I was attacked twice by 2 little girls that wanted the skating walker I had rented for my 4 year old. Im holding onto it and they would just grab an end and try to skate off with it. Never did I see their parents and I had to address them several times. The DJ played music that had profanity in it and inappropriate content for children. My children had a blast skating but I would never take them here again. This place is unsanitary and unsafe. Someone should report them to the department of health. Just by the condition of the skates its obvious that the basic health regulations arent being followed. I wouldnt recommend this place to anyone!

This is a great floor but the music gets blasted, there are like no floor guards, and kids are encouraged to roll around with toys in their hand with the lights off during glow skate...its dangerous? Also, I go with school groups, that book weeks in advance and they are never prepared to feed the couple hundred kids they knew were coming and they knew ordered packages that would include pizza. Its way understaffed.

Ive been skating here every Wednesday night (Adult Skate) for over 2 years. The average skater is advanced. Super friendly crowd. Extremely well-run facility. If youre new to roller skating or just coming back after a long time, Wednesday nights are NOT the time to go since it gets crowded and the pace is fast! Start with the sessions on other days and work your way up to Wednesday nights.

Millennium skate center is a fun and enjoyable establishment. I have only experienced competent employees and management . The prices are just right, affordable for the community it serves. My only complaint is, the music selection. The Djay needs to broaden his selection to accommodate the wholesome families that patronize the facility. The music choice needs serious work.

About to plan my daughters 14th Birthday Party here. Had her 13th here also. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The facility is clean (and you know many skate rinks are not!). And the prices are reasonable. Hard to find fun/safe stuff for teens, but they like this and its a good time for parents too!

I enjoy coming here on Tuesdays and Saturdays, and its always great when there is a large crowd of people here. Fights have broken out on certain nights, but this place still has kept up its charm of roller skating.
