Apparently they have a "no spectator" policy. When I asked why someone couldnt just spectate they said it was dangerous and they dont want people just getting drunk there (it was mostly rambling without a coherent answer). All the while, those throwing axes are drinking and getting drunk. The woman then tried to back-peddle and say if someone has an injury and cant participle they could fill out a waiver and spectate, but not if you just want to watch. It appears they just want your money and a group of people cant enjoy the experience unless youre all actively participating and paying. Will not be back. If theyre smart theyll change the way they conduct business.

Super cool place and staff. I was there with a mildly rowdy bachelor party and the folks here took it in stride. They were super cool and accommodating. Also, they taught us to throw axes. You cannot find a better group night out. Its BYOB (beer, cans only), which makes it a super-cheap night out as well. We threw axes for (I think) $35 a person for two hours and change. Im told it wasnt in the greatest neighborhood but we were out late on a Friday night and everything seemed pretty cool. Treat yourself to this experience at least once.

I went here with three other friends, and we waited for about twenty minutes into our marked time until we were allowed a lane. We shared it with two others, which was fine, but I felt bad for them to have to wait while all of us were given instructions for 10-20 minutes. Another guy was placed in our lane bringing the total up to 7 people, and we all had to wait again. The price is neither bad nor good, assuming one gets a full hour. The staff was very friendly, energetic, and helpful.

Tons of fun. The "trainers" are fun and dont judge your terrible axe throwing abilities. Great place for a large group (we had 15 ppl). Just a really good time all around and pretty damn unique. Definitely make sure to bring some beer / wine to spice it up. Food too! Only minor negative - Be prepared for some some warmer temps when the place is packed. They need to keep the windows closed for some of the neighbors and it got a little toasty.

This was the highlight of our dear friends bachelor party. Almost too much fun. Brian was a superb coach; his expertise brought me from dead last out of seven to tournament champion. I felt like a Viking Berserker fueled by Yuengling. Why would you ever go bowling again? Go... Tonight... Seriously... Support this awesome club and fantastic staff. And Brian, your sage advice will be with me always: just throw the axe.

The scheduling and reservations can be difficult and tedious, organizing groups of people to even get in, but one there, they have an organized system in place that makes up for it. It would be nice if they had more available times for walk-ins or smaller groups than 8 people to be able to check it out. Service and teachers are great. Axe throwing is surprisingly difficult and fun.

This place was fun as we went for a work function. The lady at the front desk area was super condescending because my singnificant other was wearing flip flops. Extra rude for no reason. I was able to enjoy myself but probably wont be taking any friends or recommending the place due to the attitude of the staff. Its not that hard to be nice you run an axe throwing joint.

This was an awesome experience and I cant wait to do it again. Coach John was amazing and made the whole experience for our 12 person party a blast. We had matches come down to wire where the micrometer and BIG AXE had to be broken out! Overall 5 star event. Super well organized and just a ton of fun. Go check it out you wont be disappointed!

Great venue for a group night out. The staff is friendly and helpful. The coaches were knowledgeable, and easy to get along with. There were other groups in other areas, but you wouldnt know they were there unless someone hit a bulls-eye. You could tell we were all having a good time.

Urban Axes was such a fun time!! My friends and I knew wed have fun, but I dont think anyone expected to have that much. Michele was our instructor, and well definitely be requesting her in the future. She made our experience what it was, this place is awesome!

Been here twice now for two bachelor parties (although always see groups of ladies there too), and had a blast each time. The activity itself is great. The staff are friendly, fun, and responsible. Its a solid experience from start to finish.

You might think, how fun could axe throwing be? Very fun is the answer. This is a great place for parties or big groups, you can drink and an axepert will keep score. Get Charles, that man knows what hes talking about.

This place was so awesome. Charles was a charming greeter but our coach Alex was amazing! He helped us to get better but had such a warm demeanor and was so pleasant to hang out with. Loved this whole experience!

Its cool if you like extreme stuff or if you are a hipster. Not for the meek... unless you have some bottled up feelings to unleash. Staff swore alot which I didnt feel was needed but whatever. It was fun.

Awesome to hear all the various groups erupt in cheers when someone hits a bullseye. Our babysitter/coach was the right mix of follow my safety rules, but otherwise do what works for you to sink an axe, ya?

Staff are super friendly and nice! The place is just cool. Anyone can do this - it is not just for the young & athletic. Good place to go if you want to try something totally different with some friends.
