I was very disappointed by the extremely rude staff in this escape the room game. We went to the escape the room yesterday for my gfs birthday. Despite mention on their website about having something special for birthdays, they actually did not do anything, not even say happy birthday to her. Several of us, including myself and the birthday girl, missed our train. My gfs mother said the staff was unnecessarily rude about starting the clock before we arrived, especially considering that according to their website where we bought the tickets they didnt have any other customers that evening (maybe this should have been a red flag, but it was a Monday night...) Fine, I get that, technically we paid for a certain time that ends at a certain time, but he didnt have to be rude about it. Still for the most part my gf, her family, our friends, and our two kids (ages 4 and 6) were having a good time. We made quite a lot of progress in the 50 minutes they allowed us and just as the timer went off we discovered the final key. Literally all we needed was 10 seconds to walk across the room and stick it in the lock. Instead of considering the birthday, the small children, the fact that we lost 10 minutes from our time because of missing the train, the $300 we spent to buy the room out (we were told we *had* to buy the room out to bring the 4 year old) the guy would not spot us 10 seconds. Oh he let me walk across the room and stick the key in the lock.... but then went on to label us "losers" and wanted a picture with signs that said we lost when we had in fact solved every single puzzle. Then he went through and explained all the puzzles we had just solved as if the fact that I needed 10 more seconds to get across the room meant that we hadnt understood how to solve the puzzles (did he think I pulled the key out of my ass?) The whole time Im thinking, "you wouldnt let us start late, but saved time for this?" I dont understand how anyone can expect to run any kind of business and have their staff treat customers so inconsiderately. We will never return to this escape the room and we will make sure no one we know goes here. Theres a better one in KOP, and also "The Amazing Escape the Room" is nearby in Philly that we will try next time instead.

Ive waited my whole life to have an experience like this - a point and click adventure in real life! You can read all of the other reviews if you dont understand *WHAT* this is! It was fun, and the challenges were definitely well thought out. The only reason it is four stars from me instead of five is because the setup is a little low rent for the $28 admission. I would have felt a lot more immersed if they had put a little more effort into decor and the way things were set up and designed. Atmosphere is part of the excitement. For instance, maybe a TV mounted to the wall droning on in an annoying office instructional video, or anything that felt they went that little extra mile. I would have liked a lot more red herrings. Basically, just based on the minimal effort they put into the whole thing, I think $15 is more right-on for a charge to participate. Also, there was a VERY intricate puzzle involving electricity that didnt work properly and derailed us a little bit because we didnt know if we had done it incorrectly or WHAT, but when our work was checked at the end and it was shown we HAD done it correctly, it was a little bit of a bummer. Still, it was a lot of fun. My group got about 75-80% to the solution but didnt quite make it. :(

This is so much fun!! I really like that they give you clues along the way to help you out but the clues arent a dead give away. They keep you thinking the whole time. Very creative and interesting and a great mental challenging. The one hour time limit makes it all the more fun. Its very safe as well. Emergency exit buttons in every room, cameras in every room that the staff can keep an eye on everyone. they also let you know that if you need out before you have escaped, you can wave/call for them and they will open the door. My ONLY issue is that they sell 10 tickets a room no matter what. This means if you are in a group of less than 10, youll most likely be grouped wit people you dont know. Wish they had a option for smaller groups. This isnt a deal breaker for me though as it could be a good way to meet new people. Im not sure if this is the best thing for very young children, may be best for teens and adults. Very fun!! I want to try all the rooms they have and I have already recommended it to all my friends!!

When we first arrived we were put into a small room and the door was locked. suddenly, gas came out of the vents and my group lost consciousness. We awoke in a different location. The lighting was poor and there were a lot of rusty and dangerous looking contraptions. I would have thought we were in a torture chamber. I dont want to spoil anything for people who are looking forward to figure it out on their own but just a hint: DONT stick your fingers in the knights helmet visor. I lost 2 fingers Despite that loss, it was a TON of fun. However, i will not go back because i lost 2 loved ones in that dungeon and i dont look forward to losing anyone else close to me. Highly recommend for people who dont intend to have their date home before midnight.

If you are looking for a fun, unique & different activity this is it. Its only 1 hour long and you really are locked in a room and have to figure out how to get out. Clues are randomly placed through the room and every now other clues are given to you. You have to be creative and smart to put those clues together. We were a group of 6 and were put with 3 others but you could easily bring a full group yourself. There are 3 different room scenarios now, we were in the office room and will most likely go back to try the others. Id bet you cannot put the clues together to escape the room in the 1 hour timeframe.

I had high expectations after hearing about it on one of my favorite podcasts, RT podcast, and it was better than I expected! The puzzles really made me and my group analyze every inch of the room and to our surprise, it had a hidden door to get into another room. He group I went with was only 6 people and it got pretty tight, so I cant imagine why they recommend a group of 10 on their website. When you finish youll continue to think about that room for the rest of the night. Highly recommend this.

I played alone but I recommend taking a friend or double checking to make sure at least one other person is scheduled, maybe 2. You can have up to 10 players and it would still be fun if you did because the puzzles are genuinely challenging. A game master will watch over your progress through cameras and ensure you arent fully stumped by providing clues to keep it fun. Recommend this for anyone who likes puzzles and riddles or challenges in general.
