If I could give zero stars I would. ABSOLUTELY AWFUL EXPERIENCE. DO NOT GO HERE We had the WORST SERVICE and the RUDEST bartenders. First off, the fact that the bride who was still in her wedding dress couldnt get a drink because she forgot her ID was awful. You would think the bride who reserved a private after party INCLUDING FOOD (probably like 30 pizzas) for all their guests would assume she is of legal age. They refused to let her in at first because she didnt have it. They were so rude to her. We sent someone to get it back at the hotel. While this was going on the manager tried to talk to the bride but he was not accommodating whatsoever. It seemed like he did not care for any business and he was very unprofessional in the way he handled himself. When guests were clearly upset over the bride being treated badly/unfairly they may have vocalized their opinions and instead of the manager acting calm and professional he responded back in a very aggressive/hostile manner. He did not try to put out the fire instead he was fueling it! It made us want to leave all the more. HE WAS VERY UNPROFESSIONAL! Secondly, when I went to order a drink for me and a friend the bartender was giving me serious attitude. She looked like she was not even old enough to bartend! I asked for two beers and she asked me who the other beer was for and I pointed to my friend. She then asked me for mine and my friends ids after we were already carded at the door. Remind you we are all about 30 years old and do not look underage at all. I gave her mine but she wouldnt give me my beer until my friend got her Id out too. She made her go all the way across the room to get it. When she came back with her id she was given her beer and then the bartender looked at me again and asked for my id again! I was carded 3 times in 10 minutes! It seemed like she did it to be spiteful. She was so rude! Also think she purposely overcharged me because a bud light and a coors light should not cost $20. I have never been treated or seen customers treated so poorly at a bar/restaurant. It was really unfortunate because it seemed like nobody cared to make money which they could have made a lot of business from us and the poor musician was now singing to an empty room :( The whole experience left a very bad taste in our mouths. We left and went to Ri Ra which was 10 million times better. Go anywhere in Portsmouth but here they sucked.! Worst establishment I have ever been too!

My husband and I just moved to the area. We decided to go out for dinner last night. We had a very bad experience here. We were greeted quickly and friendly by our server. We placed a drink order. A carbomb and a non-alcoholic beer. The guinness came without the shot and they were out of Odouls, no big deal. My husband ordered sparking water, it never arrived. I asked for my shot that went with my beer. I was brought another guinness and the shot, finally. Our soup arrived, with no soup spoons...Its okay, our server is very busy. We waited for soup spoons...by the time we ate our soup, it was ice cold. Oh, I didnt order soup, just my husband. Two soups came. Our food arrives. My husband ordered his burger medium, its well and cold. The fries on both of our plates were cold. My fish and chips were okay, minus the large amounts of breading and the VERY OLD and terrible tartar sauce. We asked for fresh fries, which were brought quickly. We expressed out thoughts to our waitress. She was nice and gave her apologies, not her fault that the kitchen is putting out cold food. We chalked it up to a bad night out. Our bill came. She was nice enough to take off the burger. She charged us for the Odouls, the extra guinness I didnt order, and two soups!! We asked her to take off the Odouls, she did. UGH!!! By that time, I was ready to go next door and buy a bottle of wine. The manager went next door to asked when they closed. The employee of the wine shop told him 8:30. We went next door to find the upstairs lights off. The rude woman, said "do you need something, we closed at 8pm" Its 7:50. All I wanted was to buy a nice bottle of wine after our horrible dinner experience and we walked out empty handed. We proceed to go to Popovers for dessert. We were greeted with yet with another unhappy customer service employee that told us they were closing too! Does Portsmouth shut down at 8pm? They had an entire dining room filled with customers. Another woman there was nice enough to sell us a dessert and coffee. We were out in 10 minutes while they dining room was still full. Portsmouth, we were very disappointed with our evening!!!

I have been going to the Pizza bar area since I was a kid. The pizza is always good and the atmosphere good. My main complaint is with the "Fine" Dinning area. I have walked out once after being ignored by the wait staff, it took 5 minuets for them to seat us when there was no one in line. Then after waiting at a table for an additional 10 min and no server coming over we walked out. They were all busy sitting in a booth chatting. We ended up at Fat Bellys across the way, great restaurant, lots of fun and great food. Then, my mom and I decided to give it another go this weekend since it looked like they were kind of busy but not overly crowded. We sat at a table near an open door since the brink oven was wafting smoke into the dining room. It was a little smoky but we decided to give it a try. Then half way through our meal one of the waitresses closed the open door that was letting fresh air into the area. This just made the whole place get smoky. Our eyes were watering, as were the eyes of other patrons sitting around us. Finally someone sitting at another table with a small child opened the doors again. A few minuets latter the waitress who closed the doors started to accuse the hostess of opening the doors. She would have close them again had large group sitting near us not treated to leave if they were closed. Her excuse was that because the doors were open it was getting smoky in the kitchen. Im sorry but shouldn’t the comfort of your patrons be more important than the comfort of the kitchen? The food was good but once again the staff is the downfall of this place.

The server sat us down for the pizza buffet downstairs and got us our drinks, then we didnt see him again for about an hour when he came over to check on us. I was angry by then and asked for the manager. He told me that he couldnt find one and I told him to try again. I told the manager that we never got any service from him or did he check in with us and we were all thirsty. The place wasnt busy, just my family and another couple. She apologized completely and took care of our meal and gave us a complimentary gift card for the issue. This is the only reason why they are getting two stars instead of one. This wouldnt have been a problem if he wasnt so worried about the group of twelve and whether they left a tip or not. He even looked at us and skipped us or nit seemed that he never came our way.
